Went to this theatre for the Preview of the new 007 film. It was convenient. But nothing was done to tune things up for a premiere - the (digital) projection was slightly dim, a piece of overhead curtain was hanging down & casting a shadow in the upper right corner of the screen in one of the main larger auditoriums (like a large black dust particle in the projector gate), the wall sconces (lights) were too bright during the show, the sound was thin even tho advertised as Dolby Digital EX (& probably no subwoofer speaker(s)) and the it smelled a bit like the inside of a vacuum cleaner - not terrible, but distinct. The walkway carpets are dirty & badly worn. ~ The restroom was clean & the high school kids who seem to run the place were friendly. ~ Easy parking. This theatre is rapidly becoming one of the Dollar movie theatres that were around for awhile. Prices are slightly less than market, but only 50¢ to a $1 cheaper than the larger, nicer, better equipd theatres nearby. Hadnt been there since the partial stadium remodel & hoped for better; was disappointed.

I like the Grand (now Celebrity) Cinema! Ticket prices are excellent, lower than anywhere else in Baton Rouge, and they still serve a large popcorn in a big tub not the smaller bags you get at the glitzier chain theaters. Grand Cinema is about 20 years old and has the feel of a 1980s neighborhood movie theater. But, it has been renovated over the years and now has excellent digital sound and projection, including 3D so you dont need to go to the Raves to get that experience. With only eight screens, it sometimes lacks a film i want to see, but i am glad this independent option is still available to us in Baton Rouge.

Make no mistake, this is the best theater in town. It is a little off the beaten path, quaint, but has digital projectors and stadium seating. Expect all the normal snacks at the bar, but slightly cheaper than the larger theaters. The ticket prices are the cheapest in town, and do not reflect the quality. The theater is clean, and neat. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dont think that they dont have all the quality of the big theaters. This is the only place I go to watch movies in Baton Rouge.

I love celebrity theaters it is new and improved from grand cinema.First of all grand cinema did not have the red carpet rewards for $1 such a deal.500 points will get you two free tickets and a medium popcorn.Grand cinema did not have the cheese popcorn with cheetos in it or the Coca Cola freestyle machine.Those were all great changes to the theater.I love the trays in the seat to put concessions on.I will go back again and very pleased.The building is expanding and 60 arcade games will be added.

My first visit back after the renovation was a wonderful surprise to see that their ticket prices & concessions have not increased, & the clean, comfortable facility is great! Big reclining chairs, swing-away trays lend to an at-home comfortable viewing experience. Modern, clean bathrooms, & fun arcade game area, plenty of parking; great job! Will always choose this theater over others if theyre playing the movie I want to see!

In the world of modern movie theaters, whats most important? Price? Movie starting on time? Limited trailers before the film? Environment? If you care more about the first three, the Grand Cinema is perfect for you. If you care about sights and smells and glitz and glam, try one of the more expensive, crowded, untimely theaters in town - theyre nice too.

BEST !! I have been a going to this theater for YEARS! small price ....no mass of people ! great popcorn .And last night I left my Oakley shades in cup holder ($260 split lens ) and called when I got home .......the clean-up guy turned them in and I was able to pick them up next day! WOW! I will continue to frequent this theater for any & all movies!

I receive great service from friendly staff. This movie theater serves the best popcorn that Ive ever eaten PERIOD. Alcoholic beverages offered are a huge plus and not to mention the clean and cozy atmosphere. Im glad that I only live less than a mile away, but even if I lived 20 miles away, itd be well worth the trip.

This is a wonderful community theater and I thoroughly enjoy going there every single time. Convenient and well done. Great sound and picture, and now with the new recliner seating, reserved seats, and updated arcade, decor, even bathrooms, this has cemented its place as our "go to" theater.

Pleasantly surprising. Really good to have a smaller, but still high quality movie theater for folks not so close to the mall or ONeal. The auditorium we viewed was small but the chairs were reclining ones. The amenities were great. I hope it stays!

Recently completed a complete renovation. Now has large recliners for your viewing and sitting pleasure. I love going here because its in the neighborhood and is rarely crowded. Also, the place was spotless the last time we went.

I have always enjoyed this movie theater even when it wasnt in the prime condition it is in now. The movie theater has recliner seats that you are assigned to and the snacks are reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

The renovation done here is nice. The new reserved seating is great and the new seats are comfortable with lots of room between rows; the screen size is good; sound could be a little better but is on the better end.

This cinema is relatively easy and fast and trustworthy because i dropped my phone and when i went back in to get get it they happily gave it back to me with no problems when i asked rather than possibly stealing it

The place was a fun place to go. It had a good theater and was almost like movie tavern except for the watching and dining. It had games to play before and after movies. That place was a great place to go.

This place is about to be pimped out! They have a whole bunch of plans and thus far looks pretty impressive from what I am seeing. I cant wait to see the inside but never had a bad experience here yet.

I love this theater! The popcorn is THE best. Cheapest ticket prices too and usually no sold outs, it is so off the beaten path. I feel like it belongs to me! and the people are super nice!

Just went to the newly remodeled theater. It is definitely the best in town now. Everything is all brand new and beautiful. The prices are still pretty good. I love this theater!!!

The prices are on par with AMC plus you get reserved seating in leather reclining seats...I wont go to any other theater now. Also, try the Cheetos popcorn its positively addictive.

Never crowded. Has adequate parking and is just up Jones Creek Road and across Coursey Blvd from the Outback! A great theater for the over 50 crowd. : )
