I paid a hefty price for lawn seats and scoured the venues website before the show to see if there were any restrictions on bringing chairs. The website never listed camping chairs as being prohibited, but when we got to the gate with our chairs in hand, we were told we could not bring them in. The "lawn" was tiny, and while we squeezed into a spot on the soaked ground, there were hundreds left standing for the entire show. Obviously the show was oversold and it was dangerously overcrowded. After the show, when I went to retrieve my chairs, they were gone. I will never go to another show at this venue and will never recommend anyone else go to a show at this venue. It is not worth the amount of money I paid.

Incredible small outdoor live music venue...mostly collecting dust. Extremely sad that ownership/managements ability to consistently book top tier local, regional, national musical talent is questionable at best. Charlotte a fairly cosmopolitan city, this place should have a packed outdoor schedule May through October with multiple shows weekly...take a lesson from Innsbrook After Hours in Richmond, VA a tiny joint with dozens of top tier national acts multiple times per week for $35 to $100. BTW, your beer prices are anti-customer absurd, reflect poorly on ownership and will drive people away. For the love of God, hire a good manager that knows music and knows how to fill this place or sell it to someone who can.

I ordered a cheeseburger for $8.50. Worst cheeseburger EVER! Burger was a third the size of my stale bun. Who the hell would pay $8.50 for a burger that awful and why the hell are your prices so high? We have an Amphitheater in Simpsonville and they pull local vendors in and the the food is half the price and ten times as good. Also. How do you get away with charging $12.50 and $16.00 for a 24 oz beer?! Are you crazy?! Again we have an Amphitheater that only charges $6.00. Why is your food overpriced and so damn awful? If your gonna charge that much at least make the food decent. I may never come back and heard other people saying the same thing as me. What a ripoff. You should be ashamed of yourselves

We visited this amphitheater in July. Compared to Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh (which we frequent) the Charlotte Amphitheater is very tiny and the concessions are overpriced - $16 for a 16 ox craft beer! Wow! Staff did virtually nothing to enforce the smoking restrictions so it was like watching the entire concert in an ashtray. The staff also had a slow and difficult time loading the audience in, despite this being a fairly small venue. All things considered, I would not travel from Raleigh to Charlotte for a concert at this venue again. If it were local to me I would give it another chance for the right band.

Pretty good spot for outdoor shows. Guidelines on bringing your own chairs (for the lawn area) seem to vary. Usually youre allowed to bring low-profile (close to the ground) beach chairs, but on occasion theyve restricted all chairs. Concession prices are astronomical ($16 for a 24-ounce craft beer). Depending on the performance, even the lawn area can fill up forcing you to utilize standing-room-only space near the dumpsters, which doesnt offer the best scents. Bathrooms always promise to be decorated with vomit (isnt this a requirement for all concert venues?)

Its a good place to see a show as long as you either bought a seat or the show isnt too crowded, because they do tend to oversell the tickets for the lawn. Last show I attended there was absolutely no standing room left on the lawn, so I watched the show standing over on the asphalt by the bathrooms and the concession area..... Well, listened, I couldnt see anything really. Prices for food and drinks are pretty crazy. $13 for a plain hamburger is standard there.

Worst place I have every been. I paid premium for VIP seats, what a joke. Uncovered, ten feet from the lawn tickets. started to rain, had to stand in line to buy $5 cleaner bag to wear. No side monitors so what ever your view is thats it. The joke is on me I should have done my homework. Paying to see a performance there is like paying to sit in your back yard, Absolutely a horrible place to see anything. You have been warned STAY AWAY FROM UPTOWN AMPHITHEATER !

Do NOT buy tickets through their website. I just bought 2 lawn tickets for Primus/Clutch for $27.50 a piece for a grand total of....wait for it.... $161.50. I called to get a refund and was conveniently told that "all sales are final". I spoke to Gerard at costumer service the first time and Ariel at costumer service the second time. Im sure theyre just doing their job by telling me all sales are final.

Terrible venue. Extremely overpriced food, utterly terrible service. Constant requests to see your tickets. On my way to and from the concessions area I was stopped three times for ticket checks, once even after just passing people who checked my ticket. Will never attend an event here again.

There is no leaving the grounds once you enter, which seems a little ridiculous since everyone is subject to purse search and metal detectors. Also, concessions are outrageous!!! $5 bottle water & $14.50 for beer, $30 liter wine, just to name a few. Otherwise, nice venue.

Love going to concerts at this venue! Its the perfect location for summer music. Lawn seats or real seats, theres a great view for everyone. If youre on the lawn, get there when the doors open so you dont end up in the center behind all the sound gear.

Big venue with a small venue feel. Every seat in the house is a great seat. If you dont order your tickets early enough to get seats, you can come early, crowd the stage right rail, and have a better spot than anyone sitting down. Great place!

Nice outdoor venue. We saw Paul Simon and it was very impressive how they got a train to sing along with us during Sound of Silence. The lawn was very crowded and many people had to stand. Next time we will either get seats or arrive earlier.

Ive enjoyed many concerts at this venue. Its changed names but the sound, food and vices area still very good. They were thoughtful when they designed the seating arrangement and the lawn development, both offer a great view on the stage.

This amphitheater isnt all that big. Directions to parking werent very clear if you havent been here before. The concert we went to was way oversold there were tons of people that wouldnt fit on the grass and had to stand off to the side.

Amazing place to see a show! Not a bad seat anywhere, but I would recommend the lawn where you can spread out a blanket and have plenty of room to dance. Lots to do in walking distance and easy to find a cab or uber. Highly recommend.

Ok, good venue for close shows, but, they took out chairs because they were "too tall" but let people in with the same charis, then they charged us out the butt for drinks and food that sucked. Had a good show otherwise.

Great setup for an outdoor concert with easy access to food, restrooms, and beer. Not a fan of parking over here. If someone isnt directing traffic youll be caught in a traffic jam forever. But the venue is very nice.
