My wife and I visited the Jazz Corner on a Wednesday night. Before we were allowed to enter, a woman standing at the door informed us that we had to pay a fee of $5 per person to listen to the music and eat dinner. Because it seemed like such an awesome atmosphere that was both intimate and sophisticated, we quickly agreed to pay the charges. We were seated at a small table close to the stage and given dinner menus to select from. In reviewing the limited food options on the menu, we were shocked at the prices. When our food came, it was good but overpriced. At the end of the meal, the server brought our check out and we gave her our credit card to run. When she returned with our receipt, she indicated she had already written in her own tip on our receipt and all we had to do was sign! While we enjoyed the music and atmosphere, we question this business practice of servers calculating and writing in their own tip on the customers credit card receipt. Needless to say, we will not be patronizing this establishment in the future.

The Truth

This place is a must go if you want to splurge on a nice evening out. The service and entertainment are excellent. There are different bands that play different types of jazz music throughout the week, so you can choose what style of jazz best suits you. Whatever you choose, it will be a good time. The food and drinks are outstanding. We had mojitos to drink, and they were mixed perfectly. We started with the Asian spring rolls, and they are the best spring rolls Ive ever had (and Ive had some good ones). For dinner my wife had the black bean cakes (amazing flavor), and I had the wagyu burger (simply delicious ). Do not hesitate to give this place a try.

My daughter and I visited Hilton Head for the week-end and discovered the Jazz Corner! We were touring most of the day so we just wanted to pop in and out to get a general feel for future visits but to our delight we ended up staying! The live jazz music, food and atmosphere was remarkable and exceeded our expectations! I wish that I would have written down the hostesses name, but she was an absolute delight and reassured us that our shorts were fine! Our waiter was also great! This is a must experience while in Hilton Head! Be sure to check to see if youll need reservations...we were lucky!

Made a reservation for two for dinner and we were seated at a cocktail table. Had we been there for drinks and the show only, it might have been fine. You couldnt even fit the menu on the table and they actually expected two people to eat there comfortably. When we arrived, the excuse was they had some large parties come in...not my concern, I made a reservation. If they didnt have the seating available, they shouldnt make the reservation. The hostess actually had the nerve to tell me the table was for two when we left...ruined what started as a wonderful night...

Excellent food. It is Restaurant week on HHI so they had a special Prix Fixe menu for $25. Entertainment by the Martin Lesch combo was totally awesome. The horn player and drummer blew me away. Did all kinds of jazz from contemporary to calypso. It was my birthday and the pianist mentioned my name and did a song especially for me. This place is a joy. Highly recommended. Wonderful experience. Must make reservations well in advance as they book up solid every night. Go on a Monday night and hear this wonderful combo. 5 Stars!

My wife and I had dinner here last night. The Jazz Corner is a MUST for us when we are on HHI. Food was terriffic, as always. The music was even better. We had heard the same musicians before; but that doesnt matter as we would be happy to hear them again. The atmosphere is extremely cozy as would be typical for this type of club. Expect small tables - again TYPICAL. Prices are a bit high; but, the food & music are well worth it. If your budget is tight, make this your one special night. If you dont love jazz, dont go.

Bad experience: noisy, small crowded place, music is loud, singing and music below average, food quality below average no where near the expensive prices. More starch, vey little meat, vegtables under cooked...oh terrible. They charge music admission fee in addition to already expensivve wine and food menu. We paid $130 for 2 people without coffee and desert for just 2 meals and one shared glass of wine. This was our first and last time going there. Short sighted management; they quickly lost our busineess.

My wife and I went to The Jazz Corner while on vacation July 11th. It was our first time to any jazz club. What a great time. The entertainment was just wonderful. The service was fantastic and the food was awesome. The owner even came by to ask us if we were enjoying ourselves. We will come back here on our next trip to Hilton Head. This is a great place to relax, be entertained and have a great meal. I highly recommend The Jazz Corner!

The Jazz Corner is the jem of Hilton Head Island. We have been listening to the music for ten years. It is a must for music lovers of all ages. The environment is conducive to enjoying jazz. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. You can come in and enjoy the music with no cover charge. You can also choose to not have dinner and just have drinks. Great evening. Stop in and see Bob and Lois. They do so much to support music.

Went on a Wednesday night with my husband and we LOVED IT! The Earl Williams Blues Quartet was playing. GREAT MUSIC and we laughed a lot! Bartender and servers were very nice. Food was delicious. Best Creme Brulee I ever had! We sat at the bar and ended up with the best view in the room! Only down side: It is very small... so you have to plan far in advance if you want to go. But it is worth it!!

Deaz Guyz are the best group you will ever listen to. GREAT MUSIC. Great atmosphere, but too pricey. The servers have a bad attitude, like they are doing you a favor just to wait on you. The owners could hire servers with the right attitude. However, you will never hear a better group than Deaz Guyz and the night will be something you wont forget, if you can afford it.

Third time to Hilton Head celebrating our anniversary and finally went. Our waiter, Jamie, was the best EVER. He was very familiar with the menu, great personality, and just great! My husband made the reservation, we received complimentary champagne and chocolate dessert! The food, music, and staff were amazing. Definitely a must do when coming to Hilton Head.
