I recommend anyone who is planning on going to the theaters to avoid this place. First off, the popcorn is extremely overpriced (and thats compared to other theaters). Also, the lobby is very poorly laid out, so anytime a big movie comes out, there is literally no room. Even with a normal night, the lobby is a pain to move around in. But my biggest complaint is the manager. I was trying to watch a movie and some guy with a big ol IPad was sitting in front of me with the brightness really high. It gave me a headache, so I had to leave. I asked for a refund and the manager was a total jerk about it. I was in there for like 30 minutes and he almost didnt give me my refund. He also got mad because I complained about that guy. He said if I wouldve done anything he wouldve thrown me out. That is completely stupid. Im not planning on going back there anytime soon. At least not until they get a new manager.

The staff wanted to charge $5 dollars for a small cup with tap water. Greedy staff and dumb as it gets. We been asked for $.075 cents for the same small cup with ice in the past. Management needs to train better this people. Please use your brains! Who in their right mind will pay $5 for a small kid cup with tap water or ice? Might as well, if thats how much they value loyal costumers, we should go somewhere else. We got the medium popcorn that cost $6.75 or more and 2 movie tickets ($17 dollars) and they wanted to charge to the ass for a kids cup on top of that. In other theaters like Harkins in BR, the kids cup with ice and water would be free.

Nothing to complain about. On Monday night, it was dead. I finally saw The Dark Tower. My BF and I were the only ones in the theater. Last showing on a Monday night at the beginning of the school year. We werent surprised. The staff was friendly, helpful, and swift of service. They even allowed us to bring in a blanket from our car when we asked since it was pretty chilly in the establishment. The seats were comfortable and the area was clean. What more can you ask for in a movie-going experience?

I think that management should know that the ticket workers are costing them money. Today it cost them two tickets, and who knows how many more before us, because they talked us out of watching a movie today, scaring my daughter. Last time I checked they were hired to sell tickets not being paid to be movie critics! Keep your opinion to yourself you are just there to sell us tickets!!! If we purchase tickets and dont like the movie then that is on us.

Pleased to say that I always have a good experience at this theater. Once, when the theater was too cold for the patrons, the manager promptly changed the temperature to make us comfortable. The service is always prompt and courteous and the atmosphere pleasant. I highly recommend Malco Gonzales to anyone wanting to truly enjoy a movie in the Baton Rouge area without having to go into the big city.

I would rate this a 6/5 if i could, it was awsome. I was with my friends and we drove there and we got there like 30 mins early so the cool thing is that there is a bowling place next door so we went bowling for 25 mins then went back to malco and it took only like 5 mins to get 4 tickets and 2 large popcorns and 4 large drinks and the chairs in the theater are really comfortable

Overall really nice theater with comfy leather seats and superb sound from speakers that dont pop and crackle. Actually, the speakers are the main draw for me because they rumble and really immerse you in the movies. I like the "No Babies after a certain hour" rule. Wish they had a no stupids rule but it is in Gonzales so cant fault the cinema for that.

If I would have went to AMC theater in batonrouge I would have saved some money. I went to watch ride along 2 that started @ 9:15 on January 23, 2016 and paid $10.00 a person. I know for a fact that is expensive because I have never paid that much to go watch a movie unless it was IMax I will never use malco again. After 6 pm

Being from out of town, i gotta say, this movie theater is very clean, leather electric reclining seats, good popcorn, and one of the biggest screens i have seen. Its worth paying the extra 2 or 3 bucks, i just forgot what the room is called...but check it out...its really nice...

Good clean theatre..not freezing cold or too hot. Good service and quick seating. Popcorn is rarely stale and drinks are never bad.. current and convenient with the bowling and entertainment center right food makes for an easy date night location for movie and bowling buffs.

Great theater. I really cant say anything that could be better. The staff is friendly, the seats and theaters are comfy, the sound was great. Although I have never went on a weekend peak time, I can recommend this place to anyone wanting to watch a new movie.

Friendly staff,clean environment, and good food you cant ask for better than that. We take our boys to the gameroom all the time. We all have a blast and it wares the kids out. Malcos is definitely the best place to hit Gonzales in quite some time js

I love this place. Theres an arcade connected right next door with a bowling alley and a cool diner. Love bringing my son to a movie here. Everything is so outdated it looks retro. Which I personally like. We always go play at the arcade afterwards.

Ive only had one bad experience when the power went out, but they handled it very nicely and gave us free movie tickets. I love this theatre, and its nice not to have to drive all the way to Baton Rouge to see a movie.

This place is really nice. I didnt have any issues with this theater. The people were nice and friendly. As with any movie theater, the snacks are expensive but The theater was clean and the seats are well organized.

Many show times, excellent facilities, clean bathrooms, and a wonderful location make this theater a huge hit in Gonzales. The adjoining arcade and bowling alley are impressive too.

They dont serve liquor and I went to see it. No one walked around to check how loud people was being nor do they server drinks if I didnt say so at first.
