Being a movie finatic and moving to Batavia several years ago, I was excited when I found out we had an IMAX theater in town. Over the last several years I have seen countless movies at this theater and seen a couple Imax movies there as well. I must say this theater is one of the nicest, worst run theaters I will no longer go to. Here are a few of my major issues with the facilities. 1. Actually witnessed a fight in the theater during a viewing of "Dr. Strange" while with my young son (Not the theaters fault) They had to stop the film call the cops arrest the fighters and rewind the film. The managements response was to only give the jarred and shaken up movie goers free drink vouchers. Forget a free movie ticket. Worst movie day ever. 2. Projection systems in all auditoriums are out of date and at times out of focus. If you like seeing the pixels of their substandard resolution projectors you will like this theater. 3. Sound levels and quality of sound is inconsistent and at times terrible. Been in several movies where people had to complain to management to turn it up. Viewed "Star Wars Force Awakens" there and was shocked at how bad the sound was. It almost ruined the movie. In conclusion, You go to the movies to be entertained and you pay a decent price for that experience. It should be as perfect and as consistent as the theater can make it. ThIs theater falls way short of delivering that wow factor you expect when seeing movies. Completely inconsistent viewing experiences. The kind of stuff you would expect from 1980s theaters that actually ran film through their projectors. I asked a friend at work that grew up in Batavia, why this theater was so badly run and he noted that the entire theater is run by teenagers, right down the management. We now drive to Naperville to see movies.

This is by FAR the best theater within at least a 20-mile radius of this location. I consider myself a theater connoisseur and have patroned all theaters in the surrounding areas and throughout much of Michigan. They have a great staff, a quality facility, IMAX, digital projection, excellent sound, the most comfortable seats, the best popcorn (not served in paper bags), Pepsi (not that caramel testing Coke), and matinees all year long. When patrons enter and exit the theaters during the moves, the open door does not allow light to flash across the screen as some theaters in the area allow. The only area I see where they can improve is to occasionally do a walk-thru sound level check in each of their theaters, since I have heard patrons complain that the sound level during on-screen dialog is occasionally to low or too high.

They made a mess of the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. I would estimate that the temperature in the theater reached nearly 90 degrees. Asked them to turn up the A/C multiple times then had to leave because I was so uncomfortable. The manager that was on staff told myself and others that she cranked the A/C multiple times. A manager that called me later told me that the A/C was on an automated system, and shuts off at midnight. (Clearly a fundamental problem if youre doing a midnight showing, and also explains why i experienced a similar occurrence when I saw the Watchmen at midnight years earlier) He offered me free tickets to make up for it, which he never ended up sending. I doubt the issue has been resolved (see Watchmen comment above), and I no longer care, as I will not return to this theater.

We had a really strange time there. We went to see mike and dave need weddig dates. But the projector wasnt working. So we all ended up getting tickets to come back to see a different show. The manager handled the situation so well. You could tell she was incredibly nervous about what had happened, but she handled it very well. When we returned we seen bad moms (good movie too). They kept apologizing for the inconvenience but to me it just made our night more interesting. We didnt mind at all. Only thing we have a problem with is the prices of the food and drinks. But it is still a great theater I have visited since i was a child.

I really like going to this theater. I rarely have any sort of negative experience here and if I have, the management has always tried to make it right. I usually see 2 or 3 movies a month and their theaters are clean and well cared for. The seats are comfortable. The best part is they actually care about the movie viewing experience and what their customers see. The sound is generally good in most of the theaters and the pictures sharp and shown at the correct aspect ratio. Plus the IMAX theater has pre-assigned seating (you can choose) so theres no hassle saving seats on opening nights for te big movies.

I came here for IMAX which was visually great but the sound was way over the top loud. This happened a month or two ago, and then again last night. I hadnt come here on any other occasions between. During the opening trailers, I went out and asked them to turn it down just a little because it was so painful. They did, and it was perfectly loud, but then a few minutes into the movie it was turned back up. I wasnt the only one around me plugging my ears for most of the movie. Unfortunately, were going to have to find somewhere else to go for IMAX movies.

I was there this past weekend to view a movie that was rated R. Disappointed at the number of underage kids that were allowed into the theater. There was a large group of boys that were of middle school age that were allowed in without parents. This movie was not for children, and I do understand that some of the children were accompanied by adults there were many in the theater that were not with parents and should not have been there.

I love this theater. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The movie theaters are always clean and comfortable, and not too warm or cold. The concessions are always fresh. Ive been going to this theater since I moved to the area 11 years ago and I havent had one bad experience here.

The IMAX is amazing except that its too loud! Seriously it actually hurts my ears. The kids had to plug their ears through half the movie and it was just Beauty and the Beast. They have it turned up to 11 and it ruins the experience. Turn down the surround a notch. Leave the center as is.
