The customer service was horrible. I was under the impression that it was free admission for their Easter/opening celebration. Apparently it was only free for the Easter event earlier in the day (they put between 11-5 online, but when we got there at 3, it was free earlier in the day, which wasnt specified) so we were forced to pay $60 to get in. When I asked the cashier to clarify, he started yelling (hopefully so everyone in the line could here as well) "THESE ARE THE PRICES FOR THE DAY. IT IS NO LONGER FREE!" I was a little shocked at that point, so I stood there for a second confused and he impatiently asks "so which one do you want?" The lines were so slow and long that we only got to ride 3 rides. I thought 2 hours would be plenty of time, but I was wrong. I asked to speak to the manager on my way out the door, and was informed they dont do refunds. I was, however, offered 3 passes to come back on another day, which I am grateful for. The park itself is nice and fun and my 4 year old had a blast and is excited to come back, but they seriously need to work on customer service.

This has to be one of the worst amusement parks Ive ever been to! Not only have they torn down the best parts but the lines for the rides are ridiculous. But that wasnt even the worst part, the worst part of this experience was having the rude little b$%ches that do the horse back riding tell me 10 and 8 year old nieces they were too fat to ride the ponys!! I was told there was an 80 lb weight limit, which I completey understand but what I dont get is a. Why there are no signs what so ever posted about a weight limit (mind you they did have a full grown horse as well as ponys) b. Why I saw SEVERAL children that were definitely over 80 lbs riding both the ponys and the horse and c. Why the hell the dumb little twit felt the need to say my nieces were too big RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!!!! I just had to explain to a crying 8 year old that she is not too fat to ride horses ( a dream of hers) thanks a lot!!

Id say the age range in their sweet spot is 5 to 8. Too far outside that either way and its not going to be that much fun. They have a pretty decent assortment of rides and on a Saturday there was no wait for any of the rides. The (actually pretty cool) zip line and gocarts were the highlight for the older kids. Spinny rides and mini golf were great for the younger kids, and both liked the mini Rollercoasters. Theyve done a pretty good job of making rides accessible to the younger kids as well. Double check the height and weight requirements before you come. For two kids and an adult, with good sized passable lunch and ice cream, it was $100 for the day. Considering the variety of fun and comparing to the cost of a bigger park, I give it a thumbs up. P.s. you can bring your lunch too.

I cannot believe how much this place changed in 1 year. My family use to love coming here, but after today, we will NEVER come back. The owner was extremely rude and impatient not only to me, but to others as well. The place is way overpriced for the few small carnival rides they have. All the cute buildings that use to be here are now torn down and surrounded by a chain link fence. We use to love going into the souvenir shops and buying the delicious funnel cakes and ice cream. On top of all that, they no longer have the alpine slide. The place looks run down and abondened. Id like to add that Ive never wrote a reveiw on anything, but I was so disappointed with this place that I had to. Do yourself and your family a favor and go somewhere else or save your money. Youll be grateful you did.

Had the most awful birthday experience. Rides are short and not worth the ticket price. Amusement area including the birthday party corner is littered with trash and leftovers from previous guest. Do not recommend taking young children. Half of my party guest were unable to ride most of the rides due to height restrictions. None of the staff even came to check on us or attempt to up sell us with extra pizza or ride passes for the adults. When going to address the issue the manager on duty was unable to help us or work with us. He was rude and did not take our concern into consideration. We were the only party book all day. Now I understand why. Heritage square amusement area has lost my business for life. My recommendation for an amazing birthday experience... Colorado railway museum!

Just went by today, 11 July 2016, to see if we could ride the Alpine Slide. It was only 5:10 PM and was informed by a staff member that they were closing in 20 minutes, which we believed was still enough time to ride the slide. But were then told that the slide is closed permanently. Train is shut down as well. Only a few of the kiddie rides are left open among the deconstruction of this once quaint theme park that has been in and out of operation since 1957. It was designed by the same people that created Disneyland, hence the authentic looking Victorian building that are now being dismantled. So unless you want to take some young ones on a couple of kiddie rides, or see the sad remnants of a once Denver mainstay avoid going. Its just too sad.

The kids had fun on the rides but the games either ate their tokens or the games didnt spit out any tickets. On top of that, almost all of the games (20 yrs old) are 1-2 dollars to play. The park is in shambles and thats an understatement. They claim they are doing a complete remodel and upgrade but it looks as if its been this way for a while now. After reading some other reviews its been this way for over a year. Prices are high for the condition of the park. I hope they do actually upgrade the park, but I have my doubts. Signs say their lease ends in 2039 and theyll be around until then. If people stop supporting a run down, mismanaged park, they wont be around in two years. It looks and feels like a traveling carnival. We wont be back.

The Fish n Farm Amusement Park located at Heritage Square is a Great place to take your family for a day or an afternoon. It has improved 300% since last year. Minimum age is 2 years old and 36" to ride on the rides by themselves (some rides need to be taller). If child is too short adults may ride with the child so bring along a backup adult if you cannot ride. There are also rides for the older crowd and even a "Movie Star". The Tilt-a-Whirl was in the movie musical "State Fair" with Pat Boone and Ann Margaret. Very near the Fish n Farm is the "Alpine Slide" and "El Rio Train" along with shops at Heritage Square.

Only amusement park and a cafe are open now. Train, shops, and theatre are closed forever. Rides are fine for five year old and younger. Most rides would be too mundane for older folks, except: go carts, small zip line, paddle boats, mini golf, Ferris wheel (about 40 feet tall). Best deal is $20 per kid for unlimited rides ($25 if you also want to include the go carts). Rides for kids under 48 inches require only one paying person (an adult). 19 tickets cost twenty dollars, and most normal rides cost three tickets. Avoid the arcade unless its extremely hot and you need shade and flashing lights for young kiddos.
