LOVE the diy butter stations & new (every flavor under the sun) drink machines! FINALLY a way to satisfy every taste without infringing on those with more traditional preferences. Now those of us who prefer sugar free beverages have the same flavor choices as regular soda drinkers. And for those people whove complained about different flavors bleeding over... ? Ive never experienced the problem myself, but you might try running some plain tonic for a few seconds to cleanse out the lines. Those machines are awesome! Its also a very nice change to be able to select the level of butter myself. Unfortunately, if I want the butter distributed evenly it must be layered so I always ask that they put a "light" amount of butter in the middle of the bucket before topping it off and theyre always pleasant and willing to accommodate me there. Now I dont have to worry about ending up with butter soup. Its perfect every time. My only complaint would be that on occasion the popcorn is over salted and slightly stale. Never had a problem getting them to replace it though so its all good! PS: For customers complaining about having to "butter it yourself".. ? Are you for real? Instead of immediately complaining about poor customer service take the time to ask them to do it for you. Not once has a single employee done anything but accommodate me cheerfully. KUDOs for both the cinema & its well trained staff. Pricings in line with all other theaters, except IMAX & 3D. Possibly because not many other theaters can offer IMAX. Movie Tickets are high because 1. Those stars need their multi million dollar salaries & 2. Theres so many thieves selling bootleg copies of these films its raising the price for those of us who DONT try to rip off the system.

went to see a movie with my mom yesterday and first of all no signs up to say we have to go inside to purchase tickets. we go inside and the kid behind the counter just stares at me so i ask him the questions - do we purchase the tickets here and the concessions as to which he replies uh uh yea. I ordered a medium popcorn, bottle water and 1 movie ticket - price comes to $28 and some change so of course i was like whoa wait how much? Turns out he charged me for 2 tickets And they were out of bottled water - 3 bins EMPTY so they were just going to give me a small cup and no money back for the bottle water! Then the kid was working out of the wrong drawer and the mgr came out and never looked me in the eye and was busy working on the drawer the kid had been working. Mgr told the kid to take the money the kid forgot to give me back initially and charge me for a soda I then asked for and said $6.06 i was like what are you serious? he was charging me for 2 sodas! Come on really! I said ok for all of the trouble here is $1 for the cup - soda doesnt cost that much and the Mgr still didnt look at me and looked at the kid and basically was to tell me they cant do that and i was like really we have been standing here for 15 minutes???. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have been there 2 times this month. The first time was a Sunday for the first showing of the day. The lobby floor was so sticky my shoes were sticking to it. Several choices for the soda vending machines were out, and the theater was not cleaned from the night prior and several seats were broken. The bathrooms were a mess and staffing was at a minimum. The second time was just last Saturday. The lobby floor, while not sticky was covered in popcorn and napkins. The soda was again missing many flavors, and the theater was once again dirty and not picked staffing was again at a minimum. The Saturday visit was during Prime Time and we saw Wonder Woman. They had it in only 2 of the theaters you could choose either Imax 3-D or regular 2-D. When this was Carmike Theaters this was a well maintained property with plenty of staff, and kept clean. For what movies cost these days it is considered a luxury or special treat to most. I will be searching for another theater for future viewing, which is a shame as I have been a patron of this establishment for many years. AMC needs to take interest on how property managers are running their business.

The theater is great, the big screens are great . It is a concessions that make or break most movie theaters, and Carmike Peoria is not even average. The coke products are great with free refills , excellent idea.( I prefer the coke products over the pepsi products serve at Willow knolls)However, the expense for the popcorn is not justified by the cheap commertial brand they serve. The popcorn at Willow knolls is the best in town with less husks and small kernels. Does the management not understand how important the quality of their product is? I am sure the cost for their popcorn stock is costing them much more than their return in ticket sales. The result of my informal poll of freinds is that most go to Willowknolls not because of cheaper prices but because the popcorn is better.

The level of service since Carmike took over from "Rave" has went downhill. The prices have continued to increase in partnership with the amount of service you do for yourself at this theater. You have to get your own drinks and top your own popcorn. Multiple times Ive been to the theater on a Thursday night for a new release and been told they are out of different concessions...Its a movie theater not a grocery store...You have two jobs....Play movies....Stock Snacks...SMH...If I wanted to pay $10 for a movie and make my own snacks Ill rent 2 movies from Family Video and watch on my big screen at home...then I can use my clean bathroom.

Seats are uncomfortable and price is crazy. I came with my brother in law to watch a movie and it cost as much for myself for a movie ticket, popcorn, and soda as it costs for my wife and I at the Pekin theater. The Rave used to be one of the nicest theaters in the Peoria area but it seems that they have let it go to waste. When you sit in the seats they feel like you are going to slide out of them because of the uncomfortable angle at which they recline. The surround sound seemed to be deafening. I by no means dont mind loud songs, but the levels at which the sound were set for the movie I saw were far above where they should have been.

Since Carmike Cinemas took over the theater, there have been a few changes. Some positive attributes include the refillable popcorn bucket, sold around $19.99 and refilled with each visit after at $4, as well as the now-refillable drinks of any size. The price of tickets has been raised, however, and the material the tickets are made of has been replaced with cheap, flimsy paper. There are also an infinite amount of commercials (not to be confused with movie trailers, mind you) before each movie. Feel free to arrive twenty minutes after the "starting time" of the film; you might just arrive when the movie trailers begin.
