First I want to state that the waitress was perfectly friendly and attentive. Id also like to state that perhaps my expectations were WAY off, but this is easily the worst dinner out I have ever had. The wine is about what you would expect from a $10 bottle from a grocery store. We got a flight of all the dries and every single one tasted cheap. Later on after dinner I had a bit of a reaction that I only have after drinking bad wine. Our appetizer of tapenade and hummus was straight from a jar and the crackers were from a bag from GFS. And it was served on a plastic plate. Yes, plastic, like at a backyard barbecue. This was the best part of the meal. Salads were iceberg lettuce and "house" dressing, served with a whitebread roll. Ive had these all before; I guarantee they are from GFS or a similar supplier. Entrees were simply bad, especially for the price. I had the pork chop, which was supposedly from a local farm. The meat was okay, if kind of dry, but it was topped with a corn syrupy BBQ sauce that I can only describe as cheap. It reminded me of the same things Id have in my high school cafeteria. My wife had crab cakes that were scooped from a jar of pre-made crab cake batter, sautéed, and left to swim in thousand island dressing. Both entrees were served with GFS frozen "Caribbean vegetables" and mashed potatoes. And it was all SERVED ON PLASTIC PLATES. Im not making this up. The outside area is nice, but it was all reserved and we had to sit inside with the baby boomer funk/rock band. This winery could be so much better. The grounds are nice enough, but the quality is simply not there. I could not recommend Grand River Cellars even a little bit. You dont have to look much further in the area to have a far superior dining experience. Laurentia is close and we really enjoyed that.

Took my girlfriend there for mothers day. Ordered two steaks Medium. Half of mine was cooked, the other half, I could taste the iron in the blood. My girlfriend took one bite and again, it was totally raw. They recooked hers, mine I just left there. The shrimp for the shrimp cocktail was a dirty white color, didnt look good at all. Finding a waitress was a chore as well. I cannot blame the waitresses there, I must blame the management staff. They were way short on the staffing needs. If you are looking for good wine, nice location, I would recommend it. If you want to have a nice dinner with your wine, I would NOT recommend this place. It would have been nice to at most get a "sorry for the poor food quality" but all we got was a bill for over $60. It was really a bummer too. I really had high hopes for this place.

Plenty of choices from dry to sweet to ice wine. Great indoor atmosphere and outdoor patio for the warmer weather. Ice wine festival in the late winter is extraordinary. Also love their dessert port wine! Also have two types of flights: dry to semi-dry and semi-sweet to sweet. Flights are priced pretty well. Decent food selection too from Brie plate to burgers. First stop on our personal wine tour when we come out here a few times a year. Never a disappointment!

We were there on a Thursday night and the patio was packed. ( there was an excellent musician playing soft music). We had the dry red and white sampler. Most were pleasant to good but the Grand Red and the Cask 1016 were excellent. The waitstaff was attentive and fun! We had a pizza which was a perfect compliment to the wine. Dont let the 1 star reviews mislead you, this is a great place to drink wine and have a bite to eat.

Wait staff was friendly and atmosphere was fine (we ate inside, outside seemed very nice). The food however was very poor quality, especially for the price. All the food was served on plastic or styrofoam plates, and tasted no different than food from any GFS or grocery store freezer. Nothing seemed fresh. The wine we sampled also was a let down. I felt completely sick after our meal. I will not be returning.

I was kind of disappointed when we made reservations for dinner, they seated us outside and it was chilly. When we asked for any available tables inside we were told no. Yet the table next to us got up and moved inside no problem. The food is ok, the desserts are better. I recommend the flour less chocolate cake, literally a slice of heaven in your mouth, assuming you like chocolate.

the company i worked for had a company christmas party there. Food was nasty, service was horrible, And for as much as my boss paid, you would think we would have had REAL silverwear and plates. I requested for him to have the party at Ferrantes again. It was wonderful there

Very accomodating for a larger group. The band was excellent, the food was good and of course they have some great wine. Service was great too. This place gets crowded and loud late in the day, but we enjoyed it and have been back more than once.

I didnt get a chance to try the food so this is only for the wine tasting. The four paired with chocolate was great. The sweet wines were also very good. Took home two bottles. Next time I have to get the take-home bottle of Port.

The wine was very good. It was very crowded but the service was excellent. Ryan, our server, was very good. I highly recommend the asiago artichoke Dip. It comes in a bread bowl with chips. The Dip and the bread was awesome!!

Nice woodsy atmosphere (on the outdoor patio), we sat at the bar so we could have a few samples and the staff was extremely friendly and helped explain everything very well.
