I was shocked at the customer service offered at Dolce Vita. We were a group of 13 first time visitors to Syracuse who went to the Dolce Vita for dinner. We were kept waiting for an hour despite being told that the wait was 20-25 minutes. With were given no updates or provided no explanations. Rather it almost felt that we were not welcome. Tired of standing, when we sat down at an empty table, the waiter asked us to go wait in the lobby so he could prepare our table which was fully ready. When we said we had been waiting for an hour and were hungry the waiter pulled out his cell phone and said the wait has been precisely 50 minutes and that he needed us to vacate the table even though no one was waiting. Given that we were a mixed group of student of various ethnicities, we came away feeling that this treatment was almost racist. Four of us finally decided that even if we were given a table immediately, we did not want to eat at such a place and left. The take out pizzeria next door provided us with outstanding, courteous, fast and service with a smile. I am shocked that a restaurant with such high rating could have such abysmal customer service. With 150 students staying two blocks away from this place for 2 weeks, they have lost a lot of business. I will never be recommending this place to anyone who either lives in or plans to visit Syracuse

sooo not happy! Went there last evening, we were sat at a table that felt like it was under a Freezing cold air tunnel! The waitress was a fly by, running by the table asking How is the pork? How is that? Never stopping Literally asking on the run. no offer for more drinks, or anything! . There were only two other tables seated and the place was definitely not busy so that was not the excuse! The food was mediocre at best and immediately became cold under whatever the cold air was coming from! The waitress brought out our entrees before we finished our salad, and there was no room on the table for the second plate so we had to give up the last of our salad. The tables are too small. We never were asked if we needed anything, no desert or refills on drinks! We definitely paid much more than the worth of the food and presentation and the service. Will not be going back.

I highly recommend Dolce Vita as a must visit place! The atmosphere (ambiance) is very comfortable. The owner/hostest with the mostest (lol), Atonietta, is a sweetheart and is very outgoing (accommodating, entertaining). The bartender, Leah, is fantastic (mixes up some amazing drinks and is very polite)!!! And lastly, youll love the food.

Went in for lunch. The lack of parking can be a challenge if the street parking has been taken. The decor is charming with Christmas lights dotting the ceiling. The food is a little pricey for lunch but it was tasty so we thought it was worth it. They do online ordering through Grub Hub which is always a plus.

Excellent Food and Service! We have dined many times and tried steak, stuffed pepper (my fav), pork loin and several other things and they have all been excellent. The waiter even remembers us from one dinner to the next, which is months apart. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an excellent meal.

Never go at 3pm on a Saturday! Slow service (presumably preparing for dinner instead of taking care of us) and the stink of bleach dampened the mood. Food was good but overpriced. Wontons with goat cheese were fantastic but pan seared scallops were a little too oily.

Great small restaurant, great service, ate on Thursday night, kinda hard to fault a restaurant on a sat night before 45 minutes at Syracuse stage and expect a four course chef prepared meal, cmon folks, be real a bit ;)
