This place is severly outdated, poor picture quality, poor sound, very uncomfortable seats. I hate having to watch a great movie here. The "stadium seats" are a joke; they are small, almost completely upright, dingy, and at 61" I can barely see over them; in most screens you are looking up at screen even when sitting in the very back. In most of the theaters if not all it is difficult to see over the head of the individual in front. The staff there also dont do much to discourage teenagers from brining phones or from being disruptive; the last three times I have been (on cheap movie night) too many teens in the theater with cell phones ringing, vibrating, flashing, and kids talking on phone. The only plus is that it is much cheaper than our better theater in town; the Malco. Food is better priced and reasonable for a theater but isnt always that great. This place really needs an update.

No stadium seating. It would be a nice nostalgic throwback to the 1980s if it werent so small and dirty...and if you like sitting 30 feet below the screen. This is literally the only traditional seating theater I know of left in existence. Ive skipped over 20 films I would love to have seen because they were shown here. For whatever reason, the biggest movies get shown here whilst the better theater in town gets the leftovers. The only saving grace is that they do show some special simulcast shows such as Rifftrax, but it appears theyve stopped doing that. Get a bulldozer and start over.

Staff was courteous and theater was clean. Absolute biggest issue that gives my experience a 1 star was the seating. Stadium style seating with high backs in a none stadium style theater makes for a dated disaster which makes viewing the screen hard for most under 6 feet tall. When this theater gets good movies I will literally drive to another town to watch a movie and refuse to see any further movies here. Either update your rooms with actual elevated setups or relocate like Malco did when it faced the same issue.

It is a movie theater. Its been in Tupelo for years. As does anything it eventually ages. But they still play new movies, have most all the same amenities as newer establishments and prices are the same comparative. It is smaller than malco and dated. But if you want to see a movie and its playing there, then theres no reason you shouldnt. Its not bad its not new. Its what is calls itself, a theater. Everything youd expect from one. Ill continue to go if I want to see a movie and its playing there.

They seriously need to start from scratch and just redesign that movie house. Always feel like sitting on the floor and rows are to close together and the seats feel like they dont support you. You pay to much money for the concessions that dont taste that great to begin with. Overall, I am not very happy with the Cinemark Movies 8 theater. I would just as soon wait to see the movie at home then see a movie at Cinemark.

Been to this theater many times. I dont know why there are so many negative reviews here. It has always been decent staff is always good in my experiences. Yes the seats are not as good as newer places with stadium seating but its an older theater. Many great memories at this theater with friends and my wife and son and in the end isnt that what the movies are about.

I only go there when the movies I want to see are ONLY there and in 3d. The seats are horrible to tall for a flat floor that forces you to sit straight upright instead of reclined back while you watch your movie, they at least need to be shoulder height so you can move your neck back. They never have any movie merchandise that they show on their website at all.

Dated, small seats, not as good picture quality. Honestly, most of the time a movie isnt worth seeing here. Its movie-going experience pales in comparison to the newer Malco. Ive been to $1 discount theaters that were as nice as Cinemark... But hey, they get movies the Malco doesnt so I guess they dont have much incentive to upgrade...

their new seats were installed properly. the back legs should 2 " shorter to offer comfort instead of a forward lean. Also, the new seats are too tall for children and short folks. The popcorn is better at Malco. I go to both movie houses often. Just wanting Cinemark to step up.

The staff at Cinemark was very friendly, but the theater is very dated. If they could take one theater at a time, and replace the chairs, I would frequent there more often. The $1 dollar movies for kids are the only things I will ever go to now in the condition it is in now.

They play DCI championships during marching season and give special premiers like playing pokemon the first movie. They are cheaper than MALCO but that is with good reason. Decent customer service but they arent cool. Food is eh I get stomach aches every time I eat it

This place is clean and convenient but dated. The sound was almost loud enough you needed hearing protection. The seats are comfortable if you are a child or small adult. If you are above average size or larger you will be uncomfortable or will not fit at all.

Went and watch batman vs superman this weekend and they was 3 kids runing up and down playing and jumping over seats. The mother was in the back with a crying baby and the staff didnt say anything to them. I could not hear the movie at all. Never going back

Convienient to the mall; parking ok; bathrooms ok; air quality sucks; snack bar average to out of date; service staff "just working a job dude" attitude; seating sucks and old. They were the bomb back in the day. Overall... Find another theater.

Cheap stadium seats without the proper flooring, and the theaters are way too small. May be adequate for date movies and romantic comedies/dramas but absolutely lousy for blockbusters. Would rather drive to Malco Oxford than this place.

It is what it is, its a little cheaper than malco has discount nights, usually they have the same movies the malco is better but this one isnt that bad, go on Tuesdays its $5, small seats though dont bring a big girl.

Most of the movies I like to see show at this theatre. The seating they have now is very uncomfortable. This needs to be addressed. The staff is usually friendly, but the concession prices are far too expensive.

I wish they would get new seats they dont lean back at all. Its very uncomfortable. Everytime there is a movie there I want to see i wish it was at the malco instead. But it is cheaper but its because it sucks.

Overall average. Seats are not great, concessions are not great either. Customer service however is beyond average, they will go out of their way to meet your needs.

Fairly decent. The seats are bad and could stand to be replaced. All movie theatre pricing is a rip off so this one is no different than others in that regard.

Here for the Pretty in Pink screening and have been waiting for over 30 minutes for them to get the sound working. Really disappointing. No manager available.
