Generally I love the AMC Movie Theater chain, they work very hard to provide an excellent customer experience. I am a very consistent movie goer, at least once or twice a week as I write reviews on my personal blog and for the local paper. Overall, the AMC New Lenox is clean (although they are remodeling as of this review), the sound system and picture quality is excellent; I am especially impressed with their 3D IMAX experience. All that being said, the concession area leaves a little to be desired. They either need to train their people a bit better or hire more. They have also recently installed Coke machines that allow you to mix as well as select flavors, however, they are positioned as such that they are difficult to use and during busy nights they are a bottle neck and very frustrating. One suggestion to the AMC management, position these along a wall and leave a bit of space for one to step aside, cap it and grab a straw allowing the next person to use the machine. Other than that though, I will continue to be a weekly patron!

I went to see Django and it was on the Holiday. I was so taken back to find out that the tickets were so high and in addition they charge extra for the Holiday. How can you expect for single family and even two parents homes afford to have an day at the movies with the prices being as high as they are. And then lets not dicuss the recssion stand you can easily spend $30-50 bucks on popcorn and soda alone. I usually go to the cinemark in Mel rose park, il but being with my family we deciced to come there BIG MISTAKE!!. The whole evening cost me $125 for a family of 4. And did I mention that we seen the 5p.m show, which I thaught it was mantinee but I was told that there mantinee was the very first show of the day. I just had to express my concerns.

Worry-free reserved seating and rapid entry with online tickets is great. Its usually a very nice movie experience, BUT dont plan on wiping your hands in the rest rooms. Also, once the audience waited through 15 minutes of blank screen. Once, my reserved seat was strewn with greasy popcorn. After the movie, the manager was defensive. (A much more accommodating and savvy employee had allowed me to change seats without further delay). Most theaters typically give complimentary tickets for complaints. Zip, zero, nada.

Went for "Tuesday $5 night" which when u use the kiosk it comes up regular price of almost $11. Nobody around to ask for help until someone finally noticed us. Next we ordered the $3 pizza, which surprise, they dont have. But they had the $14 pizza, no thanks. I did see an employee sitting on a counter, very unprofessional, talking with the manager and one doing her homework, so thats why no one was there to help me buy tickets for the $5 price. It was dead in the theater and now i know why.

Great facility but poorly managed. Loved the leather reclining seats and seat arrangement! You could see the whole screen without anyones head in the way and there was plenty of room to walk down each row. Unfortunately they were ill prepared for the crowds. Only 3 of the 4 pop machines worked, then two of them ran out of Diet Coke, and the third broke down or something. They were out of nachos and hot dogs as well. Id go back but wouldnt plan on snacks : (

Worst customer service! Heaven forbid you buy tickets ahead online, two hours before the movie starts bc the limited seating, and have a sudden change of plans. Calling the theater to get a hold of someone is impossible, calling the online support will just send you to a line that plays music until you just hang up (I lasted 12mins). Needless to say, we had to find another babysitter last minute just so we didnt lose out on $24!! Ridiculous AMC!!

Holy expensive, Batman! We attended an IMAX showing of a movie and the screen did not appear any larger than other theaters, it was just much louder (I could clearly hear the dialog from the concession stand). The seating, which is assigned, was confined and you could not raise the armrests for more space. Want a free refill on your large popcorn? Join their super-secret club and get more spam in the process. Employees were very polite.

They are really investing more money to improve the theater. First time we sat in the leather seats, very nice. They just need to fix their premier stubs access, they had the rope for a separate line for members but no one was using it bc there wasnt a ticket agent for it. Plus the discounted movie tickets for members dont work at kiosks so you must wait in line. Still, I like the theater and screen, keep the improvements coming!

If you like sitting next to people then here you go. 9/10 times no matter what the movie is or how long its been out. You will most likely be sitting next to a person. The recliners are nice though. Just get the Amazon fire stick and you can look up how to access the movie for free. Yes it is pirated but you wont get in trouble. The people who supply it do. It will save you money and you can watch it at home.

I dont go to the movies often but this was okay. It could have been a lot cleaner here and it seemed really really empty. The soda machine was out of most flavors. I wished that the arm rests between the seats moved up. Still I got to see the movie with the boyfriend so its not that bad. And it had very few people in the theater where we were seated, too. Basically a private showing!

The improvements are nice, but inconvenient. You should always plan 8 to 10 hours before the movie, because they now have assigned seats. You pick your seat when you but. If you go to see a movie with someone in a spur of the moment idea, you wont be able to sit together. They is also a large decrease in capacity. With all these there obviously needs to be an increase in ticket prices.

This place gets very crowded! They sell out and if you dont get there crazy early you are sure to wind up sitting apart from your group or taking these ridiculously placed seats where you cant even watch the movie. Aside from that it IS a clean theater with tons of screens and showtimes. They are conveniently right off the expressway and they have comfortable seats.

Theater is great, ticket line moved fast. But the food line....horrible. For a Friday night you would think they would have more people working the concessions. We had to get out of line because we didnt want to miss any part of the movie and we were here a half hour early!! Now I know to come at least an hour before the movie even starts!!

Me and my cousin went to go see the new "it" and we had bought our tickets online and when we got there they said we couldnt see the movie because we arent old enough. We are both 16. So they said you cant see this movie and asked us to leave and they didnt even refund our money. No wonder why the amc stocks dropped so much.

Decent theater. Dont understand though why theaters in chicago, even ones outside of downtown, insist on bilking moviegoers for parking. Parking is only $2 but still, its the thought that turns me off. Also the theater staff gave me wrong info that you couldnt pay for parking outside the theater, which you can upon leaving.
