Centennial Hall is absolutely in need of repair. The acoustics are terrible and the seats are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and I am still young! They do sell alcohol which is nice being on university grounds and allow you to stand outside before the show and have a pre-show cocktail to prepare yourself for the awful seats in the hall. I remember having lectures and freshman orientation in this hall and now fast forward to when I was a season ticket holder to Broadway in Tucson- NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Be prepared to use porta-potties if you go to centennial hall because there are very small bathrooms for women and men (only one bathroom for women with a few stalls and the same for men). I am not sure why they moved broadway in tucson (besides opportunity for more money and more seats). The Tucson music hall was actually built for performances- better lobby, better seats, better sound. I used to be a season ticket holder by now I am very reluctant to buy even one show now because the experience is just so awful, It is a shame too because some of the touring acts have been great.

I went here once for Phantom of the Opera and it was enough for me to want to purchase season tickets for me and a friend. They were reasonably priced considering the shows we would see (Phantom, Book of Mormon, and Chicago, two tickets for each show, $300 for shows and fees), and it was spectacular. It may be somewhat of a small venue for these kinds of Broadway performances, but they definitely make do. The props and effects were great and the show itself was beyond words. I only have 2 complaints: -Snacks outside are fairly expensive (as expected) -The engineering of the actual Hall could be worked on. Although the hall is built at a downward slant so that all members of the audience could see, I would be lying if I didnt say that the people in front of me got in the way just a little. Granted, I am very short in stature, but I feel like if the layout was a bit more strategic, it wouldnt be a problem at all.

We just saw Jersey Boys last evening. The show was spectacular. But I wish I could say the same for Centennial Hall. The acoustics are mediocre at best, preventing some of the dialogue from being clearly heard. That has been an ongoing problem at Centennial since it was built. But last evening, we nearly froze. There was an actual breeze in our seats and at intermission we moved to another section where it was cold but not flowing air. Please correct these issues before theatre patrons would rather see shows in small venues locally or just give up and choose to travel to Phoenix for adequate theatre experiences!

Acoustics are only fair. Line of sight is good because there are no pillars. The ladies restroom is small but has lots of stalls so the long line moves very fast dont be discouraged. Parking is an issue. Find the public lots and figure a minimum five to ten minute walk. Seating is new but the backs are uncomfortable. Everyone around us was trying to stretch out during intermission. That said it is the only venue in Tucson for major traveling productions so just know the limitations and plan accordingly. We spent the money for good seats and heard everything fine. It was a great production

Very nice venue BUT the sound system/acoustics are terrible. Mostly too loud and too much reliance on two large speaker towers on either side of the stage. In other words the sound is poorly distributed/balanced making it difficult to understand lyrics vs. music with the music often drowning out the lyrics. Recently went to see Kinky Boots, which is a great musical but could not understand most of the lyrics.

We went to goo see the Nutcracker it was a nice play! I didnt like that while the play was going on the staff was still letting people in and guiding them to their seat with bright flashlights. Also that they sell bagged chips and people were so noisy with those bags. Other than that is a nice place.

Great shows, but very poor acoustics (especially if not center sections), and shallow slope gives poor visibility of stage. Seats are uncomfortable and you cant see faces if near the main cross-aisle. All that said, Im glad its there, and I like going to the shows. Wish there were other options too.

Your experience here will greatly depend on where you are seated. The acoustics are not consistent throughout the venue. If you have seats on the main floor and generally near the center, then you will likely have both good sightlines and good audio.

Ive seen several shows, plays and performances here and its always a great time. Concessions can be pricey, but seating is comfortable. The view is pretty much good from anywhere, and the acoustics are great.

Part of the U of A, this theater/concert hall is one of the best places to catch a "Broadway in Tucson" show, or one of the many musical events in the Old Pueblo.

Seats were good, 6 rows from the from. Im a big guy. 6 foot with a burly, robust build. Seats were tight and not comfiest for me. The theatre overall was great

Been coming here for years. Always a great shows. Dropped a star because of seats. They need to be updated. I believe they are from the last remodel in 85.

This is the "big hall" on the UA campus. It hosts a wide variety of events. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and the acoustics are poor.

attended the Motown play here. The chairs are a bit old, noisy and not real comfortable, but other than that, the place is great for a play.

I recommend biking if youre attending an event. Racks just left of the building. Bring it in your car, or youll be walking a lot.

I love the shoes that Broadway in Tucson brings, but the sound at Centennial Hall makes it very hard to hear many of the shoes.

Great venue, but the shows are what make it worth visiting. Not like youd sit in an empty theater at two in the afternoon. ..

The show was great, but they let you into a very cramped, hot lobby and not into the theatre. Really dampened the experience!

Difficult parking, long walk for handicapped after parking, old building, stairs, small restroom. Sound was excellent.

Wonderful hall with great acoustics and only a few bad seats (far wings can be slightly behind columns).

I regret to say the site lines and acoustics are poor. This is a lecture hall not a concert venue.
