This theater has been my first choice since the 1970s (when under previous management). Currently showing first-run films (as well as independent and foreign films co-sponsored with the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in its CineArt series). It is THE place to enjoy cinema in a very clean, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Ticket prices are reasonable and the refreshments are numerous and always fresh. The owners are right there as you come in the door, not some distant entities of a chain cinema enterprise, and it is obvious that they care about making your visit enjoyable.

Thank goodness for the Callicoon Theater. It saves me a 45 minute to an hour drive to see newly released movies. The prices are decent, although they tended to change a few times in the past few years. The seats are comfy, the screen is huge, and the sound is incredible. Some people worry the theater is too close to the tracks; you dont even know a train is going past. It tends to be a little chilly in the theater, so bring a cozy jacket. The bathrooms are a little cramped, that is the only bad thing to say.

Great little theater, and happy to support a good local business. The ticket price was great ($7 on a Monday night!). The seats are not bad, but not great. Theyre a very old style and on the small side, but not uncomfortable. Nothing to brag about, either. The picture and sound quality were good, though I wish theyd angle the screen down towards the seats a little bit. In the front portion of the theater you have to angle your head up too steeply, causing the screen to look squashed.

As good as it can get. A Quonset Hut movie theater (one of only 11 left in the US), big and round and comfy. Popcorn with REAL BUTTER! Only 1 screen, nice and big. Excellent digital projection better than celluloid and with super duper sound. Life is good here in the Delaware Valley Catskills.

Honestly, I like this theater for simply existing in a small charming town. I love the colors of the building and the signage looks great. Its tiny, and I believe it generally only has two showings a weekend day. Sign says its closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Saw a movie here while visiting with family. Great old timey feel to the theater, but lacks many of the mod cons of a newer theater. Only one theater so choices are limited.

Excellent customer service, reasonably priced and varied concessions in a (n) historic location. Family owned & operated. Way better than the huge multi plex.

Very affordable and comfortable old theater. Show times are on the early side, but that gives you plenty of time to grab a drink after the show.
