As a frequent patron of your theater, I am extremely disappointed that you are not showing the film The Promise. You always seem to bring other holocaust/genocide movies as part of an educational experience to your loyal audience but yet this time it seems there is no effort being made to show one of the most horrific events in the history of not only the Armenian people but of mankind. I hope that you will reconsider this decision.
Attended this theater in Pleasantville Ny, to view " Moonlight" - The establishment is made up of about 4 theaters . They specialize in foreign & independent films, which is great if you want to view and support independent and upcoming film makers. Great experience, staff were helpful and friendly. Theater was antiquated but i loved it nonetheless!
A fun place to watch arty films with like-minded cinema buffs (if you consider yourself one). The building is beautifully designed and the theaters are plush, comfortable, modern and clean. Excellent selection/curation of films (both old and new) and friendly staff. Slightly pricey but worth it to support this unique nonprofit theater.
One cant say enough good things about this place. its choice of movies is just amazing. The only down side is trying to get in some of its presentation. Can at times be sold out. But what else can you expect when the place is soooo good. Just buy your ticket in advance and come early for a good seat...
Its not just a movie theatre. Its a local film community. Great selection of indie films and special events, like movies about music, that include concerts and talks. I added a pic of a reception after one of these.
Love "the Burns" as it is affectionately called. However, very upset that the Richard Gere film, Meet the Patels and Breathe were only there for a week. Can they be brought back for slightly longer runs????
Have been members for about five years. Terrific variety of films, unique and first runs. Many that do not show at large theater chains. Comfortable, intelligent audiences, never a hassle.
Great local theatre, saw "A Man Called Ove" which was an exceptional film. A must see. Even if youre not a far of foreign, independent films, go check it out, you wont be disappointed!

The JBFC is the equal of or surpasses the best art film centers in New York City. It is a haven for film lovers that is responsive to its membership. My favorite theater for film.
Excellent movie selection, clean and comfy seats. The only downside is that the theaters are really really small. You have to come early to secure a reasonable sightline.
I loved this place because the features is amazing i am going to see the movie that i made with the people who work there on Wednesday it will be awesome
One of our local National Treasures. Top rate international films. Can always count on whatever is playing to be inspirational and thought provoking.
Wonderful theater plus it offers classes, events, and childrens activities. Jacob burns always shows films that you cant find anywhere else
A wonderful theater. Wish there were more places like this. Of course, dont expect to see the latest blockbusters here. Very friendly staff.
Go at off peak times and get there early or you could be sitting too close to the screen. Also, some of the clientele can be a bit chatty.

A real asset to the community. The theater shows movie of interest and the educational programming of this non-profit are excellent.
Great art film house. Nice atmosphere--homey and very attune to customers film experience. Interesting and engaging film programs.
Cute little community theater with a unique selection of films. They offer student and senior discounts every day of the week.
JBFC shows high quality films, often not available elsewhere in the region. They also run wonderful programs for kids.

Great place to see first run and art house films. They often have directors and filmmakers do talkbacks.

Feel so fortunate to have this independent theater nearby. Wonderful offerings in a comfortable setting.
Best place in the world to see new and old, independent and foreign, films. And thats no exaggeration.
The website doesnt have a place for members to buy tickets on its main ticket-purchasing page. Why not?
Very cute theatre. I love to watch the classics there and grab dessert right across the street.
very helpful staff. small theatre but skips most of the annoying previews. clean and nice seats.
Great art house films. Always rotating. Beautiful theaters and great post film discussions.
Amazing independent and studio films. Conversations with leading actors and filmmakers.
Good films. Dont assume that a film wont sell out on a sunny Sat, early afternoon.
Great films, great theater seats... Nice community support for unique films.
I dont get a chance to make it up often but when I do Im always glad I did.
