The cinema recently renovated the seating so that most are large leather recliners with feet rests. However, seats are much larger so there are less of them. We purchased tickets for a 9:20 movie, and showed up thirty minutes prior. Once the doors open, people sprinted to the recliner seats and they filled up fast. I wager there is only about 50 seats where you can enjoy the movie. There are a few rows of normal seating at the very front of the theater The closets row maybe less than ten feet from the screen. Simply put, these front seats are unwatchable. We walked out and asked the cashier for a refund because of the seating. The provided a credit card refund without question and surmised it was because of the seats. On top of the $5 for a small soda, not updating showtimes that are sold out, we will not be returning to this movie theater.

In the past I always had good things to say about this place. Now, however the new staff hired have become extremely rude specifically the managers. Since they have the new leather reclining chairs they need to have staff members inside the theater helping people sit in the right seats just like how Island 16 has the reserved seating and they do this. Farmingdale needs to learn from them and do the same. I was sitting in a seat and 10 min into the movie people come in with their flashlights on their phones making me get up from my seat. This is ridiculous and we walked right out of the movie and the manager made us get up from our seats when there were many other of the same type of seats available. Managers were very rude and unfair.

This is pretty much an average movie theater. This one happens to be quite large with many screens showing many different movies at once. The concession stand is nothing special. They have all the usual items. Popcorn, soda, candy, pretzel bites with cheddar cheese sauce – all at outrageous prices l)ike every other movie theater around). So what makes this theater worthwhile? Two things: 1.) You can purchase tickets in advance using a service like Fandango (which allows you to actually reserve a specific seat). 2.) Thanks to a recent renovation, they have huge, leather reclining seats. Youll feel like youre sitting in first class on an airplane.

Its a decent movie theater. Nothing really stood out to me except that the price of a movie ticket is $1 or $2 higher than the other movie theaters Ive gone to. The food is not that great compared to the money youll have to spend. It actually made me walk across the parking lot to get pizza at a pizzeria. They do have a clean theater & that includes the bathroom & the staff is friendly. I did notice that the seats at the sides of the theater are for 2 people. Might be nice if youre on a date & dont want anyone else in your row. I still prefer the middle section for the better viewing angle though.

$18 for X-Men in 3-D. Left side of the screen was blurry the whole movie. When I brought it to the attention of customer service, they actually asked "well, are you wearing the 3-D glasses?" Seriously? 2 guys checked it out. I got the excuse that "thats just how perspective works in 3-D movies." I wanted to say "No. No it doesnt. Real life is 3-D and I can see you just fine." Even my boyfriend was complaining. He thought there was something wrong with his eye so I know it wasnt just me. If you like blurry 3-D movies, this is the place for you.

This is a very nice theater, comfortable seating, very clean. We had a slight problem involving a change in which theater our movie was showing in. The tickets, which I had bought 2 days prior, said auditorium 9, but it had been switched to auditorium 5. We didnt discover this until our movie had already begun, causing us to miss the first couple of minutes. The manager was so accommodating and apologetic, however, and compensated us more than adequately for the mix-up. I would definitely recommend this venue for movie viewing.

The atrium an outside of the theatre is and always has been perfect. Inside the theatres is another thing entirely. It feels like they built the seating not for comforr but for mass audience. Sometimes on big opening nights they have armed security which is nice but i wish they had it all the time. I could also be influenced by the magnificent united artist cinemas down the road with reclining seats and perfect seat placement. Farmingdale is cool though.

Honestly, there are a bunch a movie theatres in Long Island that is just flat out nicer in every aspect. I know its the theater but they gorge you at the concession stand with no remorse. They dont even have combos so you can save just little bit. Everything separate and after buying a $7 dollar soda they are glad to say that refills are not included. Take the drive and just go to Loews Raceway in Westbury/Garden City instead.

Huge seating area with stadium seating. Main atrium features a centralized concession stand that caters to both sides of the theater entrances so you dont need to worry about running around from one side of the multiplex to the other for snacks. Large middle area walk ways in the theater themselves allows for easy access to both the top and bottom rows.

Went to see the first matinee of Civil War in a Saturday. I dont understand why the price is $10.25 for adults and $9.75 for children. Theater wasnt even newly renovated and did not have recliners. AMC and UA theaters offer both of those for matinee prices of less than $8. What did I pay more for?

Horrible experience with the staff. My husband walks with a cane and cant stand long. No seats in hallway. They had us wait about 15 minutes before going in theatre, he had to go back to the front of the theatre to sit, a longer walk too the theatre. Please respect the handicap.

Yeah its been renovated and now has recliner seats, which are comfortable. However, snacks are crazy expensive, the popcorn isnt good (stale), and the sizes of the expensive snacks are smaller than other local theaters. With so many choices, they have to do a better job.

This theater is freezing!!! Every time I have viewed a film at this theater, the heat is turned off immediately after the movie starts. By the time the movie ends, my nose and ears are frozen! I have brought this to the managers attention several times to no avail.

Island 16 is much better although the snack counter moves 10x faster here. But its time to move out the 80. We need more than jus a cheep snack counter and lame game room. And whats the deal with not knowing when a movie is coming to the theater room days before????

The best part about the theater is the seating. Plush overstuffed recliners will keep you comfortable through any showing. One small annoyance, the overhead lighting was never completely turned off. Made it difficult to see clearly at points during the film.

After the renovations to the theaters this place has become a very good theyre again. Pricing is in line with every other major chain in the area. Sound and picture quality are top notch. They do not have an IMAX screen. They do offer reserved seating.
