Well, this is not the old Viking! Goodbye to the dingy interior of yore. The owners came back from their very long fishing trip and gave this place a complete makeover. I like the art deco wood styling. Very nice. The new location is clean, well put together, and not yet destroyed by the West Banks roughage. If anything, it doesnt seem popular enough. Dont know if the U of MN arts crowd really flock here for the screen tvs, but the Carlson business school kids might... Happy hour specials are a little lacking, but who am I to complain... this was the place that specialized in dollar Hamms twenty years ago, so I guess three fifty for tall boys is kind of the same thing nowadays. Kind of.

Walked in. Sat down. Was ignored for 20 minutes. Left. Went to Triple Rock. Had a great time and spent $50. The service level here is really lacking when 3 behind the bar cant make eye contact for 20 minutes and theres only 15 or so people at the bar, 1 table on the patio and empty wall of booths. I will try again but this place wont be open in 4-6 months. Not at this pace.

The bartender Patrick was extremely disrespectful to me and my friends. When we came the first time, he handed us the wrong order. He refused the fix it, yelled at us from across the room when we were trying to figure out what happened with the order, refused to apologize and told us that we "better leave a tip". I will never come there again. He was completely out of order.

Went here with a friend for a few drinks an nachos one Thursday evening. When we showed up we were the only ones besides a bartender and one of the owners. So we all talked for a little bit, and gradually people showed up until there was a good crowd.

I wasnt there long, so take my review with a grain of salt, but its definitely cozy. No reason to give it less than a 4, but I didnt see anything making it 5 worthy either. What this place has is location, if youre on the West Bank.

Fun little bar, skinny layout, very small stage, but amazing sound for live music from a sound man that actually likes doing it. Good beer, decent pub food (though ends early IMO). Very much enjoyed my visit there, will be back.

I would drop 5 stars but their is too many tv screens and the live music line-up hasnt built itself back up yet. The drinks are killer, thus saving them from a 3 star review. ...the food is also pretty damn good.

I live a few blocks away, dig the spot, music is usually great but the bartenders couldnt care less about the patrons. The staff is the only reason I dont go there regularly and the reason I gave it 2 stars.

Service was pretty slow. And Im generally very forgiving but it was really too slow. So so beer selection but the drinks are poured strong.
