Been going to this theater since it opened. Actually watched it being built. In the early years it was a great place, super clean, very professional staff, etc. However in the past few years its gone down hill fast!.. The ticket booth is rarely open and you have to buy tickets at the concession stand. The marques in the lobby telling you when to enter your theater are never updated. The marques identifying the moving playing in each individual theater are usually wrong. There is rarely anyone to take your ticket stub. I almost feel like I could walk into this place and go to any theater without paying for anything. I dont even think the management would care. Several years ago, I went to see Spider Man, when the movie started we got a kids cartoon about surfing penguins. Had to complain to management to correct the film, still took 15 minutes to find someone who could do it. On the good side the screens are large and seats are comfortable. Getting a good seat is rarely a problem as Ive never seen a theater here with more than 25 people in it. Even when I went to see Star Wars The Force Awakens on opening day. That should tell you something. (Update) This theater has recently been bought out by AMC. Ive always preferred AMC theaters over Carmike. Since the switch Ive been here about 3 times. I will say the most recent visit I have seen some improvement in the staff and I think they are trying to bring it up to AMC standards. They still have a way to go. One of the girls working the concession stand mentioned they are planning on getting new seats as all the old ones still have the Carmike Cinema logo embroidered onto them. This would be a welcome improvement. I hope the change in management can bring this place back to life.

This theater is pretty convenient for my family and I to go to because its right down the street. Its family oriented and usually easy on the pockets with their prices compared to surrounding theaters. However, some improvements are needed. Do not expect cozy seats that lay back like the newer theaters. In fact, their seats are quite uncomfortable and could use an upgraded. I dont expect superb customer service from movie theaters usually because it is typically mostly teenagers who are hired but they could try to smile and be more upbeat. The last thing is it stinks in the theater... Really disgusting old stale popcorn smell. The floors were sticky as well. Not a major problem for a married couple with kids tryout to save a few bucks but wouldnt suggest bringing your date their to make a good impression.

I absolutely hate that they turned this theater into an AMC rather than leaving it at Stonecrest, and because of the STUBS membership benefits it just makes sense to go to an AMC. The theater is NEVER clean! It has a urine/mildew/musky/moldy smell and always has. I Lysol spray the seats before my children and I sit because if youve ever actually looked at the seats when the lights come on it is filthy. Its also more expensive on the weekends which wasnt the case at Stonecrest. You pay all this money for a ticket and then there is NEVER anyone there to take the ticket you paid for so you may as well just walk in!

My cousin believed she left her wallet behind in one of the theaters, so I told her to call and check. Someone who works there told her she had to come to the theaters and check for herself. So I call to speak to a manager and and the guy who answered wanted to know why and refused to let me speak to a manager. He also told me to come to the theater to check myself. No one bothered to ask us which theater number we were in or offered to look. I know its a busy establishment but we called on a week day, not a weekend. I dont understand why I coudnt speak to a manager, or why we were rushed off the phone.

The movie experience itself was very good. However I do have a couple of issues. First of all was the ads. The movie was scheduled at 12:15. There was one ad after another till 12:38. With that many ads I should expect a lower ticket price. The problem I really had with the ads was the sound. It was ear splitting. WAY TOO LOUD. I suspect the volume would not pass OSHA limits!!! Cut it in half! I am sure I would enjoy the fewer ads if my ears did not hurt. I was suggesting to my wife we leave when the movie finally started because of the loudness. This is what keeps me from coming more frequently.

I love the big size and the surrounding area, but its definitely time for renovations to be made. Heres why: 1. The Mens restroom has a huge crack in the mirror which was tapped. 2.The carpet is starting to fade throughout the building 3. Seats are noticeably worn out and dirty particularly in smaller theaters throughout the building. 4. Theres a horrid mildew odor thats bearable, sometimes not. 5. Lobby looks outdated. 6. Most teeange employees are mature, but easily frustrated in situations. 7. Ticket prices are higher than the competing theaters in the area.

I purchased tickets online not realizing that this Car Mike Theater has changed to AMC , I get to Stone Crest AMC , just to find out this is the wrong theater at the movie time. I tried to call to swap theaters , & got the run around & the refuse to refund my money for services I didnt even use , Ive been in the phone for over an hour waiting on a human response , & when I get a manager on the phone theyre just rude an , there trying to get theyre theater credit for something that I didnt even get to see there.

While the staff is fine, and the theater is clean, this absolutely the worst run theater Ive ever seen. Movies in the wrong theater, no sound, lights remaining on when movie starts, seats still wet from cleaning the day before, curtains closing while movie running, movie not starting on time, etc. etc. etc. My wife and I have a guessing game of what will go wrong every time we go. Approximately 70 percent of the time, something goes wrong. That said, its the closest theater to us, so we keep going there.

Please be careful if you are of a MINORITY race and decided to attend this theatre!!! Me and my best friend went on this past Friday (3/11/11) and the caucasian teenage male literally DROPPED her change into her hand. He rushed us into ordering, and charged us $4.50 for a KIDDIE cup of Coke, AND THEN would NOT take her money from hand-to-hand contact, as though we were diseased!! I cannot believe that people are still like this in America! I wont EVER return! Im STILL upset and its 48 hours later!

Quite Possibly the worst theater I have been to. And this review is based off of several visits, 10+. The staffs appearance is usually untidy and unprofessional. Which is expected when you see the management. The seats are grimy and feel like they have never been cleaned or disinfected. Unfortunately it is the only theater around and they present themselves knowing this. We avoid this theater at all costs and attempt to see movies elsewhere if possible.

Its a movie theater and it plays movies, the good ends about there. Service is mediocre and prices are typical movie theater prices (in other words concessions are stupid expensive, but that is expected). Recently waited about 15 minutes after the start time for Star trek Beyond (opening weekend matinee), fortunately the movie started right off instead of the usual flood of previews. Nothing special about this place at all.
