Been to this place a half dozen times since its new ownership, mostly because its the closest theater to us. Always had a great experience, clean, nice theaters. But tonight we went to the opening of Star wars with my wife and 2 kids, very busy night for them. After we got into the theater my son said his stomach wasnt feeling good. Ran down the concession stand and asked a young gal for an empty popcorn bucket. She was a bit hesitant right away, I explained my son wasnt feeling good and just in case he got sick I didnt want him to puke all over the theater. She seemed empathetic but you could tell she was young and didnt want to make that decision. She asked some older dude in a pony tail and he firmly said, "NO". He went in the back and came out with a plastic walmart shopping bag. I said thank you and left. The young lady I initially asked had that look on her face like....sorry about that. Not sure who the pony tail dude was: owner, mgr, etc.. I would suggest empowering your people, regardless how young they are. Helps instill confidence and grow as young adults. I guess Im not sure if Im unhappy I didnt get a popcorn bucket for my kid to puke in or that the high school girl isnt allowed to make upper management decisions like that. Im sure I will be back since this is the closest theater to us. In the future, pony tail dude needs to take the ego down a few notches.....Its an empty popcorn bucket dude.

5 dollar movies before 6pm, relatively cheap concessions plus a wide variety of them AND Poutine!(it might not be the best Poutine out there but at least they have it and its ok, if you like Poutine check out anchor fish and chips because thats the best I have had in Minnesota) All inside an old cinemagic theater which means its got a really unique decor and aesthetic, this particular one is French theater themed. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they even have a stage for live performances. The only things holding it back from 5 stars is the seats are not the most comfortable even the reclining ones and much worse in the summer when the seats get tacky with the humidity, the theaters have different projectors so some will have obvious pixel problems and some are really crisp even with text. The only other thing holding it back from 5 stars is a real butter option for the popcorn. That all said, its worth it and its the theater I go to from now on. Its reasonable for price and if you go to a lot of movies you can get a popcorn bucket that gets you free refills for the year! This theater also has a bar and serves alcohol if that interests you. Prices as of writing are around 7 bucks after 6pm and a buck extra for 3D showings.

Ive now been here several times and love the theater. Ive never had a problem. The popcorn is great and I love the free flavors you can put on it. The recliners at the AMC closer to me are more comfortable, but the prices are almost double. Any size popcorn and soft drink are FREE REFILLS!! Awesome. I read many of the reviews on here and other sites before trying the place out and wish I could respond to a few of them (i.e., the guy who should have brought his kid home when the kid complained about having a stomach ache - while "pony tail dude" should not have been rude, realize people try all sorts of things to get things free - which you could have used the tub for free popcorn refill - and it gets old after awhile. I work in the dental field and it happens all the time there too and admit I become grumpy after awhile when it happens continually). One thing to remember is this place has been under new ownership/management since sometime in 2015. Any review prior to that is for the old theater. It took some research because some of the complaints I saw just didnt make sense.

This place is so cute and has such potential and I really wanted to like it, but not until they fix some staffing issues. Went New Years Eve to see a 735pm movie in #3. When it didnt yet start at 745 we asked staff and they said oh youre in #3? Weve had problems with that program today. (Ok so why arent you proactive about making sure it works then?) We assumed they started it but at 757 we went out again and theyre like, thats not started yet? (What the heck!?!). Cleanliness was a problem too. The popcorn salt station was a mess as we walked in and there was popcorn all over the floor in that hallway but we thought they just had a rush so not their fault. Well two hours later were leaving and see the same mess! Plus the mens bathroom by our theater was flooded and out of order, and the womens had a broken faucet laying there on the counter and both soap dispensers were empty. Well try again in a few months and Ill update the review.

Service is slow as hell. Not to mention I showed up with 15 minutes before the end of the bands set and they charged me full admission. Tickets were $23.00s and when no one could find the guy running the live music I finally had to just drop $25 on the counter and tell them Ill be back for my change. When I went back for my change they gave me the run around for awhile and then finally handed me my $2 in change as if I had asked for something I wasnt entitled too. Poorly run, and if this is how they act and treat everyone I dont expect it to be around long. I know as a musician I will never play there, nor will I ever go see another band play. Not just because of this BS but there is absolutely no room in the stage area for anyone to have a good time its all seats. This place is a joke, dont waste your time or money.

Even after seeing dozens of movies at the St. Michael Cinema 15, our family continues to be amazed by the ambience, friendliness of the employees, comfort (no back or neck pain), cleanliness, free arcade, $5 matinees until 6pm, delicious variety of food, party packages, the bargain refillable popcorn bucket, and reasonable prices for concessions. No other movie theater compares...and weve been to many in both San Diego and the Twin Cities. We still gaze at the unique decor every time we walk in. Every experience there has been wonderful, including our visit last night to see Cars 3 . Thank you to all of the employees and owners who have given us this gem of a theater in our community for the past two years (congratulations)! Heres to many more years of success!

Bought concert tickets online. The concert was cancelled due to a personal emergency with the performer. OK. Received the email saying to contact the theater for a FULL refund. Went to the theater expecting a FULL refund. Showed my receipt for my online purchase. Looked at their receipt for my refund and it was $2 short. Manager was called and said it was not their problem and I had to contact the person who was giving the concert (in a very rude manor) was told a facebook page and was rudely told it was not up to them for that $2. Overall the manager was just rude and didnt have good customer service. I wanted to watch a movie that night but not with people who manage in such a rude manor.
