We visit St. Augustine a few times a year and find ourselves wanting to get further and further away from the main downtown which is becoming more and more difficult to enjoy with the number of people begging and the typical crowds drinking and being obnoxious in many of the places. Theres so much more to this town then that. We were headed to the beach and found public parking at this cafe. I went inside just to make sure I didnt read the sign wrong. The staff there were so sweet and friendly. We initially just got a couple smoothies to take to the beach which were fantastic. We came back after a couple hours and had lunch there. The food was absolutely fantastic. Their mac & cheese is a must try... super creamy which is nice departure from the standard casserole type you get a lot nowadays. DO NOT MISS THE COOKIES! They were so good I ordered a dozen which they actually made fresh for me while we ate. The place was clean, well staffed, and the food was all great. Everybody who worked there were just over the top nice, friendly, and accommodating. This is going to be a go-to stop each time we visit.

We used Cafe Elevens catering services for our motorhome club rally. We had a 5 day Rally in St Augustine and I was responsible for several meals. Living several states away and having never been to St Augustine I had to rely on the internet to find someone to serve three breakfasts and three dinners with good variety, affordable costs, and the willingness to come to the campground to serve us. Thankfully I picked Cafe Eleven, run by Carol Ann Curley. Her website gave me the menu choices and the costs involved. From my first phone call to the last breakfast of our Rally Carol Ann was extremely helpful, easy to work with and full of suggestions. She e-mailed me quotes for the menus I selected. I told her we may have 40-50 people, and the final deadline count was 95. She handled it well. We asked Carol if she and her staff could start the first breakfast a little earlier than planned so we could keep our trolley schedule and that was fine. Everyone liked the food and there was plenty to go around. It was a pleasure working with Cafe Eleven and I highly recommend them.

I wanted to like this place. Probably been there 20+ times over the last 10 years. Always really drab to take lunch dates here. Its really boring to just come out here, buy food and coffee and relax by myself. It doesnt have a cafe atmosphere. The ingredients are obviously low grade, so it is hardly a guilty pleasure must-have dining experience. Even when I get healthy items, I always feel really dirty afterwards. I struggle to understand why people would come here. They really want an OK sandwich on the beach? Is it the breakfast buffet thing they do that inflates the reviews? The employees are nice and thats the only positive thing to say. If you arent going to the breakfast buffet, I would look past this joint for another sandwich spot.

Its a decent little venue, but whoever is running the sound I think believes in just turning everything up about as loud as itll go. Watched the Blair Crimmins show tonight, and the band is doing terrific things on stage with trumpet, banjo, clarinet, etc - but all you heard a lot of the time was noise because of how loud all the speakers were turned up. Plus even when you *could* potentially hear a solo or something, the specific instrument (clarinet & guitar in this case) were turned way low in comparison to everything else, so you really couldnt hear them. I dont know why the sound person does this. Maybe theyre half-deaf and they dont realize its that loud. Either way, they made great music into painful music.

This might be great as an indie-rock coffee bar, but as a restaurant it fails on every level. The hostesses cannot agree on any seating arrangement; we were told to grab a table, then told it was reserved, then told they dont do reservations. When we finally got a table and got drinks, they ran out of mugs. At the buffet, they ran out of bacon. At the end of the buffet, they ran out of *forks*. We ordered a custom omelette and after 90 minutes of waiting, we gave up on it (they hadnt even started on it by then). I ended up getting 5 (cold) sausage links because thats all I could eat with my fingers. Terrible food, nonexistent service, and pretentious decor make this one of the worst places Ive ever eaten.

I have been going to this establishment for years and have yet to have a bad experience. Their food is consistently fresh and tasty. Their service is friendly and even personal when time allows it. Their concerts are the main reason I frequent this establishment. The varying genres and amazing artists they bring to this cozy venue constantly amazes me. The crowd is typically attentive to the artist (stand closer to the stage to avoid the talkers) and the quality of the sound has greatly improved over the last year. I have always felt that my money was more than well spent and look forward to attending the next event.

Neat, hip place with very good traditional breakfast fare. We ate here on our way out of town and it was perfect for a good cup of coffee and a quick breakfast. The price was very reasonable especially when compared to the many overpriced tourist trap restaurants in downtown St. Augustine. The eggs Benedict were really solid and absolutely smothered in hollandaise sauce. My wife had a waffle which she said was just okay, but the fresh strawberries on top were quite good. Service came with a friendly smile was very fast as well. Would definitely come back.

Its casual, informal. Sit where you want. Food is excellent. Not a bar which every place else along the beach seems to be. Entertainment is not always to my liking, but the acts I do go and see are great and the price is worth every penny. You can ignore the 2010 reviews...it was briefly owned by someone who didnt know customer service and good food. It is back to being the ORIGINAL Cafe 11 we all love. Somethings not right, theyll fix it...cheerfully. I recommend you give it a try. I dont think youll be disappointed.

Food is always gross. Been back 3 times because some of my hipster friends swear up and down they "love it." Yesterday I got the veggie quesadilla and it didnt have half the ingredients on it as was described (no black beans salsa or sour cream) but I got it to go so didnt realize it was basically just cheese and onions until I got it home. The coffee was delicious and the girl taking my order was sweet if not a little stressed. Im only going back if a must see concert is scheduled there. Disappointing :/

The weekend hours say 7AM open and there is a second sign that say weekend breakfast buffet 8am till 1pm. So we went in @ 7 on a sunday, just wanting to order a traditional breakfast. But, when we went in the staff informed us that they only served a breakfast buffet on the weekends and it wouldnt be ready until 8am. I am not real sure why they open @ 7 if they dont serve anything until 8am? Needless to say we left and cant imagine Ill be back during a weekend.
