First of all they didnt have enough staff on a particular night Sunday December 27th 2015 and the lines to get a lane along with the food line were way too long along with the wait time. I was erupting and almost didnt watch my French and my friend had to calm me down. But the worse parts were their was a fight over the food and the Nassau County Police from the third percent had to get called in too many times. And the majorly important part was when me and my friends were wrapping up a game that my friend payed for our group was turned off because they claimed we didnt pay but again that guy who was operating the computer must have lost his marbles probably because he got stressed out like I was when I was relieved to leave. Point is AVOID THIS PLACE because this place is a example of bad customer service and AMF is gonna find out about this after they read this review and likely the Nassau County Police from the 3rd percent in Mineola is gonna come here more often.

This is not for the first time I went to the AMF location of Garden city today which is fathers day I had a very bad experience . The person at the counter asked how many hours I wanted I said just an hour because by 8:00 Pm I must be on my way home He made me paid 26 dollars without telling there is no such thing of one hour I ended up pay another11.00 dollars for another game I thought He knew exactly what He was doing ,because after the fact now He tried to explained to me there is no one hour game I ended up pay 37.00 dollars for two games when I could paid two dollars extra for two hours .A heads up will make a big difference.

Five Stars solely because of Kimara aka Kim, my office team and I came to Garden City Lanes and we were immediately greeted by Kim who made us feel welcomed and ready to have a good time, needless to say, Kim checked us in within mere seconds, saw that our group had the correct shoe sizes and directed us to our lane where she made sure we were all settled and pointed to the various amenities that the place had to offer. Upon leaving, she said goodbye and even remembered our names! If you plan on coming here, do yourself a favor and book your party with Kim and you will not be disappointed!

visited on Jan 1,2014: The music was way too loud. While bowling, our balls kept getting stuck and not returning which slowed things down. The staff was nice except they shut one of our lanes down twice on us. In our ninth frame, a worker came over and asked if we would stop and move over a few lanes so another group could have our two lanes. my buddy was in the middle of his best game ever.. rude..... I said if you want us to move, comp us a game or some soda??, the guy just walked away. yeah, one more thing, four jumbo pretzels cost $21.00. Stay away from this place!

Nice, clean lanes with a lively atmosphere. Great prices and unlimited bowling after a certain time. Sometimes the pins dont reset the right way. Also, the kitchen seems a little understaffed; we waited half an hour for a pizza (and they dont let you bring outside food). If youre not serious about bowling but want a nice place to chill on a Friday night, its good to go here.

Came in on a Saturday night to bowl with my wife and they try to make us play on two separate lanes. Also there business hr are until 2am and they decided to close early at 1:30am. Worst experience in along time at amf lanes garden city.

Had an event here recently. Facility was good and clean, good staff. The pizza was conveyer belt, but not too bad. They didnt freak out from all the kids doing dumb stuff - guess theyre used to it.

Fairly nice and kid friendly. The PC setup to enter names is difficult and not efficient. If youre not PC efficient/competent then good luck .. Pressing the help button does not get you help.

Once I found out the price, we left. $8 per person per game. Plus $5.24 for shoes. Four people times 3 games plus 4 pair of shoes equals $117 before tax. Thats pretty steep just to bowl.

They had videos in the background and when they dim the lights there is a blue light directly at the pins that makes the experience even more awesome. It was fun!

Rude staff. Charged for two games for two person, keyed only one. When I found them I was blamed for not keeping my receipt, right in front of me.
