My 5 year old daughter and 61 other young children went here to see Home, a cute little kids movie. The field trip was planned 2 weeks in advance and when they got there my childs daycare had been marked off the list for a larger crowd that showed up unannounced. They sent the group of children average age 6 or so to see Perfect Pitch 2,a highly inappropriate PG-13 movie. They were also supposed to serve the children snacks and drinks which they were asked to go get during the movie in pitch black. Mind you in any other theatre a planned field trip would be served in theatre and it would not be so dark the chaperones cant see the children. They left early after finding out just how vulgar the movie was and were never offered a refund. Do not go here or youre supporting a shady business.

This is a second-run movie theater, meaning they show films that have been in theaters for a while at a discounted price. The picture and sound quality has improved now that they are using digital projectors and moved away from the 35mm film. The theaters are comfortable. Athough on occasions I found some of the fold down seats broken so I move to the next one. The theater does have musty smell either from the seats or carpeting. Concessions has a good selection and at a fair price. For the price of admission ($4) its a fair deal to catch a movie for the last time on the big screen before it goes to DVD.

Its tough for me to say how the movie theater is because my wife and I werent let in. After buying a Groupon and having it expire, we still had $16 credit and wanted two tickets, two popcorns and two drinks, which the $16 would have covered. Except, they said their management is denying accepting the $16 credit, except for concessions. What kind of customer service is it to deny a customer who has already paid money the ability to watch a movie...at a movie theater. Needless to say, we wont ever be spending money there and will be getting our money refunded through Groupon.

They only take cash, this is not my main complaint but it is annoying. My problem with this theater is the awful employees it has working there. My family and I went inside to buy tickets, bc there isnt anyone at the main ticket booth, and the two men behind the counter told us that we would have to wait over 25 minutes to buy tickets. They normally sell tickets inside at the consessions counter but the men refused to sell tickets bc it wasnt his job at that time. Horribly rude. This place has really gone done hill!

Great movies and refills on your popcorn! ! Sadly to say its Under New Ownership and there as of two weeks ago. Very few, and I am serious Very few of the Original employees are Left There.5 Are left. The others were Fantastic people. Dont know how much longer its going to be open and for that matter be around. Not only that, the "Management, is Over there Head"! You all that have been rating this Location, revisit it again, and make your own opinions and critics. Have fun.

Never seen a business so reluctant to take my money. Came in at 6pm for a 6:30pm show and was told they are not selling tickets until 6:15pm. Fine, played some games when back to the unmarked counter to the same multicolored haired girl to order my tickets only to be told I have to step to another line to buy my tickets... This place really needs to mark where they want people to line up and when they plan to sell tickets.

A Tallahassee Treasure The great and wonderful Hal has been involved or running this place for over two decades now. Ive seen hundreds of films here. Lowest ticket prices around for the movie going experience. Any problem Ive had has been with a rude fellow patron being loud or obnoxious, yet staff have always been attentive when needed. Run by a real movie buff for families to be able to afford a night out.

Glad to see that Hal (The owner for over 11 years) is back. The theater looks nice and much cleaner. The tickets and concession are cheaper as well. Tickets are $3 and food is under $5, $2 being the cheapest. The people are soooooo nice, and the popcorn was fresh. The recent owner clearly did not know what they were doing. The only cons are they accept cash only.

My girlfriend and I go to Movies 8 almost every Sunday. Its a super cozy place, where you can enjoy a movie for $3 on a big screen rather than just streaming it on a small laptop or TV monitor. The staff is always friendly, specially the gentlemen that typically take your tickets. Highly recommend going there when your movies arent on the big theaters anymore.

The new owner and manager of this place has done a tremendous job on improving your movie going experience here at this theater! I love the staff and the quality/price of concessions. Every time I go, which is frequent, I see more and more improvements made. Go here, Tallahassee!! Support local businesses--especially those who truly deserve it. Boom!

Been going to this movie theater for 20 years, Great place for a cheap date, free refill on large popcorn and drink. The price of the movies went up due to digital projection, so it cost four dollars to see a movie now. Still way cheaper than AMC or regal. If you want to see something on the big screen and youre willing to wait, this is your place.

My husband and I will go here sometimes if we want something cheap to do. I have seen some cool movies here over the years. They get to play blockbuster and some independent movies that played in regular theaters in the last cycle of movies. Admission is always between 3 and 5 dollars per adult. They only accept cash but there is an ATM.

This is really a hidden gem. They show older movies for super cheap, but are cash only. The concessions are a little slow sometimes, but overall the staff are always friendly and the theaters are always clean. I strongly recommend looking into some of their special events, like kids movies and Rocky Horror Picture Show nights.

Provides a small down-to-earth feel without all the extravagance of a big name theater. Welcoming staff, very cheap movie tickets, average food prices. Would recommend to someone who doesnt have to see the movie when it first comes out. Also someone who likes to go to the movie theater but doesnt want to have to pay a lot.

Omg this place has like no Starbucks. Gurlllll these people be trippin if they dont got me dat banana bread loaf. Like dayum! They dont even let me bring my own lotion and tissues! How am I supposed to wipe my tears from crying so hard from watchin friggin Marlie and me and moisturize my toezzzz. AMC 20 is da sheet!

The New Management is wonderful! Great staff and nice updates concessions. Waiting for the new and improved theatre. Out with movies 8...in with Movies Plus. Im sure there are great things to come and I am looking forward to visiting and enjoying a great family outing there more often!! ❤️❤️❤️

Movies on weekends are $2. I rarely have time to see movies while in the main theater so this has become my go-to. Pros: cheap movies and food; large auditoriums. Cons: old, musty smell and the seats arent particularly comfortable.
