Our team traveled 1350 miles to go to the cocoa expo SportsCenter. I am not sure where these people went that are talking all these negative comments but our experience was phenomenal. We have been to many venues over the years and they are always complicated with many delays, poor fields, waiting constantly, bad hotels, long bus rides from field to field and crowded bad restaurants. There was some scheduling problems because several teams did not show. But welcome to big event baseball. After that we didnt have any problems. Apparently these people that are complaining must be parents. The staff at the expo told us they do not deal with parents they only deal with coaches. As a head coach I instructed our parents to not attempt to contact management at the complex. We had no problems. The place was amazing everything is brand-new. The dorms are brand-new and we had large team rooms that sleep up to 20 players. But they only do 10+ players for high school and college. We had four rooms with 12 players in each room. The beds are bunk bed style but a reasonably comfortable. The boys had lots of room for all their stuff. The building is brand-new its very nice porcelain tile and marble countertops. We have never seen this type of decour at the sports complex. The pictures are nice that are shown on their website but until you see it in person you cannot get the full affect. They have a huge training center with over 100 workstations with weights and pitcher bungees. It also has 14 indoor batting cages with 7 of the video simulated cages. We had full access to all the equipment. You could attend this place and have rain every single day and still get a good spring training workout for your team every day. Clearly these people that are talking so negative failed to use the facility as provided or didnt attend the same place that we did. We got more out of this trip then any trip that Ive taken in the 18 years of tournament and spring training travel. We ended up playing eight games, had nine practices and 12 workouts in the cages and the weight room in the 10 days that we stayed. No place that we know of offers this much baseball workout activity for any amount of money. Part of what made it special was that everything is brand new nice and clean. We ended up spending about the same as we do normally but as a head coach it was great for me because I had to do nothing but coach baseball I didnt have to worry about any logistics. I always bring extra money in case we spend more in different areas this time I spent no extra so we had money left over to go to the theme park. My team loved it, the parents loved it and we will be back.

I hate to give these scam artists a star. If possible negative 5 stars. They should be in jail for internet fraud. Teams never got schedules, food was frozen and prepackaged, not sure what gourmet chef makes tater tots. Stew and vegetable lasagna every kid wants that, great idea. Rooms were nothing like they said, coaches did not have their own rooms, Some coaches from different teams had to bunk up. We didnt have enough beds for the kids, sheets were torn, doors did not lock, no pillows, AC didnt work, TVs missing remotes, rooms were not cleaned, Bunk beds were unsafe, we had a kid fall while sleeping. One door didnt even have a door knob. Their staff walked in without knocking. Bathrooms were a mess, toilets clogged and they were never cleaned properly, saw the same underwear on the floor for 3 days. Not sure why the security staff had to carry firearms seemed a bit much. Think they had more bullets than teeth.(sorry that was mean). Management didnt return calls, schedule changed all the time. Umpires did not show up. They overbooked the facility, I made them put us in a Holiday Inn Express on day 2, far better experience. These people really should be in prison. FRAUD,FRAUD,FRAUD!!!! Do not waste your time or efforts on this place. It will not be open after this year. It got so bad that the gunslinging security guards became photographers and concession stand workers because people were quitting because they got tired of being yelled at by dissatisfied customers. There was a girls team from Columbus, Ohio that came down to play and did not have any teams. They were the only girls team onsite. This is not a place for girls to be by the way. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!! 100% scam.

I will start off by saying that the facility is very nice however, the tournament was very unorganized. We drove up from Miami for a tournament here and unfortunately it rained on Saturday. They ended up canceling the remaining games due to the rain around 3pm. This is a big facility with lights, why did they not advise all coaches to be on stand by and have the kids come out and play that night after the rain and continue the tournament from there?? NO........What they decided to do was make everyone play on Sunday for 1 hour each game and call it "turbo style". It did not matter who was home or visitor, once the hour was up the game was over. The semi finals were also the same. You cannot run a tournament with only 1 hour games and expect to get the best out of any team. I am not saying this as a parent whose team did not get far because we made it to the semi-finals. The team we played right before the semi-finals could have ended up winning if it was not for the 1 hour time frame. We were up 5-2 and the other team was on base with bases loaded and no outs and the blue called time. I just want to make clear that I am not writing this just for our team. I am complaining for all players that were involved in this tournament. Everyone paid to play here and there were many disappointed kids and parents. If anyone decides to do this tournament please make sure the weather looks good. If not your going to be screwed on playing time. Or confirm on their rain out rules. This was a terrible tournament!!!!!

For people to take the time to write a review and say that this place "sucks" CLEARLY has not taken advantage of all of the facilities. The food was delicious, the beds werent terrible and I dont remember my sheets looking like they were torn or used, but perhaps I just got lucky? This is the most pristine facility I have encountered yet. Marble counters, porcelain tiles etc. They had video simulated batting cages, and offered great workouts/training. All the equipment and the whole complex is very up to date and new, making my experience even better. The staff was VERY nice. Yes the security are carrying guns in case a problem or situation were to occur theyre prepared. Who wants to be in a place that isnt prepared for the worst. Lets not exaggerate the fact that someone is carrying a gun for safety purposes, not to end someones life. Possibly from a narrow minded person. Looks to me like a team had a bad experience and are taking turns leaving a bad review. There were minor issues but easily fixable, due to the fact that the facility is still new. wiggle room and space to grow! Coco Expo was probably the best experience that I have had at a sports complex! I would definitely recommend it to my friends! I am definitely going back.
