Nice casino but, a few things made a negative impact. First of all, front desk staff arent properly trained. Asked the lady who checked us in a few questions and her response every time was, "I dont know..." She didnt offer a way to find the answers, didnt ask any of the other staff. Got stopped by multiple staff asking for ID, and once they check they are supposed to give you a stamp or wristband, but didnt happen so was continuously interrupted. Biggest, most disgusting, and major health violation . . . the Parrot Cafe. When I approached the counter to order, the guy (heavier set young guy) came in from outside smoking when he saw me, took my order when I noticed his hands were covered in black like he was working on an engine. Dude didnt wash his hands, didnt put on gloves, and was placing the food I ordered on the grill with his bare hands. When he noticed I was watching him he said, "There is a number on your ticket, I can call you when its ready." I continued to watch, didnt say anything, pretended to be playing on my phone while I recorded the whole thing as he slowly progressed to put gloves on. I took the food to the main front desk, asked for a manager, before the manager arrived I explained to the girl at the front desk what happened and she agreed that is he was completely in the wrong and was disgusting. She showed concern and shared interest in my disappointment. However, when the manager came his attitude and responses were short and didnt show any concern, and mainly a "oh well, whatever" attitude. Manager I spoke with in the morning apologized for the experience and helped improve the situation and thank her for turning around the view of the previous manager. At the moment, not sure if well come back again.

Beware, they will take your comps away without notice. I had over a thousand dollars in comps and when I went to use some, they had taken them away because I had not used them in six months. They said that they did not send letters or notices to let you know because it was their discretion as to what happens to the comps. I dont think that is very fair. I had been a member for over 15 years. Not a good way to treat a customer. I will not be back. There are better places to play. When the Triple Crown Casinos decided to change their comps system, they let us know how much we had and let us use them up before they expired. That was the only fair to do it. We visit Midnight Rose and JP McGills all the time because they act like they appreciate your patronage. Double Eagle acted like, "Oh well, thats the way we do things... like it or not." They didnt even apologize for it. I wrote to them to ask if they could give me some of my comps back so that I could use them but they didnt even respond. I cant think of any reason to go back if they dont appreciate their customers. Maybe when they go under they will see their poor ways dont work.

U can not win.. My last 4 times i have went up to the double eagle it really felt like they turn off the slots when they want too. I would put $100 in a slot and just NOTHING!!!! Its a vary sad casino.. STAY AWAY!!!! I also like hotblazin777 slots and they had a 25cent hotblazin777 at 1300 that is so sad when they hit at320 at most.. So it is may 2016 if you are reading this. . STAY AWAY GO TO BLACK HAWK.. Double Eagle has change owners STAY AWAY Why just give your moeny to some rich guy that has just took all the fun out of playing slots... When you play a penny slot and you max bet on it you should hit more then 60 cent.. Iam KEEPING IT %100 stay away from CRIPPLE CREEK IT HAS WENT DOWN HILL.. I wish the state of Colorado would look into how bad they have become. If they did I am sure they would be fined.. I just saying $100 and one dollar a pull and nothing not one thing lined up.. I hope I save just one person to not go up to cripple creek.. BLACK HAWK and iam sure you will have some fun atlases feel like you are playing not just giving your moeny away...

This place is pretty bad. I dont normally write reviews about ANYTHING. This place was so bad, it prompted me to actually write a review. Major gripes: Payout was EXTREMELY low. maybe 1 in 10 pulls I actually "won" anything, even that was like a 5 cent payout (on a 30 cent pull). I spent about 2 hours in Bronco Billys on $20. I spent about 3 minutes here on $20. The beds are AWFUL! They feel like two pieces of ply-wood with springs out of a pickup truck. I could stand on the bed, and it wouldnt even bend in slightly. The floor may actually have been more comfortable. The rooms are clean, but everything is so outdated. The TVs are like 20" CRTs (the old really heavy ones). I can get a better looking room at motel 6. This place just seems like its dying, and theyre trying too hard to keep profit high, but ultimately making the customers dissatisfied. The good: Good parking, they have a pretty decent garage. Good food for our group. The meatballs we had as an appetizer were tasty, along with the rest of our dinner.

Took my wife to cripple creek she has been having a tough time with a terminal liver disease. Wanted to do something nice, we inquired about a room and the lady at the hotels front desk said she would need id and a debit card. While we thought she was just giving us information she had ran our card and handed us a receipt for 106.57 while we knew the room was a little high especially in comparison to the cost of the other hotel around the area we figured well it must be a super nice room.... WRONG the tv was way outdated they would not give an extra pillow and by far the worst thing when we woke up rthe next morning we find out via the bank that she put money on hold for a deposit we knew nothing about..... when we asked about it another woman said she could do nothing to return our money. Mind you we knew nothing about a deposit and it was nowhere on the paperwork. When asked to speak to anyone in a supervisor position got shut down. In my opinion you take money without telling the person your stealing

I was visiting Colorado to see family when we decided to go to Cripple Creek. We went to the Double Eagle Casino since it was recommended by my Sons wife. My wife and I was at the bar and we were attended to by a waitress with a heavy foreign accent. We was served our drinks and my husband had money sitting on the bar. My husband simply asked the bartender if she was from the Ukraine since our sons wife was from the Ukraine. This barmaid responded indignantly with "I am Russian"! She then took my husbands money from the bar and went to the cash register on the other side to give back our change. When she came back with our change in her hand, Instead of placing my husbands change on the bar, she threw it in his face. We was simply trying to make conversation not trouble. We had no intention of insulting anyone. Needless to say we are done with this casino and strongly suggest if anyone goes to this casino, do not interact with the staff! You may get a face full of change or worse!
