This review is way overdue; I had my wedding here in July 2012. At first, I was reluctant to book with Lake House based on some reviews from other websites. I thought it would be only fair that I told about my experience. I had an evening wedding and it STORMED all day. The staff had everything set up to have an inside ceremony. Getting closer to the start of the wedding, the weather started to clear up. Knowing how much it meant to my (then) fiance and I, the staff took the time to set up outside AFTER they had already set up inside. I had an outside wedding and everything was beautiful. The staff was EXCELLENT and attentive to our every need. They constantly asked if we needed anything without being pushy. Ramsey is a true professional and he knows his stuff. The food (and drinks) were good. They even ran to the store for us when they ran out of pineapple juice! Ms. Margaret is a sweetheart and she was very helpful. I think I called her a thousand times with questions and she answered all of them without frustration. You cannot go wrong with Lake House! Thank you Lake House & staff for making our day special. I am still getting compliments about my wedding.

My daughters wedding was held at the Lake House on June 21, 2014. The couple had a good experience; however, the logistics behind the scene and other issues did not make for a good experience - for example, the food that should have been given to the guests were eaten and taken by the kitchen staff. How does a buffet become limited on servings when it just opened? We were served tea, water, lemonade, and soda in plastic cups usually used for alcoholic drinks. The "professional" cake cutters were "professional" at butchering both cakes. Other logistics that staff assured me would be taken care of never happened, such as ensuring that all parties needing to speak during the wedding would have a mic. Not to mention how the staff failed to agree to relay the same lie to us during rehearsal. It is unacceptable how Lake House treated this local celebritys special occasion. I paid full price for substandard treatment.

I recently had my wedding and reception at Lake House. The staff at Lake House made planning my wedding and reception seamless. They were so accommodating and willing to do anything I asked. I really appreciate their patience as I called numerous times after my initial visit to make changes and updates to the original plan. Our guests are all talking about the beautiful facility and the great time they had. The only complaint I have is the food. Being that we live in Louisiana, I expected the food to be more tasteful, with Cajun spices and seasonings, but we all found the food to be bland. However, everything else was great!
