BLOWS MY MIND!!!! I go to St Aug about 3 times a year...get hotel room, spend lots of money, "sample" margaritas. Take a friend who needs the escape. I normally have a great time at Tradewinds. They have great margaritas, the price is right and usually have live music. I have racked my brain trying to figure out why they were so rude to me this time...????? Only thing I can figure is the waitress was crushing on the fellow sitting in front of me and I was cutting up with him. I had two Margs..bought two at bar ($7.00) and two from waitress. The waitress was taking a while so I went to bar to get another and bartender informed me that waitress was on way back to me..okay. Went back to table. She arrived, I paid for drinks with a $10.00. She left. Ten mins later or so she had not returned with my change so I went to her and asked her for change so she gave me $2.00 back (not very politely I might add). I POLITELY advised her that the bar had only charged me $7.00 (btw..tipped bartender $3), and she informed me that they must have made mistake...and returned my other dollar. BS!!! There was another issue as well....I have recently injured my butt bone, so it is quite painful to sit down, so I was sorta squatting on my chair. The waitress barked at me to sit down "propperly". I proceeded to turn chair around, where back is in fron of me, again, to relieve the pressure from my butt bone. She returned to inform me to sit down in chair correctly (which I did immediately), at which time I did inform her (very POLITELY) that the reason that I was sitting like I was was because of a butt bone injury, she snarled, spun around and left. I am normally a VERY good tipper, have lots of fun, never bother anyone, always try to go out of my way to make sure people around me are enjoying themselves. I am a comedian at heart, I cut up, and usually get along with everybody....I still cant figure why this lady was so angry and rude to me...really just blows my mind!!!.??????

The rudest experience i have ever had!! Went Saturday with my husband, father in law and grandmother in law paid 8 bucks to get in. The place was PACKED. There was only one straight shot to the bar which happened to be right in front of the service station. There was nowhere else to go. NO ROOM ANYWHERE. The waitress pushed me out of the way pushed my father in law out of her way and pushed my husband. My husband which speaks his mind but could have said worse told her that that was rude. The waitress immediately overreacted literally got close enough to his face to knock his hat off yelled that it was the service station and at the top of her lungs told him one more word and your out. My husband confused said what..? Seconds later the bouncer was on him telling him he needed to leave. We had just been served our beers and were informed we could not leave with them. Chug them or leave them. On my way out it was so over capacity that i had to stand in between this older couple to let people by. I was so close to them there was 0 space between our bodies.I was very uncomfortable. We were there for about 5 minutes before we got kicked out for no reason besides the waitress obviously couldnt handle the stress of the big crowd. Ive worked for customer service all my life and there was no justifying her bad attitude and poor handling of the situation. Needless to say we spent 25 bucks in 5 minutes and couldnt enjoy it. I can take my downfalls but this one was just ridiculous.

I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME THAT I MET VICTIM #2. THEY POUR A VERY GOOD DRINK. TRY THE BLOODY MARYS. THEIR FAULT.I MET MY 2ND SPOUSE (1989) THERE DURING PALM SUNDAY. THEY HAVE A FULL AGENDA OF THE BEST BANDS, ALL DAY LONG. THEY BANDS CHANGE EVERY HOUR. THEY HAD TO MAKE IT FUN AND LIVELY. WHICH MADE ME STAY. THERE HE WAS. THEIR FAULT. HIS BROTHER PLAYED IN ONE OF THE BANDS. I SAW HIM AGAIN, IN ERROR AT THE TRADEWINDS DURING EASTER SUNDAY. AGAIN WITH THE BANDS AFTER THE EASTER PARADE. THE BANDS ARE TRADITION, THE HUSBAND NOT SO MUCH. I FORGIVE (JANET AND FAMILY) FOR MY STUPIDITY TO RETURN TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME. I WAS DIVORCED IN 2008. Had the chance to stop by here on a vacation and it was quite the experience. I didnt have anything special to drink so I cant say how the cocktails are, although other patrons seemed to be enjoying them quite a bit. The live music however was awesome. They were getting the crowd involved, playing great music, and generally were enthusiastic about playing there. The decor is quite intricate with things all over the walls. I could have spent hours there just looking at the walls. Seems like there was quite a bit of history there, which seems appropriate because it is the oldest lounge in the oldest town. Definitely a great place to stop if youre in the are.

Great live music!! Played great covers and really got the crowd going. There was a $2 cover. They do have a small dance area. Tried the Rum Punch special, good drink. Prices seemed very reasonable. Was busy when we arrived, but found couple of seats at the bar after about 10 minutes. Once we sat down bartender was very attentive to us and getting us drinks when empty. Just an FYI, you are able to smoke in the bar. So this can be a positive or negative depending which side you fall on. All in all we had a really good time and would go back.

Had a blast mantanzas band was great all saint augustine bsnds are great. Get a chance to see dewy via chris mcveigh see them most talented guitarist i have heard yet service was great beer ice cold wife jad fuzzy navels said was the best yet. Met spme new great friends carol the birthday girl aug 11 and her talented 2 friends who went on stage witth the band very talented from palatka fl thanks trsdewinds are new hangout along with mi casa cafe ohh yaa and both are in beautiful saint augustine fl

This venue reminds me of an old movie set. Its decorated with awesome stuff all over the walls and from what I hear also has a rich history. Its been held as the oldest lounge in America given its in the nations first city. Casual nights here include cheap drinks and live bands that interact with the crowd. The bands here play a variety of music, but mostly country. Nice play to stop by, but I probably wouldnt revisit.

Service last night was exceptionally rude. I brought in a few friends with me. We were stopped by a waitress with a scorn on her face. She stood in front of us and tapped her toes, rolling her eyes, while we gave her our drink order and showed proof of age (We are all in our thirties). Half way through the order, we decided to leave because our waitress snapped at us. Wont be back! Very Unprofessional.
