Review Date: Aug 12th 2015 Went in with really low expectations because of all the negative reviews that saw here, but since those bad reviews where one or two years old wanted to give the benefit of the doubt because of the newest reviews. The theaters seems renewed the sound is Dolby 7.1 surround, the screen is pretty clear, colors pretty vivid and bright, which I presume means new projectors, there is no way old projectors could give such definition, so my guess is the owners have been putting some money in over the course of the time. The seats are not bad, they are not stadium seating but they are not on flat ground either, there is a noticeable inclination, you can seat behind someone and there is no way their head will get in the way since every seat in from of you will be gradually lower. yes they could improve this area, perhaps better seats more comfortable? leather seats? more padding? actual stadium inclination? definitely room to improve but by no means a deal-breaker Bathrooms are clean, no weird smells, convenient parking (some people said it was confusing, is free parking on front of the cinemas and adjacent shops, not sure whats complicated about it), good service a lot of staff even on a Tuesday Will definitely keep going there, if you have gone to other bowtie cinemas this is just like the ones on Stamford and Sono which have much better reviews, I guess in the past this was not as well maintained as it is now

Ive been to this location several times in many years and since the switch to Bow Tie Ive had more bad than good movie-going experiences. Movies playing much smaller than the screen, movies losing sound... this theater isnt remotely comfortable enough to warrant dealing with such absurd issues (a movie theater losing sound... are you kidding me?!). Even when they choose to refund your money or offer you a free ticket to another show, you still have to wait in a line for about half an hour--half an hour you should be spending watching the movie youve already paid to see. One more thing about Bow Tie: if youre a member of Bow Tie Cinemas Criterion Card Club (or whatever the stupid thing is called), dont opt to get your free movie voucher unless youre sure youll be able to attend a movie at Bow Tie Cinemas in the next month. If you wait past a month, your voucher will expire, and all of the points youve worked to accumulate by seeing countless movies at Bow Tie locations will disappear. I repeat, you do not get your points back if you dont use your free movie ticket voucher in time. If you can see your movie elsewhere, do, preferably at a theater that isnt run by Bow Tie Cinemas.

This place used to be a great place for watching movies. Theyre doing a renovation that is putting in new fancy recliners that you would think would make watching a movie much better, but it doesnt. They dont go far back enough. They make you reserve the seats. So if youre running late and everyone took all the good seats, just dont bother going because youll either be stuck in the very front or the way back. My back and my wifes back were killing us at the end of the movie. To top everything off because all these fancy seats are coming they think that jacking up the prices on the concession stand is the best bet. Not a good idea in my opinion. Youre already paying way too much for a movie ticket. Now you have to pay $4.50 for a water bottle. No thanks. In my opinion this place is going down hill. Call me cheap, but I rather just wait for the movie to come out on red box then to go spend so much money on a 2hr movie. Your best bet if you want to keep watching movies there is to go on a Tuesday where its half the price. Unless they decide to take that away. Only time will tell....

Went to see Hugo in 3D this afternoon. Ironically, this sweet film about the magic and wonder of cinema was a miserable viewing experience. The screen was tiny and the sound from the film next door permeated through the thin walls. The projection framing was off and clipped the top part of the frame and gave the actors haircuts in the close ups (you could see the missing portion faintly in the upper black masking). Also the end titles where suddenly cut off and house lights where turned on. Maybe I expect too much for a $13 matinee.

One of my least favorite places to see a movie locally. The parking is awkward at best and often overcrowded, the lobby is tiny and very bare, way too small for peak hours, the screen and seating okay but not much to shout about, though the sound system was better than many when it first opened. Snacks are pedestrian at best. Youd think that being around such swanky towns it would do a better job of appealing. Id rather travel further to larger and better facilities.

The theater is renovating the lobby which caused slow, long lines to buy tickets. The candy/popcorn bar is reduced in size by at least by 3/4, more long lines. There is nowhere to sit, cement floors, and in general a mess. However, once inside the theater it was superb with wide recliner seats with trays and cupholders. The best!!

Están remodelando pero el servicio sigue siendo bueno. Hay salas nuevas con asientos reclinables y numerados.

They are currently undergoing renovations (June 2017) so only two theaters are open, but they are outfitted with large comfortable recliner seats and side tables. Seats are reserved. There is a bar and larger food selection coming soon.

Horrible parking, messy lobby, broken seats and the picture quality is rarely very good. but the worst for me are the seats. the seats are so worn, stretched out, and uncomfortable that i cant even go there any more.

The theatre was updated and very clean, pretty decent service and theyre not letting under age kids into rated R movies anymore without a parent, so good job on that, cause teens can really ruin a movie for you.

I live in Norwalk, CT and have to drive all the way to Hartford, CT to see the movie Splice cuz thats the only theatre within a 100,000 mile radius that shows it!? Bowtie sucks. Its that simple.

Place is ok. It was supposed to have gotten renovation done in 2015 however that did not happen. Staff is pretty friendly but the whole place just stuck in the old age and just facelift.

The new remodel is excellent - high quality seats that are both comfortable and make sitting in the closer to the screen isles more pleasant. Also the usher was fantastic and friendly.

This place is the bomb! They just upgraded it so now it has a bar and serves real food. Also all if the seats are like recliners so they are crazy comfortable for watching movies in.

We were excited to see Rogue One and it was amazing, but our theatre smelled like poop and barf. Not a fun way to spend three hours.
