The Local Tap - This is a bar attached to a few other bars, each with their own unique traits. All of them together make up One Block South. This particular bar, The Local Tap, is broken into two different sides with one side being a bar side with games to play like skeeball, life size Connect 4 and Jenga, darts, etc. The other side of the bar is used for live bands to play. I happened to go on Wednesday night and watched a very talented musician play on the bar side. Hes there every Wednesday night and is worth checking out. Food wise, they have pizza by the slice that can be ordered with a host of different toppings, as well as other appetizer type foods. Limited menu, but everything Ive had has been good quality with decent prices. The service has always been good when I have visited and they have a host of local beers on tap. Disclaimer: I would give this place higher stars, but Im not a fan of the music they play here on the weekends. The night I was there, Mikey, the musician was fantastic. I would also like to see more food available on the menu.

Came from out of town for a few drinks and to dance. I was told by the DJ that the owner doesnt want hip hop played due to the crowd it brings. Then my fiancé, who is black, was accused of stealing $1 off the bar. It was our tip money for the bartender, who was very sweet and confused why security was harassing us, that we joked with her about. Mind you we are both college graduates making around $90,000 a year. Security then caused a scene and instead of apologizing he continued to curse and yell at us. I put my hand up and said were good, its fine, the security put his hands on me (I am 130lbs and 53) and at no point was I aggressive nor was I drunk or even tispy. They then made us leave. The owner called me the following day and there was never an apology made. He said it was a misunderstanding and hung up when I told him it was uncalled for. Many locals told us it was a racist bar and to avoid it for any future trips to KC. I would not recommend this place.

This is a happening night spot complex with multiple bars and restaurants with different comfortable atmospheres and menus.. It has a mixture of live bands and DJs in 3 different bars of which some are National acts. There are some game machines and pool tables to pass the time with. The cover charges for entertainment is very reasonable....lots of pretty girls in a nice affluent area.

One South Block is my least favorite of the three (4ish) bars. Kanza Hall has the dance and country scene. Red 8 billiard room, relax bit calmer scene. Fuel rock and pop music. One South block is always weird Techno, or bad live bands, not enough games, constantly changing. I usually avoid this spot, but sometimes venture in as I am near by

Your security staff wouldnt let our uber driver pick us up. They also showed disrespect when we tried to explain it was an uber. Using profanities and yelling. Thank you for not keeping your patrons safe. We reserved a table at Kanza and the server ignored us half the night. Dont go there if your just women. Horrible service and staff!

One Block South is the happening place. You option of one to four bars......or all four of you want for a VERY small fee. The staff is great and taxi service out front to take you home. What more can you ask for. They also have great food specials.

Very clean and nice. There are several very different clubs available all for one cover charge. There is a wide variety of beers from all of the club. The Pizza at the Local Tap was excellent as was the service. I need to go back!

Four (4) bars within one strip. You can bring your drinks back and forth. Nice open patio with overhead heaters during the chilly nights!
