Messina Hof winery is a must visit in Grapevine, with wine made from 100% Texas fruit. The third oldest and most awarded Texas winery, the Messina Hof Winery was founded in 1977 in Bryan Texas where the first winery and corporate headquarters reside. The second location in texas was in Fredericksburg, followed by the Grapevine location which opened in December of 2014. Unique events for wine tasting are coming up at Halloween and during the Christmas Holidays when Main Street Grapevine is decorated for the holidays. Juan Castro is very helpful in event services. Rooms can be rented out for wine tastings with capacity for wine education classes at approximately 75. Must try is the Paulo Blend Bordeux which was bottled in 2011 - aged well and a light blend including Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc with notes of cherry and oak. The Sparkling wines were released by this winery in September of 2015 - the Texas Sparkling Almond Private Reserve is a good choice - similar- dry sparkling. Every Wednesdays - Wine Paring Tastings with Cheese and Chocolates. 6-8 PM

I got the privilege to be a part of a private wine tasting and our sommelier was very helpful/informative about teaching us (mostly non-wine drinkers) the techniques and intricacies of their products. She was fun, generous and very professional when dealing with our group (despite us having a bit of fun at their expense). As far as my untrained wine palate goes, some of the more inexpensive wines offered (under $25) tasted great, but were similar to me like popular inexpensive wines found at your local grocery store. Our group seemed to enjoy the Pablo and the Port (which the owner graciously poured for us) the most and I would highly recommend trying them yourself. But all-in-all we had a great time visiting Messina Hof and we thank them for their warm hospitality.

This place is great! My husband and I went to several wineries in Grapevine and this one was our favorite! There was a wide selection of wines to chose from and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! The building is a replica of an old hotel that was in Grapevine and the bartender was sweet enough to take my husband and I on a privet tour and explained some of the history of the building and town. If youre in Grapevine dont miss stopping into this winery!

Beautiful setting and delicious wine! Forego the tasting and do the 3 flights of wine while lounging in the bandstand or tables in bar area. When you walk in the Wallis Hotel, a beautiful staircase greets you...but the staircase doesnt tell you where to go. There werent clear instructions on where to go in the hotel for tastings and such so its much like "choose your own adventure" and youll eventually end up at the bar.

My husband and I have been members of the VIP Club at Messina Hof for over a year. We love it! They take really great care of their customers and their wine is excellent. Their Customer Relations staff is exceptional and we love visiting their wineries.

Whether youre looking for a romantic getaway Ari but in the girlfriends we can look no further than the Messina Hof Winery & Villa- where everyone is part of the family the only downside is that youll never want to leave

Artistic flair runs throughout this top-notch tasting room(s). The wine selection represents some of the best blends in Texas. Their GSM and Sagratino are must-haves to spend your wooden nickels on!

The dry reds were too syrup sweet for us. Dont recommend to those who like good dry red wines.

Did not allow me to vape inside. If you are planning an event you may want to look elsewhere.

The wine was pretty good. Probably not worth the price of most of the bottles.

Not the best winery on the strip.
