We went on vacation in July 2009 to daytona beach with my mother in law, and our son (13 months at the time), the beach was great, we stayed at super 8 hotel, it was good too. This place was just horrible though. When we got there, the line was so long, it took almost 30 minutes just to get in. Half the rides were closed down, and there were no signs or anything to let you know. And the lines for the ones that were open took about 45 minutes standing in. My mother in law sat with my son in the kiddie pool, while my and I went to a slide that had two tubes you go down. We waited the whole time to get to the top, and then the staff woman told us we had to take our shirts off. (I was wearing a T-shirt and swim shorts) I tryed explaining to her I only had a bra on underneath, eventually after explaining to her there was no other way of us ging down, unless she wanted to clear the stairs, which are small, and there was about 150 people on them, she finally let us go, but told us not to come back. If they would have told us at the front desk, that what we were wearing wasnt good enough, then we would have went back to the hotel and changed. Cause we were walking when we decided to stop there. Overall it was a really bad visit. The only thing we could do was ride around on tubes in the lazy river thing. Maybe it might have just been our visit, but I know it made us bever want to go back again.

My daughter and I have season passes here. We can concur with some of the observations made by other reviewers. The majority (not ALL, but the majority) of the staff is either rude, unprofessional or, in the case of the waterpark staff, just appears bored out of their mind. The waterpark lifeguards look like teens who couldnt care less. Im sure they dont pay much and have high turnover. Overall, this really doesnt affect whether or not we have a good time. There are plenty of slides to keep us entertained (7 high slides total), along with a few on the kiddie section, although two have been shut down for the longest time so only 2 are functioning. Why they havent fixed them after all this time is a little befuddling. My daughter loves the lazy river and wave pool, though again, the wave pool isnt currently functioning. There are sometimes bugs in the lazy river, like someone else mentioned, but if youve ever been in any type of pool that is unscreened in Florida, there are going to be a few bugs floating around. It wasnt anything unusual. The food isnt bad; its not 5-star dining but this is a waterpark people, so liken it to a snack bar, not a fine restaurant. Weve had the burgers, fries, and nachos; all were decent. if you go when its packed in summer, you will have to wait a while for your food, so expect that. Again, it is what it is...

Daytona Lagoon has changed very little even with the $2 million renovation but perhaps there is more to come. Parking garage now has a mural of it on the exterior and prices have increased. Tried to use an incentive listed on the website only to discover "day of"that details were now added making Christmas in July pricing work only in August. Also had to briefly debate that the $3 off coupons at the hotels were NOT "just for Florida residents" otherwise why put them in motels. Chairs are new, lockers are automated and now they have added "premium cabanas", for an additional cost, complete with flat screens and ceiling fans. Perhaps used at times, not while we were present. all part of the improvement. Perhaps some paint was added to exteriors of slides and overall, still fun. Worth noting also is check the calendar CLOSELY as the hours of operation vary and may affect your plans. The WATER part now opens at 11 a change from the past 15 years we have been visiting as tourists. Not sure why as a tourist that is spending money elsewhere in the area that we pay an extra $5, but park may consider that there is a tipping point where the consumer who pays hundreds for a family to visit for 3hours will now no longer also pump money into concessions. Worth a visit, but dont expect significant changes if you visited previous years.

Indoors was great! I went because the gokarts looked so much fun! Well... the GOKARTS were. The outdoors staff is aweful. They are black (which isnt a bad thing, I do have friends who are black, and in not racist) but they would only fuss at white people. My cousin bumped someone and he got a warning. Black people kept SLAMMING into us, and the outdoors employees would not even say anything to them. One woman slammed into me and kept trying to spin me out, and because I yelled at her and yelled "STOP", she went and complained that I was bumping her, so of course I got a warning, even though I tried to calmly explain what REALLY happened. The next round she kept ridding behind me. She slowed down and slammed into me. It scared me and my left foot accidentally hit the brake (because my foot was resting on it because there is no where else to put my foot), and it caused her to hit me again, and then they threw ME out for it. Of course. Worse staff ever. Like I said, the indoor staff is great, but I will NOT be back, and I will let all of my friends and family know, to go to the other Arcades on International Speedway Blvd. where the employees will be FAIR and make SENSE. The moral of this is, the staff is worthless and they threw me out for no reason, and they are racist.

Eh, its ok. Not so bad but not great. I recommend for people to go in a non rainy thunder day or you will loose your money. Family nights its Wednesdays only at 4:00 pm for 10.99 per person. Manitee 3:00 pm is 12.99 per person everyday. I wouldnt even pay regular admission its not worth it. The place its small, dirty and crowded. The staff its young and careless attitude. The lockers are expensive but you get half the money back if you show your receipt and key back. The food idk never tried it, maybe its pricey. And the parking lot its expensive. Best to walk from the nearest hotels. The kids area its very nice but when they close the slides for weather reasons everyone goes to the kids section and it gets horribly crowded and out of control. The arcade area its cool hang out if it rains. Best thing I liked the kids area and the lifeguard security also providing the floats at no charge its nice too. I would recommend the park manager to train those young staff they are careless and look bored. They need motivation for goodness sake. Clean the park it was filthy areas and the stink around the lazy river was awful. Maintenance its crying out loud.

Ok so were do I start... Went a few weeks ago with my family for the first time! On Memorial Day to be exact! And was there 30 mins before my husband got hurt, which they took him to first aid, and talked to him, however while he was in there I went to get some water from the concessions and they had about 7 employees working and it took me 20mins to get a bottle water, which myself and 2 others were in line! Kinda ridiculous, employees were playing around instead of helping customers if you ask me! But on another note, they gave my husband a office number for a lady by the name of Julie McKenna, and my husband and I have left 7 messages on her voicemail, and has not heard back from her once!! What type of management is that? Lazy unacceptable if you ask me!!! So No My family will not return! And we are looking into legal options as of this point!!!
