First of all theyre mixing a tiki hut atmosphere outside which is delightful until you go into the Gastro Pub take the name as a reason why I gave this only one star the inside was filthy and theyre trying to think its a five-star restaurant as there was no prices on the menus normally if youre restaurant connoisseur they would greet you at the door and hand the gentleman with a menu of pricing and the woman no pricing they need to stick to one or the other our meal was horrendous not to mention it was over $50 and we just ordered lunch items and two sodas the place was filthy and a bug fell on my husbands hat I have no idea what type of bug it was I grabbed a napkin and smashed it and blood came out!!! It was not a tic! Needless to say after seeing that we were disgusted stick to the Tiki Bar no one greeted us we were the only ones in there the bartenders and everybody else were just goofing off finally we just grabbed her own menus and sat down waitress was rude like she didnt want to be there hence the atmosphere Im surprised everyone wasnt wearing Hazard suits my suggestion yuck, wondering if theyve dusted the ceiling yet there was things coming out of those vents that would make a coroner hurl I do agree with the other reviews the tiki Hots outside are your best bet the inside or the dining area where there is a bar but I guess that was the dining area the food looks nothing like the pictures on this website I wish I would have taken a picture of what my husband ordered it was fish I think with four muscles the muscles didnt even look like muscles they look like something you had pulled out of your nose after youve been dead for about 6 months Im not kidding Gastro Pub is a good name for that dining room for after a few bites you will be headed towards the head with gastro pain! And after the experience I chose not to use the bathroom it frightened me and before my husband and I got in our car I have long hair I took it out of the braids and shook us off didnt want to bring anything home with me! Eww!

My wife, an interior design fan, loved the decor, but not sure how it ties to the name of the restaurant nor the names of the menu items. That aside, we went there for a family birthday and had some friends recommend it so we were really looking forward to a nice meal but sadly were severely disappointed. Please note that at before dessert was ordered the waitress did ask what we thought and this is what i told her... Service: was good early on but then weak. Bottles and glasses were not removed when new ones were served. The wrong appetizer came out. One dish had the wrong side dish. The waitress reaction to all of saying it was very cold was "really?" Sorry that should have been "ok I will see what I can do." Also note when asked what was really good she said "everything except the crab cakes." The Food: my son loved the lobster mac and cheese and it was tasty. my kokomo sliders were the saltiest thing i have ever eaten. I couldnt finish.: My daughters jalapeno/queso burger somehow came out sweet instead of spicy. my wifes portobello burger was bland. and our wonton appetizer had no flavor at all. The brownie sundae dessert was enjoyed and the waitress reaction was "yeah we got one right." That summed it up. p.s. thanks to the diner who vomited in the ladies room sink and didnt tell anyone and left it for my daughter to find.

Based on the last experience, terrible. Went for brunch and the bloody Mary bar Ive heard so much about. We arrived 30 min before brunch was supposed to end. Went to the brunch buffet as they were starting to break it down. When asked if they were going to replenish some of the items that were out, the employee completely ignored us. What I can assume was a manager, wearing a black Polo and looking important, informed us that they would have had more food out if we had arrived a lot earlier! We still had 20 minutes until the advertised brunch was supposed to be over!!! Service was so slow, I think our server was high, he came to check on us one team and due to that, only got one refill on our unlimited mimosas. The bloody Mary bar was nice, but many of the garnishes were old and not cold any more. We will not be going back ever.

When I first started coming here it was called something else and it did not impress at all. Ever since they revamped the menu/atmosphere, the flavor of their food is impeccable. My compliments to the chef! THE BEST sweet potato fries I have ever had in ormond beach. Seriously. Quite possibly the best lamb burger I have ever had out as well. Their drinks are really good as well. The only thing I dont like is the wafts of cigar smoke coming from the outdoor bar, but inside is a really nice safe place from second hand. I would definitely recommend this place for pizza or burgers or drinks with friends and family. They have certainly upgraded from the caffeine days beyond my expectations. Visited about 10 times and never got disappointed in any way.

This place is very consistent in its service. The food is always fresh. The special drinks are invigorating. We have been coming here for the last few years when I visit my parents in Flagler Beach and the experience is on par all the time. Rob our server knew the drink & food menu perfectly and had great suggestions when we asked for help trying different dishes. This time around we ordered the pork wings, the Poke nachos and lobster grilled cheese, OMG!! Amazing! The lamb Berger and grilled chicken with salad is also a must try. Dont forget to go inside the Gastro Pub from the Kona Tiki Bar to check out the cool Universal Monster art work on the walls. Come to Ormond and check out this little spectacular gem just of of A1A.

Weve been coming to Grind since it was Caffeine, and the Tiki bar didnt have a roof and the tiki torches had real flames. Good food, drinks, beer selection, service, at a reasonable price. We like the atmosphere both inside and outside, and have even endured rain storms to listen to some of the live musicians. Weve had catered affairs in the barrel room and were not disappointed in either food or service, one time having a buffet, another allowing guests to order from a fixed menu. If you receive an invite to attend a free tasting, definitely go, free food and alcohol - cant go wrong. Its our favorite local spot and the go to place to impress out of town friends at a reasonable price.

Be weary of reserving the party rooms (the wine cellar and boardroom). My close friend reserved the wine cellar room a month in advance for her college graduation party and went back in to double check on her reservation four days prior to the event. Upon arriving at Grind we were shocked to find that they double booked the room and had already given it away to another party. It was completely unprofessional. They then put us in the much smaller board room and barely made an effort to compensate us. We were there to have a celebration for our friend who just put herself through college and they made her cry. I highly suggest you dont have a party there.
