I have been going to the West Columbia Theaters on and off for about 15 years. I have personally witness the General Manager Steve( he has slicked back hair, a salty personality and heavy set) scream at his employees on a couple of occasions for very very petty stuff. Things like an unbutton button, a small piece of popcorn in an out of way corner. The two times I described above I was with my young daughter and she was visibly upset and ask what did those people do to get yelled at like that in public view. I told her they really did nothing to be verbally reprimanded like that in front of their peers and customers and its just lack of training on the managers part. Managers are suppose to de-escalate a situation and correct the behavior, not escalate and embarrass the employee. I dont know if it was his decision to upgrade the flooring in the entrance area over up- grading the theater seats, but if it was it was a bad decision. I assume this manager is a far flung relation to Bob Goodrich to be put in a position like this with zero or close to zero management skills. I dont know if anybody else has complaints about the seats, but I assume they are from the era of Paul Reuben (Pee-Wee Herman) infamous adult theater incident in 1991, regardless of how old the seats are the do need to be replaced before West Columbia 7 becomes the new "Cheap Seats" Theater of Battle Creek. I see they have already lowered their price, I suggest new management and new seats to compete with the other theaters in Battle Creek, and more social media activity its 2016, bring some life and excitement back to the adventure of seeing a movie in a top notch theater.

The staff at the West Columbia 7 are ridiculous when it comes to the patrons using their cell phones during the movie. Every time they seen a light they ran over to the customer and screamed at them. I feel like as long as your phone is on vibrate and u arent making any noise who cares if you send a text, or look online or whatever. As long as u arent talking on it or it is ringing while the movie is going on. They acted like this even before the movie started. I will never go back....

This is the ONLY theater in Battle Creek that I will go to. They have the cleanest facility (inside and out), nicest staff, and they enforce the no cell phone use when a movie is playing (it is rude to see lights come on when you are at the back because someone cant go 2 hours without using their phone). The popcorn is delicious as well.

I THINK THAT ALOT OF STAFF NEED TO START WITH BEING BETTER WITH WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I THINK THE MANAGER STEVE M NEEDS TO AS WELL HE IS ALWAYS SO RUDE BEYOND WHAT A JERK IS I THINK HE WORKS HARD AT BEING A JERK I WILL NOT BE BACK ANY TIME SOON AT ALL

There are better options in town. In fact right down the street a new theater opened that is cheaper by a mile, has better seats, and a better screen. This theater is starting to show its age. Has old cloth seats and the screens seem small compared to modern theaters.

This is the best theater in Battle Creek, great service, show times are nicely set up, and the concession stand has tons of choices. Not to mention there rewards system, so you can get free concessions. Simple a great place for datenight or movies with the family.

Excellent Service, Great Concessions! Want to beat the crowds? Weekday movies are the best!!! This is the only theatre we go to. Get the frequent moviegoer card, points add up fast and free concessions are always nice!

Very clean theatre, decent ticket prices. The new leather recliners are extremely comfortable and will make watching films with a long running time much more enjoyable. Advance ticket purchasing is a great feature

Theyve recently updated the seating in the theaters. There are now leather power reclining seats with plenty of space. Its a nice upgrade and I dont believe theyve increased ticket costs.

Great theater, very friendly staff, always clean. UPDATE: 07/16/17 a little over 1/2 done with the remodeling, GREAT SEATING, POWER RECLINING, lots of room. Its our go to theater now!
