Gulfport Casino is a charming ballroom that takes you back to WWll Big Band days. There are many venues for ballroom dance lessons. The casino offers wonderful ballroom dance evenings that range from casual to quite formal. I feel fortunate having been introduced to this gem. The first "review" must have been written by a immature teenager who was trying to mock the casino because he/she doesnt know the first thing about ballroom dancing. My experience with the Gulfport police has been very positive but I dont act snotty toward them like a 2 years old brat. There are a great variety people who have a range ethnic qualities, education and income. I have seen a Bentley there and a 1990s camero. I have never seen a "beach bum" on the dance floor though I admit I do not know what one looks like. PS The steps are to be used by your feet not for your "bottom," so a lady can enter without some kid trying to look up her skirt. Kudos to the Gulfport police (cops) teaching you something you should have learned in nursery school.

We went for the Sunday evening ballroom dance, expecting a Vegas style casino building with a floor crowded with tux and gown clad socialites, martinis in one hand, partners in the other, flowing to a big band orchestra, raising their noses in disdain at our coatless tieless gownless normal-people attire. What we found was a pleasant unassuming community center building with signs on the front entrances directing us to the side entrance, entering which we paid $8 each to join about 15 people on a very large and well maintained dance floor. A bar at the side had affordable drinks, and there were plenty of tables and chairs. The dj music was very good, easy to dance to, standard ballroom assortment of foxtrot, waltz, chacha, rumba, swing, tango, quickstep etc. We had a great couple of hours there dancing and watching some highly skilled (and some intermediately skilled) dancers show their chops. If we lived in the area this would be a first choice for evening recreation.

I love Tuesday tango nights at Gulfport Casino. The place is beautiful, with a waterfront view. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The large Casino floor is wrapped by three gathering areas. When I am dancing there, I am transported to the 1920s. Come join us for tango. Ask for Steve or Kathleen. We are a friendly crowd.

City of Gulfport Ballroom is beautiful fun place to go to dance or go to learn how to dance. "The Impacts" 50/60s band was playing there last Friday night. What a great band. Our Original 50s Rockers Dance group always enjoy a night out when they are playing. They will be back next fall.

Weve been dancing there several times for their Wednesday SWING NIGHT and other times for special events. A wonderful blend of young and old in this historic setting, the casino sits right on the water and makes for a nice evening doing something different.

Had a friend who hot married and host reception there. Nice spot for view! The building is nice and enough room for like 200-300 people. The only thing I would improve is their bathroom. Also parking can be a pain. But overall nice experience!

The charming seaside building is perfect for events, can easily be dressed up or down to suit the mood. Attended a terrific reception there and the catering and services were excellent. Good sound and spaces for dancing and entertaining.

Venue is located on the beach. It has an extremely large wood dance floor, plenty of seating area, stage, windows, DJ booth, bar and clean restrooms. Went there for a milonga (Tango dance) and thoroughly enjoyed the place and people.

They have a live band playing oldies. Dancing. They serve drinks but not food, so you can bring in your own snacks. Mostly and older crowd. Located right at the beach with a beautiful view of the Bay. A fun night.

You must be careful of leaving a $1,500 inflatable RIB boat with a 10 horse motor, for mine got stolen there. Gulfport Police did nothing!
