I want to share my experience at Carmike Cinema-Park Place 16 . This theater is located directly across the street from another theater with a similar name. After searching for the movie I wanted to see online (and seeing that it was playing at "Park West" in Morrisville, I arrived at the theater and was told that they werent playing that film. I stood there in confusion with three employees staring at me like I was crazy. I asked the employee why the movie would be listed as playing at 12:20 online when it wasnt actually playing at this location and she directed me to locations in Raleigh and Durham. I pulled up the listing on my phone and asked directly if there was another Park "something" in Morrisville, to which she replied, "I dont know, maam, I only work here". After ascertaining that I was in the wrong location (Park West is across the street), I asked why she, nor any of the other employees standing around, would not help a confused customer who was clearly looking to see a specific movie at a specific time at a specific theater. She told me shoud wouldnt help me give money to another theater...which is fair. However, she responded to my questions in such a condescending and nasty manner that I was almost dumbstruck. I couldnt believe she was speaking to me in front of other people that way. There were no other customers, only three employees standing around gawking at our exchange. I called the theater later and spoke to a manager and was again disappointed in the lackadaisical response. Cary/Morrisville/Apex is such a nice area, with no shortage of movie theaters. As the closest theater to my home Carmike is the one Id visited most. I dont intend to return unless staff learn the meaning of customer service. Im not a person who believes the customer is always right, but there is no excuse for the way I was spoken to today. Id rather pay extra to people who seem to care about my business.

This place is terrible. Its a shame that the management has let the theatre get so disgusting. A piece of the ceiling literally fell off and landed right next to my daughter. The seats are so old and flimsy and everything smells like must and mold. The theatre usually has decent movies, but who really wants to go there when Park West Village is across the street and Beaver Creek is minutes away. Really, its easy to drive to Park Place 16 but I cant bring myself to go there anymore. I just cringe at the thought of sitting through a movie in such a decrepit and disgusting place. I feel Im at risk of getting scurvy, or worse yet- rickets. How hard can it be to clean this place up? At what point do you become so apathetic that you just dont really care anymore? That is this theatres problem- they just stopped caring.

The ideal movie theatre to help balance out the expensive prices should be 1. Clean 2. Comfortable 3. Staff should be super friendly ... Park Place Report Card 1. Clean - A+ ... def. clean ... floors, etc. 2. Comfortable - A+ ... I was able to kick my feet up and enjoy the movie so all good there ... 3. Staff ... D- ... complete fail here ... the ticket counter attendant was like whatever ... the snack counter folks were simply order takers (but I guess thats what they are though) ... and the other two "managers" that I saw walking around didnt even speak, or tell me to enjoy my movie or anything ... honestly, it felts as if the guys and gals here were mad because there were not working at the bigger, nicer, theatre across the street ... Hmmm, not a good showing ... no pun intended! ;-)

Absolutely disgusting! We opened the theater door to be welcomed by a wave of hot and humid air. We sat in out seats and noticed they were literally damp from the humidity. On top of this, the place wreaked of feet. We went last week at a late show (past 10pm) and you could tell that the place was not cleaned......soda cups, popcorn, napkins all over the floor. A bit of warning....if you are going to buy food at the snack stands, hold your breath and dont eat anything until you pass the restroom. Why?.....they wreak of a broken sewer line. Will I go back? Yes, only because it is the most convenient place around. Will I be happy....NOPE. I cant wait for the new theater to open up!

I saw the movie The Case for Christ yesterday in this theater and the person who checked me out was very friendly and professional. He really enjoys what he does and said have a nice night when I left. I removed 1 star because parking can get hectic in busy times and prices are high on weekends. They offer student discount outside matinee hours. It seems not as many people go to the theater these days to watch a movie and use Netflix or Amazon Prime from their Smart TV. In closing nice place to catch a movie on your own or with a friend. Can make some improvements but I am mostly satisfied with this theater. Will be coming back.

I am not sure what was going on with some of the negative reviews of this place but we went there last weekend to see Gravity The Movie and we found the place to be very well run, staffed and just about a modern a place as you could wish for. The seating was Stadium-Style where each row of seats is higher than the one in front and the seats themselves were those kinds that sort of rock back and forth that have cupholders. Just in general a completely modern theater and the sound/picture quality was as good as any of the brand new theaters we have visited here in the Raleigh area.

This movie theater was the worst. I waited over 20 minutes in line for concessions. I had pre purchased my tickets on fandango and as instructed took my phone to ticket taker and he said you need to go to concessions to print your tickets. I showed him it says to show ticket taker but he says they like paper. I had to wait another 20 minutes to print tickets and by then was late for movie. In movie there were kids running up and down the aisles through seats. I know you cant help lack of parenting for guests. The theater smelled horrible! I will never go back!!

Smells in bathroom, sound system failed during two movies that I went to. If the movie is not playing at the Stone Theater it is worth the drive to Beaver Creek Commons in Apex, Cross Roads in Cary or the movie theater in Brier Creek. This theater needs to be completely renovated but AMC is to cheap to do so, this use to be Carmike Cinemas and they were to cheap to renovate also. I will never return until updated properly. No stars is the appropriate rating one is to good for this nasty place. I will drive to watch Annabelle Creation some where else.

There was some event going on, and the place was completely full. We had to give our tickets to the concession stand. The signs for which theater to go to werent updating, so we had to go in and ask what movie was about to start. The screen was blank until 10 minutes after the movie was supposed to start, and then skipped to it. Everything was chaos because of the massive group. The popcorn was pretty good though, the room was nice and big, and the picture/sound was great. Not a very good first experience. Honestly, I doubt I will go again.
