The owners of Baylor Beach Park made disabled guest sit outside gate in the heat in their car. We arrived after 5pm to take our kids for a swim (ages 4, 7 and 9). The cost was going to be $30 for about an hour! I explained that I am disabled and just wanted to watch, but they got angry and said I could not. We begged and pleaded with the lady, (she said she was one of the owners), to allow me to watch without paying for swimming, but she went into a tirade about how this was their livelihood and how hard she works. She made me sit outside the gate in the 100 degree car. In addition, our boy just turned 4, but no leniency was given to us... full day adult rate for him, too! She even ran out into the "temporary parking area" to scream, hes not 3, no way hes 3 years old. We were treated so badly we searched to see if this has happened to other guests, but what we found was much worse. Many families ended up infected with very dangerous bacteria after swimming at Baylor Beach Park. One of the things the owner suggested (yelled) was why dont we try going to Clays Park or somewhere else. Well, a properly maintained pool would certainly give us some peace of mind when it comes to the childrens safety... AND... Tuscora Park Pool is only $2 and they allow guests not swimming free admission. Commons Pool in Bolivar is $4 and they also dont charge if youre not swimming. So, go somewhere else, the kids will have just as much fun, they will be safer and youll save enough money to take them to dinner, too!

If you are from the area or another state, you will not be disappointed with this place for a fun family day, weekend or week. Family own for many many years and they take pride in caring for their place. Very family friendly, so if you are looking for a place to drink alcohol and party it up, this place is not for you. They do not allow alcohol or foul language. Price is $7/person. They have tons of activities such as swimming, minigolf, paddle boats, sand volleyball, affordable concessions with great food, etc. Port-o-pots are the cleanest I have ever seen and the same goes for their main showers and restrooms. Picnic tables are scattered throughout with grills available for use as well as pavilion areas. There are camper sites with electric hook up, but unfortunately tent camp has been cut out due to people not being able to follow the rules. Pack up the car or camper and throw on your swim trunks! You are about to have a very enjoyable time.

Went with the family this past Sunday and was not sure what to expect. This place was great! Great lake with a small "beach" around it for the kids to play in. There were plenty of fun things in the water to play on such as slides and such. There was a playground as well. The kids really liked the "mining" water table feature. You can buy a bag of dirt that has various gems and fossils. That was probably the only thing I thought was kind of pricey. Everything else was very reasonably priced. In fact I wish I would have known the prices before I spent the effort of packing a cooler and bringing our own food. We could have eaten at the food stand for cheaper than my grocery bill! We also rented the paddle boats and tried that for a while and the kids enjoyed that. Overall a great experience other than the weather which was overcast and super windy. But we will definitely be back! Thanks,

Great family get away. We have our reunion here every year. Its clean well designed kids have a blast. Life guards always on duty and well trained. Paddle boats are a great touch. You can camp out cook out play relax. Great spot for younger kiddies to play in water with slides and shallow water. Two diving boards for advance swimmers. A roll barrel that a group of kids can run on as it rolls in water. If they fall off will land safely in water. Lots of life vests supplied. Pavilions located all over and swings. All and all wonderfully managed and everything it close together with the supply of a snack bar. Each year gets better and better. Its a must see establishment!!!

Ive been going to Baylor Beach since I was a kid, now I get to watch my nieces enjoy the very same tube roll that gave me hours of enjoyment growing up! All the attractions are in perfect working order, the concession stand is very reasonably priced, you can bring your own food if you want, the restrooms/changing rooms are always well kept & the lifeguards are firm but friendly. The reminder on every safety break that alcohol/harsh language are not tolerated is a testament to this family friendly establishment. This is truly one of Ohios most hidden & amazing gems!!

Better than Clays Park for smaller kids because you dont need a life jacket. The entire place (excepting a small diving area) is 5 or under. Pretty cheap too. Its in good condition, the water isnt gross, the gravel/sand is like free exfoliation for your feet (seriously, bring sandals/water shoes if youre going to be chasing and carrying kids all day). Overall just a nicer experience than Clays Park. Would definitely go back.

My sister in law came with her husband from NY to visit to Ohio ,I search online for places to go swimming and found this place an hour away from us, the experience was so good they are planing to come and celebrate their grandkids birthday here next year.....Very quiet and relaxing place to enjoy swimming, grilling, and stay away from city life for one day,,,,Nice place to spend with your kids.

We had 3 cars of people and accidntly miss counted a kid and a worker followed us to our cars and demanded us to pay the $7. We made a honest mistake and he was rude. He could have been polite about it. Never going back here again .. He could have came up and told us nicely instead of you guys didnt pay the full fee and you owe us $7 for a kid in this car.

We went here for the first time and will be back. Very nice clean and well kept. There would be no problem spending an entire day here with plenty to do and not hard on the wallet. Plenty of room to lay out blanket or beach towels and enjoy a warm summer day. Best of all the grandkids completely wore themselves out, made for a quiet evening!

Great family funny. Big swim area with slides for all ages and driving boards for more experienced swimmers. They have water bikes and kayaks to rent on another pond. Multiple pavilions with tables for pinics. They have camp grounds with electric and an area for tents in a wooded glen. Very pretty setting and lots of fun to go to.

There was something for all ages of kids and adults to do. Theres a large water area for little kids as well as a playground and swings, and a log roll, slide and diving area for older people. Lots of space for everyone to spread out, it didnt feel crowded even though there were a lot of people there. Definitely worth going.
