I live full-time in the area and have gone to this Regal before. Today was the worst ever. It was well over 100 degrees outside and there was a long line to purchase tickets BECAUSE there was only one person selling them in a room with three windows. Finally after people started complaining someone from inside came out and started selling tickets. This left the inside area unattended where you normally would hand someone your ticket. From there we went to the food area where again long lines and only 3 people working the counters that were designed for double that. The employees acted like they were in slow motion. About the time I got up to the counter they ran OUT of popcorn. How do you run out of popcorn in the movie theatre that gets its profits from popcorn and drinks? Finally a guy came running out from some backroom area with a 50 lb bag of popcorn and started working on getting it popped. By this time I was going to be late for my movie and I arrived 20 minutes early so I left the line and never purchased any snacks. Now I ask you how much did Regal lose on a family of 4 by this inadequate scheduling of employees? I will NOT go back to this theatre. I did not see a manager anywhere or anyone that was trying to fix the horrible service.

This used to be one of the better theaters in the valley, but as of the writing of this review it hasnt been renovated or updated since it was introduced, besides the addition of a single, rather underwhelming iMax screen. (I think they also are fully digital versus using film now, but that doesnt really make a noticeable difference for most customers) Many competing theaters have added luxury seating with plenty of armrest room and mechanized reclining seats, and the patrons of this theater are still confined to traditional theater seating. The other annoyance is that the low fequencies (bass, rumbling, etc) had an annoying habit of bleeding through from adjacent auditoriums, which can be pretty disruptive if youre at a quiet part of your film and the film next door had an action sequence going. One of these days Im sure that this place will renovate and at that time they will be as good as the Pickford in Cathedral City and the Century in La Quinta. For now however, I only go here if the other choices are sold out.

I like this theatre. I have nothing in the desert to compare it to. But I havent felt the need to go to another theatre. I first came here for Star Wars. Even though the IMAX screen is a little smaller than what I am used to (like the huge one at Disneyland); it still satisfies for a good Sci-Fi flick like Star Wars. I like the stadium seating and the sound is a little louder than I like, but not so much that I want to plug my ears. The seats are comfy enough and theatre is usually relatively clean and new-ish. The ticket girls are always nice and the staff is satisfactory. I bring my own popcorn, etc. so I cannot comment on the concessions... Not a bad theatre to go to...

Although its close with ample parking and a good selection of films, I avoid this theater. In spite of their reminders about talking, texting (that distracting bright light in a dark theater) cell phones, several times during the film a staff member comes down the aisle swinging a flash light with a big red light. They walk across the theater below the screen and stand there for a while. No chance of being swept away into the other reality of a great movie here! When I complained the manager explained that they wanted to make their presence felt. They sure do, but why I asked. Policy was that answer. Id love to know if this bothers anyone else.

Compared to the other cinemas in the valley this theater ranks on the low end with horrible uncomfortable seating and rude employees. If you must go for the mere freeway convenience, make sure you catch an early show, because if your caught during closing time, the A/C goes off and youll end up in a virtual dry sauna theater, sweating with everyone else who paid to watch a movie. ...and whats with all the tv and product ad commercials that have nothing to do with cinema? If anything, Regal theaters should be cutting ticket prices if were gonna be bombarded with ads and network broadcasts.

If using a Tom Tom GPS to find this place then the address given is wrong, the house number should be 72777 with no space in the house number. Nevertheless this Regal Cinema is easily located off the I-10 and parking is ample. We were staying in Indio, and the drive is barely 20 minutes. We were impressed with the cleanliness throughout, and would mark it up as a holiday maker or visitors destination if you are thinking of going out to the cinema, but do not want the hassle of finding the place, or wondering if it is a safe place. We took the kids and had a great time.

Although very attractive on the outside, you would think that the inside would be just as attractive. Not true. Staff was not friendly, the popcorn was so STALE that my husband wanted to return it for a fresher batch. When we got the second bucket, it was just as stale!!! I noticed that the popcorn machines were not in use which leads me to believe that it is popped before hand and packaged. God only knows how long it has been sitting before we bought it.

Saw "La La Land" there, next to another screen where they were playing some kind of loud action movie. The rumbling of the movie next door was very disruptive to my viewing experience. I dont know if this is normal but I think usually theater screens are more insulated from each other. I would definitely not go back to this theater to see a less noisy movie like "La La Land". I couldnt enjoy it with all the noise from the movie next door.

We saw the American Sniper today and arrived early. Watching the pre- show advertising was not an experience we liked. I did not pay to see advertising that should have been in a X- rate showing. Perhaps you should screen the ads prior to general viewing. This was not in good taste. Betty D

There are fancier theatres in the desert, however this has ample parking, good staff, and always plays the movies you want to see. The lines move quickly and the theatres generally have availability where you can find a seat with a group.

I absolutely love this theatre. I do think the prices at the concession stand are a bit to high..for two drinks and a small popcorn is more than we pay for 2 tickets.. but I love this place it had great customer service!

The 3d Imax is amazing. The seats are comfy. You get an assigned seat so if you are early you can pick a good seat and if you are late you are stuck with whats left. Fair. Refills on popcorn and drinks. Love this place

I agree with the later2 comments. Those are very true, and yes ticket prices should obviously go down. Your employees are very rude. Please improve someone soon. If not for your customers then for youre theater.
