Here is my 2 cents honest, bias-free, fair review. And after reading my review, you will become an inform consumer so that you can make your financial or personal decision. Visiting from NYC and my experience in Rodeway Inn Near Ybor City -2904 Melburne Blvd, Tampa, FL 33605 has been nice. I stayed at room 109. The hotel is in between the industrial and low income neighborhood. Pros: 1)The rooms comes with (furniture and appliances) as stated on its website. I stayed here for 3 days @ $44.99/night which is quite a good deal. I have enough funding to stay in an upscale hotel if I wanted to. 2) The bed looks nice and critters -free (no bedbugs or insects were found) 3) Plenty of space inside (they have fair size closet and they have a lazy boy comfort chair). 4) WIFI internet speed was decent, but not as fast as Courtyard Marriott hotel wifi. I was able to check my email, shop on line or see places to visit in Tampa area. 5) Close to everything you like to go within 5 mile radius (the casino, the grocery, the restaurants, the Busch Garden). Beaches are about 16 miles away. Airport 7 miles. 6) Towels and supplies were replenished or changed daily. The room were cleaned daily. 7). this hotel is a gated-community to keep the thugs away. At night, you will see plenty of lighting within the parking lot which made me feel safe and my vehicle safe as well. Also, theres an on-site Indian/Hindu staff walking around the premises which is also made me feel safer. Cons: 1)I am only giving this a 4 star rating since theres lack of adequate outlet to plug my electronics but I was prepared and bought my own surge protector with 8 outlets power strip. 2) if youre staying over the weekends, they will charge you ($69.99/night) which about $20 more. I think they should keep the rates at $44.99/night if youre staying more than 3 days. 3) on my first day, I keep seeing this black guy walking around the premises. I think he must be selling drugs or into something. But Im no judgmental person. The next day, I never see him again. wish the management will look into this and screen out some undesirable or suspicious tenants. Overall, this is a fairly decent low budget hotel in the area unlike my recent stay at "Americas Best Value Inn" (which is across the street from this hotel and they have no WIFI for $55/night). I found Rodeway Inn a good place to stay whether youre in a budget or not. I will definitely come back here next time Im visiting Tampa.

Im not giving any stars only reason i gave 1 is so i can post my review! Margret was nice at front desk but the rooms were unacceptable! There was so much mold on the refrigerator it was NASTY! I wiped it down and brought to front desk rag was full of black mold! The bed skirt was black like it hasnt been washed for a long long time. The smell was gross old and mildew! I was afraid to put my things in room. So they said they would put me in another room. I tried but the smell was DISGUSTING bed skirt was black in this room too frige dirty. I was mind blown that they sold me this room! i couldnt do it i asked for a refund immediately!! People staying there or lingering around there asked if i wanted to buy some weed i never met this person before in my life! Pool was shut down i wouldnt even trust it! I would not recommend this hotel, i would just sleep in my car!! Definitely no pride in this hotel. You can tell its that it was a drug hotel and prostitution going on. Lady walking around asking what she could do for the men. This HAPPENED right in front of me!! They should be ashamed of there hotel!! Really!!! Someone needs to do a hotel rescue on them or they need to sell it to someone who cares!! The response from the owner is the same for everyone ans review im sorry for the inconvenience and looking forward to do better with your next stay! There will be not be another stay! Its unsafe and unhealthy and you are putting people in these rooms!!!!

Horrible! We checked in due to my wife booking online and not knowing the area. We were going to Bush Gardens which was awesome but the motel ruined it for us. The staff is great but the motel, is not what the pictures suggested. Be warned this is a high drug, prostitute area and the motel is right slap in the middle of it. So our experience, the room was not terrible, but it was nasty and broken like old creaky beds, busted furniture and WiFi did not work. A/C broke while we were there and dare not open your window unless you have a fire arm to protect yourself. We had our dogs and when we walked them only time we left the room except to get food, vagrants, thugs and hookers tried to talk to us. It was the worst two nights of sleep ever the hookers bounce room to room so you hear banging on the wall and moans all night long, the pimps stand on the balconies smoking, yelling and playing music and the vagrants are just drunk and want a dollar. The people who must be giving this place a high star rating or either frequent flyers at this establishment which means they are either pimps, hookers,or homeless. This place is bad. trust me Ive been in the military 12 years and seen some pretty bad place but this is the worst! Travel at your on risk. Also pets cost extra 15$ a night but my pets are no where as nasty as some of the animals they let stay at this place!

My stay at the Rodeway was due my Mother passing away. After driving from Texas ( 19 hour according to gps) my wife and kid was very tired and, I called my family and ask for a good place to stay and Rodeway Inn was recommend. From the time I walked in, the staff was very helpful and nice. The room that I got was a very nice king size bed , but I forgot to tell the clerk I had 3 people . The room was changed for me with a smile, its no problem the clerk told me. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was very nice and plenty of hot water.. The next three day was very busy dealing with funeral planning, so when we return to the room it was around 8:30 at night, it was a few people sitting around the pool enjoying the Wi-Fi. But once in the room it was nice and quiet. The day of the funeral we packed and loaded the suv and checked out. Just before the limo arrived my wife told me she left her wedding ring on the bed under the pillow. I lost my mind with this added stress. I called the inn and told the clerk about the room and asked if the could look for it. I was very stressed. Well I called after the service I called and they said the ring was found. OMG. I was so relieved, my wife was so happy. This is why I was so happy with Rodeway Inn. Good rooms, great service and Honest staff. Thank you.

My family and I which means my couple kids and wife stayed here for a 3 day buisness meeting she attended, the room was disgusting, constantly smelled like mold, and cigarettes, and weed! The bathrooms were horrible, mold on the tiles, there was a pee stain on one of the bed covers, and a horrible black stain on the actual mattress as well, the bathroom tub not only had mold on the tiles but the bottom was black as well and when i asked if i could switch rooms or something they told me they were all booked up and they didnt have a different room. On top of that they put us in a smoking room and then made us sign a paper saying that if we smoked in there they were going to charge us a fee of $250!! Not that i would even be smoking in a room with kids ever but the fact that they made us sign that and we get there and it reaks like cigarettes is just ridiculous!! Completely unhappy with everything this hotel had to offer, the pictures are deceiving, and the area is scary on top of everything else. If i could rate this hotel a negative rating i would.
