Ive always had a great time here, and my kids have as well. On our most recent visit, the kids were able to pick out their own (tiny) pumpkins for free (included with admission). You are able to buy food to feed the animals in 3 different sizes, but found the medium size was plenty. Costs are reasonable for what you get here and kids under 2 are free. As others have mentioned the bathroom situation is not great. There are plenty of "Porta potties" on site, but you cant really change a diaper or take multiple kids into a porta potty (one parent with multiple young kids). There is supposedly a regular full bathroom in the main entry building, but Ive never used it. The leesburg animal park is half zoo, and half kids play ground. There are multiple pieces of kid friendly equipment to play on, like a large wooden pirate ship, wooden train, typical playground equipment and a large hay cart all with slides. Additionally there are bouncy houses, kid sized play houses, and a hill slide. The animals are very friendly and appear to be in good health. There are goats, sheep, donkeys and more for the kids to feed. They also have a reptile show and pony rides. The shows are free, but the pony ride does require buying a ticket. Ill be sure to add pictures in the future.

I love Leesburg Animal Park! Its always very clean and the animals are all very well taken care of. All the staff that I have meet are all friendly and well informed about their animals. This place has come a long way over the years and every year it gets better and better. They have a brand new entrance building with a massive indoor play structure and an arts and crafts room for the kids, and a bunch of exotic animal exhibits inside including a sloth and lemurs. There is also a very nice theater room where the animal keepers do scheduled educational talks and encounters with the animals for free. Outside Leesburg animal park has a nice open feeling and it kept clean by the staff. They have pony rides every day and camel rides on the weekends for a few dollars. They have several exotic animal exhibits and many domestic animals, which you can pet and feed. This may be a small place, but it feels very big and quiet. Leesburg animal park is a great place for families and I would highly recommend it.

It was fun.... Took my two year old and my 11 year old... Dad feed the bigger animals we just feed the babies... Everyone had fun.... Have to watch ur little ones in the pen bc the bigger goat kept tryna tryna my little ones bag of food but dad had a bag and he kept the big one closer to the fence so we could pet and feed the smaller one. I worked out! Not sure why someone said no bathroom... They have an indoor facility and it was clean... We stayed about 3 hrs but we got hungry and who wants to pet animals then eat then pet animals again.... We cleaned up very good then went home.... I would advise u feed the kids first! Or get very good soap of ur planning to go eat afterwards. And I didnt see a horse just a pony that the girls took a ride on... No bites (we went a few months ago) planning to go back in the next couple of weeks

We just came from the Leesburg Animal Park for the first time...and disliked it immensely. I"m surprised at the positive ratings to be honest. It was expensive (as far as petting zoos go), there were not enough hand washing stations, little to no shade. Also, and for us most importantly, most of the animals were kept in small pens. except for the "interaction zone." Also, except for the turtle (for which the guy just kept letting all these kids climb all over), there were no staff around - to the point where several goats escaped out of the petting zoo area and no-one seemed to even notice. There seemed to be no limitation to how much food the animals received and they were VERY aggressive to get it. We have just been to much nicer petting zoos by far and DO NOT recommend Leesburg in the slightest.

I will NEVER go back here - beware of horses that bite!! I was bit by a horse in the contact area - the designated area where kids/adults can walk among the animals and feed them - I was bit on the shoulder where I had just been holding my daughter and after I put her down and stood back up - wham! I have two huge welts...what if that had been my daughter or anyones child? When I complained to the front desk, they told me oh thats Blue - sometimes he does that!!!! How is that an acceptable answer to an animal that is allowed around children???? There are not even signs warning you that this is a possibility...Will never be back!

I am always skeptical about these small private zoos. It seems like a year doesnt go by that you dont hear about one of these getting shut down for animal abuse or dangerous exhibits. But this one has been pretty clean, welcoming, and seems (to me) to be very well run. They have some goats and pigs, pony rides, the usually petting zoo stuff. And then they also have some lemurs, small monkeys, cappibara. It is nice to walk around with the kids when it is nice out, and there are some small animals, playground, and an hourly show indoors if it rains. Price is acceptable, 20-30 dollars for the family (4).

I came here to a friend of my childs birthday party. My expectations were low. This place surprised me. They had food you could purchase to feed the animals, there is a jungle gym for the kids to play with thats indoors and air conditioned. They have petting areas and various places to play outside. This place is very accessible off the road in Leesburg with unpaved parking. They are very conscientious about clean hands and the staff are very helpful. I definitely recommend this place if you want to keep the little ones entertained with ponies, birds, goats, reptiles, and donkeys.

Had very low expectations when I planned this visit -- I was expected a the kids to see a couple of goats and call it a day. Counter to my expectations, there is a lot to do here. There are indoor and outdoor play areas, "special" events where someone tells the kids about a particular animal more in-depth, and a snack shop. The bathrooms are in the main lobby building and are shockingly nice. The only thing to be aware of is that although they sell snacks, they do not offer anything meal like (no pizza by the slice or hot-dog style options)

I took my 3 and 4 year olds here yesterday for the first time. I was so impressed with the facilities and the kids had a blast feeding all the animals. The indoor playground was perfect for them and they really enjoyed the creative arts/craft room. The animals in the Contact Area were a little aggressive toward the cups of food, which scared the kids, so I would recommend using caution if entering with smaller children. Great experience and well definitely be going back!

My husband and I took our 3 year old grandson to the zoo last Sunday, and chose LAP for a change from the Reston Zoo that is closer to us. We were extremely disappointed. The grounds were filthy with poop everywhere. PLEASE WEAR BOOTS IF YOU GO. The petting animals were dirty and not groomed. They are no bathroom facilities except for portable ones. The thing that saved the day was the Great Zucchini show..the kids loved it.
