Well start off easy and pick up the pace. This venue is overpriced... not only is this piece of junk venue overpriced but it is an employer to an abundance of hipster, cigarette smoking, PBR drinking, beanie wearing, prepubescent beard having, tattooed idiots. I will further elaborate. My friends and I purchased tickets for a show at this venue. The show was cancelled by the artist due to the lead vocalists unexpected illness. The artist however stated that they would return after their last tour date to play a recovery show. This show would be free of charge due to the previous cancellation. You need only to bring your ticket to the venue for the previous date. My friends and I show up,after an hour and a half drive to this abandon crap hole. With excitement in our hearts and dreams in our heads, we walk into this venue only to be greeted by these "cool kid," employees. They not only refuse our tickets and plea, but they proceed to make several remarks towards us, degrading us. They also proceeded to verbally assault my friends younger sister. (because they obviously couldnt hold their own in any physical confrontation.) The venue was trashed, the beverages were overpriced, and the employees smelt like they either were too hipster for deodorant and toothpaste or just too poor to buy any. The next time I go to this venue will be when I am just looking for a place to take a dump and am in the area. Believe me, I plan to go out of my way to drop a dank torpedo in their place of business. Solely because it appears that is all it is good for. Employ people that know exactly what a calculator is and someone who isnt so full of teenage angst. Also, your security at the venue can eat a big one. I saw them gagging on each others behind the tour bus.

not the friendliest bunch of guys to deal with. especially considering that they need to keep their customers to survive as a business. the previous stories ive read and heard seem to coorelate with my notions toward the staff. the security is weak; youll get kicked out, no questions asked, for crowd surfing (even if youre in the band, a liability issue i presume) but you can mosh your face off and somehow they dont also consider that an issue, throwing blind fists and the like. i can understand it to an extent, but only to an extent. you should never be kicked out of a ROCK venue for crowd surfing, after paying to have a good time. the venue itself is fine, i just dont care for the staff and security, and not many people do either. ive never had a great time here.

This place is very dirty and run-down. They expect it too get trashed, so they leave it that way. Ive played several times on their stage and the house sound is simply terrible. The venue might work when out-of-town acts bring their own gear and engineers, but its just a dirty floor and bad sound otherwise. The last time I played there I brought a power-drink to have before I went on. I stepped out the side door to have a smoke and I was punched and then tackled by a bouncer. Apparently they thought I was taking a drink out of the bar but gave me no warning. Since my drum kit was being used by the other bands playing that evening, and I was with the headlining band, I decided to do right by the other bands and let the night continue as planned. Just beware.

I have tinnitus (permanent ringing in the ears) so for me, finding a good venue means finding a venue that projects the sound in a less harmful way, because with the ringing already being permanent, a night out at a show can make for a terrible night afterwards. With that said, Headliners has no wall padding of any sort inside, its all brick, making the sound quality decent but way louder than i feel it needs to be. Oh, and theres a barrier. Other than that, I have no problems with it, its a great venue, a nice way to meet the bands as well. They have no where to hide but their bus if they even have one haha

Been to several concerts here. Probably the best place in town for a concert, barely beating out The Louisville Palace downtown. Good acoustics, wide variety of bands and concerts, and the drink prices are decent. The parking can be a burden, but if you show up earlier than 15 minutes before the show, youll get a parking spot easily enough. The main gripe is that there is only one way in, and if people are buying tickets on site, instead of in advance, there arent separate lines. Not fun when it is raining outside, and hordes of people want in where it is dry. Otherwise, great venue for concerts.

Great venue for a concert. They dont oversell their venue so it makes for a comfortable viewing experience. Quick service at the bar with alcohol process in line with other venues of this type. Parking is an issue so be prepared to pay $3 to park in a lot next to the establishment. Someone in the venue took the time to come out and warm the crowd that police were out ticketing cars parked along the road. The upstairs area offers a very limited amount of seating and people will most likely end up standing up there anyway.

Headliners has been a great rock hall for many years. The ability to see great bands in a fairly intimate setting makes for very unique experiences across the board. The bar has a decent selection. Sound tends to be way too bass heavy due to the room configuration, but some people may enjoy that. The restrooms are horrific, as you might expect. Other than those few negatives, the venue is a long-standing Louisville classic. So many great shows in this venue.

Pretty good venue with TERRIBLE parking. Its been better since they are now using the lot across the street, but still pretty bad. The venue itself has some pretty good sound. The balcony level is a bit inconvenient and the 1st floor bar takes up way too much floor space, but if your hitting up the pit you wont care.

Headliners is one of the better clubs in town. The sound system gets a bit washed out, but were lucky to have it. Its a medium sized venue with a balcony, and an open floor in front of the stage, but for shows catering to an older crowd, they will set out chairs. Dinner really great acts come through here.

The staff was extremely rude and added drinks to my tab. When I asked the bar manager if he could take the added drinks off my tab he made me wait about 20 minutes, then said "it is what it is". Also, the sound quality was terrible, noting but feedback. We walked out halfway through the show. Never again.

My van fell in a pit out front. I was turning around in the lot. I talked to management about responsibility for damage. I got called names and they disclaimed everything. Be careful where you park. The pit is covered by a plastic bread tray or a pallet. I certainly wouldnt go there for my live shows.

Good small music venue. While it is a small venue you can really get close to the acts if you want. Parking can be a pain but they have a fairly large lot plus on street parking on Lexington. If all that is full you can also park at the Distiller Commons right next door for about $3.
