I hope management is reading this. But I had a very bad experience lately here. I was with my friends here after buying a season pass and we were having fun. They sold us some type of water squirt toy, there was this kid around our age and we wanted to have fun with him so one of my friends sprayed him a little bit. His mom overreacted and fussed at us and we appologised. She continued to tell lifegaurds which forced us out of the lazy river and walked us to a grass plot and asked us questions like if we thought we were cool doing it. We told her everything we did but they sat us down about 5 feet apart in the burning sun and told us not to talk, we were there for about 20 minutes and it caused us to get sunburns because they would not let us reapply sunblock from our bag, they were going to call our parents but they soon realized they were idiots and had nothing on us and told us to go. (A young short blonde haired women, And a larger brunette lady working at the shack) please do not let this happen again because you wasted our time and money on a few kids who did nothing against your rules, even if we did you should probably state those rules a bit clearer and not sell water toys if youre not gonna let people use them. Fix your staff please before this happens more.

Second time going within the past year. Just went today. Smooth and speedy getting in with my Groupon. As always, be sure to go to the gift shop first to rent a locker. $10, small locker (fits a backpack just fine and you get $2 back when you return the keys). Greeted with smiles and most staff was upbeat. course, youll occasionally come across a person kinda eh in their interaction but thats anywhere. Bathrooms were good when we arrived and I saw staff checking/cleaning when I went a seco d time. Bring water shoes with you but not allowed on the slides. Food, drinks, supplies available for purchase (we bring our own lunch, .get hand stamped and have a picnic lunch outside the gates). Area was very clean, floaties and vests all in good condition. Life guards throughout. Groupons were $26 total for two people which is great. Various slides, a lazy river and a wave pool. Were exhausted! Had a blast. I take my go pro w/o issue on the rides too. Btw, for a reg vehicle, its $6 to get on the island itself. No issue, just giving others a heads up.

I have been to many water parks in my life. This one wasnt much to rave about. It was small, the water smelled very strange, and the lines were long, even on a Tuesday. The wave pool was less than exciting compared to other places I have been (namely Ocean Breeze in Virginia Beach VA). I couldnt wait to get home to take a shower. The shower facilities on site were lacking as well. They were clogged, not very clean, and the first one I tried didnt even work. I am glad I had a Groupon when I went for a discount. My 11-year old had a good time though! I do wish there were more food choices on site though. I dont think I would go back, but overall, it was a good day for my son, thats what counts.

My favorite thing at Summer Waves was the Force 3 double raft ride. I liked going up on the sides of the turns. That ride was like a cupcake of fun. My second favorite thing was the wave pool. The best part was going into the deep part and having the waves push you back. That was really bumpy fun. Swimming in the shallow part was also fun. I loved it. -- 5 year old My favorite thing as Summer Waves the lazy river. When I went without a float I couldnt swim against the current and I missed the exit. The lazy river faster than I thought it was going to be. The wave pool was really fun too. Everyone was getting in front of the big waves and being pushed back. -- 7 year old

My family and I just returned from Jekyll Island and had a wonderful time except for the two days we spent at Summer Waves water park. The park was your normal waterpark with all your usual rides. The biggest disappointment in Summer Waves was the 99% 0f the staff. I have been blessed to travel all over the country visiting many many amusement park and have never meet so many people with the worst customer service skills I have ever met! They never smile, Never speak, they acted like the could careless if anyone of us existed ! This was a real shame because everyone on the rest of the island especially the Campground employees were Fantastic!!!!!!

It was actually quite pleasant. My kids had an OK time. My kids are older teenagers. The lines were very long for all the big slides. I expected that. Theres only 1 place in the park, really, to get food. And that line was unacceptably long considering they dont allow outside food in. I had packed a few small snacks but when we got to the turnstiles to enter our bags were checked and thats when we were informed of the no outside food policy. There really should be a sign posted upon entry and in the parking lot of this policy so people like myself dont have to lug their stuff all the way back to our vehicles. Which is why I didnt rate 5 stars.

First time here. Visited from Florida with my kids. Absolutely clean water everywhere. Really fun slides, water zone. Lazy river gets packed but no one uncourteous. Everyone friendly. All personnel I came into contact with was friendly helpful and most had a big smile on their faces. Bravo to the owners. Happy employees make happy guests. Now a few minor complaints. They wait too long between riders on the slides. The food choices could improve. Would have loved to find pizza and fries on there for the kids. Larrys Giant subs is good though. Overall fantastic place. Bought the two day pass and going today as well

I went there with my family some weekend in July. When we got there the park was closed because of a pipe that busted. According to the locals, that wasnt the first time that ever happened. The employess there said it would be a 20 minute fix. 20 minutes turned into an hour, an hour turned into 6 hours, and 6 hours turned into a full day. When I called, the service was horrible. The person on the other line was annoyed that I was even upset. We left the next day and I never got to experience the park. And to be quite honest, it didnt even look that fun.

Plenty life guards to go around. They offer military discounts w ID, Food was good (Larry subs) and very affordable, staff is friendly young but friendly. I really want to make sure people understand that this is not a giant water park. For the price you pay it is very fair. You get to ride every slide more than twice w no more than 5 min wait. Its not an overwhelming park where you leave paying a ridiculous amount of money and not visit every ride, nope this park is far from that. I recommend the ice creams!!! Uber tasty.
