Ticket man I love going to see movies! However, each and every time I have visited the location in Rio Grande, the ticket man has succeeded in ruining my fun! Example 1) An older man, probably in his 60s attempted to use a gift card that was given to him by a family member. I listened to each of these exchanges. Ticket man: "This gift card is expired!" Customer: "Oh, it is?! Where is the expiration date?" Ticket man: "Sir, it is expired. I dont know what else to tell you!" Example 2) Customer: "Sorry, haha. We havent decided yet" Ticket man: "Please step aside so the person behind you can go." Example 3) Military interaction Customer: "I am Coast Guard, can I get the military rate?" Ticket man: "Only 1 per ID card, not your friends." Customer: "Ill just pay full price, thanks anyway." ^^^ Who treats service members that way?! They dont ask for praise or need it but at least pretend that you respect them! Many of them are actually and willfully fighting and dying for our country" Example 4) My interaction at a movie by myself Me: "Can I have 1 ticket for The Gallows?" Ticket man: "Here, Thank you." Me: "Excuse me?" Ticket man: "What?" Me: "I have been coming here for 3 years and I have watched you act incredibly rude to every single customer you talk to!" Ticket man: "Im just straight to the point" Me: "Its not being straight to the point, it is literally being rude. Who do you work for?" Ticket man: I work for Frank Theaters" Me: "No, WHO, do you work for?" Ticket man: (unspecified name) After I spoke with the manager (not the GM who wasnt there at the time), the manager responded, "yeah, hes been here forever....its just the way he is!" After I left, I watched the ticket man run outside to see if I have left. When he didnt see me, he sprinted inside to talk to the manager. Not sure what lies that he spoke but I was absolutely disgusted! Man in his 40s or early 50s with dark hair. Unfortunately, this is the only theater close to Cape May & Rio Grande in reasonable distance. I will continue to see movies here because I refuse to be chased away but I ask everyone not to allow someone to speak with you this way. This man has embarrassed me on dates, with friends and family. Ive had it!

Tonight I saw this most obnoxious woman yelling at an employee about the exit operation (sold out 715 Oz) and just had to say something as she was just the worst kind of trash I have ever seen. And since she threatened to write a review all over the internet I figured I would too. I am a frequent patron of this movie theatre (2 times a week in the summer and occasionally in the winter when in town). I find the complaints I just read to be hysterical. The theatre is extremely busy but small. The only complaint I have is just that. It is often sold out! The halls are narrow and once when I was there we were ushered out the front of a theatre for Dark Knight Rises. I did question the manager about this practice and he patiently explained that they do this because the already have a line of people waiting to get into the next show. Well I guess I felt like the dummy because it is very hard to try to get out of the place with a pile of people waiting to get in. Once I was explained this I understood why this is necessary. Since they do have two bathrooms it really is not a big deal to do what they asked to go right back into the front lobby. It is the same number of steps either way. I also find the staff to be particularly pleasant. I have noticed the same faces after several years of patronage so they must be doing something correct. The people at the candy stand are great and they always get me for that extra dollar for the next size up. I spend all winter near your typical Regal Cinema in PA and they do not even come close to measuring up. My family and I will be happy to keep going to this theatre. Oh and honestly, I would have punched the woman in the face if I were this employee. She just kept pushing and pushing him but he kept smiling. I guess that is why she was so mad. Walk the 3 extra steps you cow.

After viewing a movie at Frank’s theaters in Rio Grande, the staff placed a trash can in the hallway of the theater prohibiting customers from reentering the main building. Instead the customers were instructed to exit through the fire exit in to the icy below freezing weather, which would be fine except some of the customers had to use the facilities before their departure. When the staff was asked if we could use the facilities they still insisted that we go outside and walk around to the front of the building to use the front entrance. These expectations are ridiculous! Even when expressing our concerns to the manager there was no change in attitude and in fact the manager made it apparent that he did not care if we were ever patrons again. When paying the high costs the theater charges I assume that I would be able reasonably utilize the facilities without trekking outside to do so. This is a theater that does not deserve my patronage or anyone else’s and I will be going to Regal from now on.

Staff are consistently rude and lack any understanding of quality service including the manager. Popcorn has off putting taste. Movies often start late due to audio/screen problems most likely due to the incompetent staff and not faulty equipment. Screens are small and facilities are starting to age. We have resorted to driving to other theaters just to avoid Rio 12. If you enjoy reading the credits dont even waste your time coming here. They turn on the lights as soon as the movie ends and stare you down if you dont leave. Movie selection is sub par due to area demographics and seasonal business but it would be nice to get an Indie/foreign every once an a while.

I dont go to movies very often and I realize all the theaters do this but without stating my displeasure nothing will ever change. Tickets were $17 for my son and I which is a bit pricey for a noon showing but so be it. However, does anyone have an issue with paying $6 + tax for a $2 soda or $8 + tax for a $2 popcorn? I find it absurd when a soda and popcorn cost more than the movie itself. Like I said, I realize they all do it but who likes to be way over charged, I sure dont. It just keeps me away from the movies. If you dont speak up things will never change.

The manager and his staff are very polite and seem happy to do their jobs. They are always friendly, kind and accommodating. The manager apologized and seemed to actually feel horrible that the movie we went to see was sold out. He suggested we buy tickets for the following day now. He explained that it looked like there was rain in the forecast again, which would draw big crowds. Rare to see such customer service and pride in ones occupation nowadays. A pleasure!

Im currently sitting in the theater waiting for "It" by Stephen King to start.. The crowds are crazy and our stadium, with our assigned seat, people are holding seats or having a place for their popcorn. My family and I had to sneak into the 710 showing despite paying for the 650 showing. Both showings are now sold out for this movie, in minutes. Despite the jerks in the theatre..Franks is awesome on Tuesday. 1/2 price tickets and great choices!!
