This establishment was awful in every aspect. Please read the whole review for details. You must buy points that are added to a card. 1 point = $0.25. The games, however, were priced at different increments. For example, 2.3 points for one game and 7.2 for another. This made absolutely no sense to me other than to take money from the consumer. For example, the three cards I purchased all had small balances remaining we were unable to use on any games. Some games were as much as 8 points (or $2.00) per turn. There were several games I know I have seen at Chuckie Cheese’s for $0.25 that were $1.00+ at Power Play. Several games we played did not work. The staff had no problem refunding my card for the game, but I can’t help but think of a 7 year old trying to figure out if their card was debited for the amount of the game or not. Several of the games were also out of order. After being completely annoyed and fed up with the pricing, I had the kids I took use up the rest of their balance as soon as possible to get out of there. This brings us to the annoying ticket situation. The prizes were extremely cheap and low quality (much worse than anything Ive seen at any similar establishment). My son had a balance of 99 tickets. After getting a few prizes, we had a balance of 4 tickets left, which we took home with us on our card since the smallest prize was 5 tickets. Another thing I must mention is the fact that their kid’s zone was 20 points (or $5.00) to enter!!! Inside of the kids zone are tubes and a ball pit (something that is free at Chuckie Cheese and a few area fast food restaurants), a few toddler toys, and a few games (which they also charge for). There was no security at the exit and the place was dimly lit. I don’t mind paying for games or entertainment for my children and some of this may sound petty, but this place is no doubt making a significant amount of money off of the small amounts they take/save from overpriced games, unused balances on cards, broken games, and unused tickets. I have no idea why anyone would return. I did not try the food so maybe there is a positive note there.

I went to Power Play tonight with my boyfriend thinking that it would be fun, well it was not even remotely fun. I had a horrible time finding the bowling alley, and when I got there I was extremely disappointed in how small the alley was. It was dumb that I had to buy a card to have some guy swipe it for a game of bowling. I wanted to have a fun date night, but was extremely disappointed in how close I had to sit to a bunch of hoodlums that were trying to do a "two step" and were in the way every time that I tried to bowl. It was too small, the staff was rude, and was very careless about the situation. I was not impressed and want my money back. I hated every minute of it, and walked away half way through our game because the ball kept scraping my finger because it was broken. I will never give Power Play of Overland Park, Kansas my business again.

My husband and I have frequented Powerplay for several years as we love arcades and Powerplay is an excellent one. We happened to discover they had a banquet hall while we were searching for our venue for our wedding and we are so happy we decided to go with Powerplay! The banquet hall is stunning. The buffet, as always, as delicious and there was no fear of running out of food. The entertainment packages for guests are very affordable and the transition from ceremony to dinner to arcade and dancing was seamless. Above all, Katie and Austin, the event coordinator and manager, were absolutely perfect! Every need we had was taken care and we even ordered our champagne through their bar! Our wedding was a blast from start to finish, thank you thank you thank you for helping to make the day so wonderful!

I came in from CA for a vacay to see family and celebrate wifes bday. Unfortunately, I dont know if it was due to the earlier private party that ended an hour before our arrival, but the service was horrible not to mention the pricing. This is no Dave n Busters, however the management wasnt very excellent in customer service, remember rule #1 "Customer is always right", dont tell me Im lying about how long ppl were waiting to PAY to bowl or to PAY more $$ for drinks. Manager proceeded to scold an employee in attempts to pass the buck, NOT COOL. I apologized to employee and manager never apologized to me. Needless to say, I was purposed to have a good time and a good time we will have.. TYJ - GGG..

I showed up at 10:20 on sunday morning and they were not open. They were supposed to open at 10. No manager was there. The employees said the GM would be there in 10-20 minutes, but she did not show up until around 11:20 or so. After waiting an hour to play, the GM had the nerve to lie to me and say they dont open until 11. I was like no your door, website, and google all say 10. She was like yeah. She did not want to make her customers happy after having to wait so long. I would of left, but I promised my son for two weeks I would take him. Very angry she was so rude to me and didnt care that myself and others had to wait over an hour to actually get in and be able to play.

This was a complete joke. I was given incorrect information over the phone, so the gals at the counter offered to get their manager. I was treated so poorly and in an extremely unprofessional manner by manager Tracy. He walked off in my face, at one point telling me he didnt have time for me. He has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen at any establishment. I spent 108.00 walking into PowerPlay, and that is the treatment that is approved. I will never attempt to go there again and plan to continue to reach someone above Tracy. The establishment has really gone down hill: dirty bathrooms, unpleasant workers, horrible service and the worst management.

They used to be good. Their employees dont care about customers and I know theyve been turned in for kitchen staff being illegal aliens. Food was okay, could have been better. The theater dining area while the projector worked, there was no sound. It took forever to get a response from management before they just said, "Oh the speakers have been out for weeks. We would get someone to come in and fix them but theyre only available during the week and we cant close down an area while were open." So in other words, youre telling me it wont be fixed ever. If they want to stay in business, they need to start at the management head and go down to correct their issues.
