Happy Hour Mon-Fri is from 4-6pm. This is DEFINITELY the cheapest time to go for bowling AND drinking purposes. Bowling is $2.50 for the game and $2.95 for the shoe rental (per person) VS. an overpriced $5 normally for just 1 game, plus an extra amount for shoe rental. There were some other drink specials, but I noticed their drafts are 2-for-1 during this time. This included various drinks from Bud to PBR, as well as things like Mad Hat 9 and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (drafts were all in the $3.75-4.50ish range it seemed). The inside of the bowling alley/bar is VERY well designed. The lights are low, but not a creepy or hard-to-see level. The furniture is comfy and very attractive. Everything seems clean and gives off a retro-modern vibe. The music is modern and there are big-screens behind the lanes, playing music videos, sports, and news. This would be AWESOME during a date or party. To save money, park in the FREE Belmar Mall street-level parking lots (on both sides of Target, instead of the pay-to-park-on-the-street options) TLDR: Overall, the nicest, cleanest, most attractive bowling alley Ive been to, and if you go during happy hour, comparable to all the others in terms of price. Park in the free lots, not on the pay-to-park streets.

Moms, Dads, families,AVOID THIS PLACE! Ive had problems there before with hidden pricing, but the owner and I had a good chat, so I decided to try them again, at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. My kids and I were the only customers. TERRIBLE customer service. The lane we were on was terrible, not returning balls, pins getting stuck constantly. No one was there to help, they were just standing around. So I went to get the ball out of the gutter myself. Manager told me not to do that, fair enough. But then as management do you watch the rest of the game to make sure the lane is in working order? NO. The waitress rolled silverware while I was waiting for a drink. When the ball got stuck again, I asked the control girl for help, she said its the machines fault and not the the bowling alley. Really? I thought maintaining the lanes was the entire point of the staff there. The manager comped $27 in bowling fees. No thanks, I gave the $27 to the sub-standard waitress in a tip. This place is for wealthy young hipsters that live in Belmar. Parents, DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS. You will not have a good experience, they will not treat you like they want you there.

First of all, my 3 friends and I went bowling here to have a good time tonight. Until we got our bill, not the fact that my friend got charged $70 (which is ridiculous) but she got charged for Jager Bombs when we ordered Jager shots, two completely different things! Im more livid that my friend and I had gone up to return our shoes when we heard someone from the bar area tell the person at the main area "to charge us extra anyways" because we were so called drunk? She looked right at us and decided to stop what she was saying. Are you kidding me? I heard what you said. My friend tried to talk to the waitress we had, her name was Heather, but the only thing she wanted to do was to get the manager involved, we were so mad at this point that it wasnt worth our time. This is by far the worst place ever! Dont go there unless you want to be charged for things you didnt order. I will not be going there ever. At least Brunswick treats there customers fairly! Total rip off!

We usually have a good time here but my visit tonight personally has been extremely unpleasant. While playing pool many of the staff members walked by and made eye contact but not a single one stops by to check on us for either drinks or food. After 30 minutes of this I decide to take matter into my own hands and go to the bar and get my own drink and food. After I get my food the person who delivers it doesnt even say anything and tosses my plate on the table, not even napkins are brought with the food, just walks away before I could get get a word out of my mouth... I understand theres bad days as I work in customer service as well but doesnt justify this type of "service"... Ill think twice about coming here from now on and take my business where a simple appreciative common courtesy of checking in with someone who is putting money into your business is enforced as your staff thinks that being on their phones is more important than taking care of customers.

The layout wasnt very good. The coffee tables and couches are good in theory, but when you have to climb over the rest of your group to get back to your seat or when its your turn to bowl, the novelty wears off pretty quickly. I also felt crowded by the ball return. I line up at the edge of my lane and the return was right on top of me. Literally, it was against my leg. I accidentally kicked it all night long when Id follow through and kick my back leg across. Many of the house balls were badly chewed up around the finger holes. It also seemed like all the balls had very, very small holes, unless you were comfortable with a 14+ lb ball. Lastly, and possibly most frustrating, the lanes werent oiled enough. Even with very little rotation on the ball, it would break completely across the lane well before reaching the pins. The domestic drafts could be a lot better too. PBR, Coors Light and Bud Light are all terrible. Im not entirely sure Ill go back.

Combination of being told that we were going to be playing 4 games (apparently they count a game as a game per person?) when we thought we were getting 4 games for four people (as in playing 4 whole games), being charged on the wrong card even after confirming that we would split the bill between parties, and being somewhat rudely kicked out of our spot after finishing our one game ("Hi, we have a party coming so can you, you know?" - exactly what she said) made for a bad experience. - overpriced games, even during "happy hour" - rude staff - bad service = bad experience

I came in with some friends on the snowy night of 12/15/12, and was not pleased with my service. The manager came to us and asked if we wanted another beer; we said no, we were going to leave after one game. We witnessed two servers taking shots behind the bar, drinking on the job. Emily our waitress took a shot, and served us a beer we didnt request. Politely asked her to take it back, she was so rude upon hearing this request. This is the most unprofessional staff Ive came across! With the waitresses drinking youde expect happier service.

We just got back from having our 5 year olds birthday party at Lucky Strike and couldnt be happier. The staff was excellent from check-in to service (Bryan) and beyond. They were even kind enough to pull out a ladder to help us retrieve a giant Happy Birthday balloon from the rafters. All of our guests and parents had a great time and were impressed with the facility. We will definitely be back and will pass the word on about Lucky Strike parties!
