Beware of making plans to attend movies at this theater if you actually expect to be able to watch whats posted on the Regal/Fandango website and listed on their automated phone messaging system. The stars finally aligned for my wife and I to watch Interstellar, last night. This film has been in the theaters for a while, now, so Regal - Longston Place is the nearest location to our home in Olympia where it was listed as playing. The play time posted on Fandango was 5:10 PM. We went to the trouble of hiring a babysitter and made the 30+ mile drive, excited to finally have found the time to watch this film together. However, we arrived at the movie theater at 4:50 only to be told that the decision had been made a few hours previously to replace Interstellar with another movie, presumably because they thought the other movie would attract a larger audience. I spoke to two of the managers about the issue, told them how we had gone out of our way to attend Interstellar at their theater at the time posted on their website, and didnt receive so much as an apology for the inconvenience this last-minute change had caused us. They implied that the website had been adjusted at the time the decision was made to cancel Interstellar and I simply should have rechecked the site later in the day (I had checked it at 1:00 PM). I didnt confirm that the time on the website had been updated, but I did call the theaters phone line at 5:07 - three minutes before when the movie had been supposed to play - only to find that it was still reporting that Interstellar had a 5:10 showing. The one thing I will say in favor of the managers who I spoke to - and in spite of their mostly uncaring attitude about the inconvenience the cancellation of Interstellar put us through - was that they did offer to let us see a different movie free of charge. We did not want to see a different movie, though, so we declined the offer. I have no idea whether Regal Cinemas as a whole habitually cancels posted showings in order to capitalize on the popularity of other movies or if this is only a practice of this particular Regal location. Regardless, last minute changes like this can be very disappointing to the customer, and they exhibit a lack of respect that drives patrons away.

Not sure how Longston Place received such a high rating. I much rather spend extra time and fuel to watch a movie at Lakewood. The experience at Longston is dissatisfying because the prices are the same as newer theaters. If tickets and concession were 25% less, Longston could justify the infrastructure being antiquated and not being able to handle the high weekend volume. The staff is awesome. Always friendly and helpful - from the concession staff to management. And this is the “best” theater in Puyallup. However, everything else makes this a horrible theater. - Parking is limited and stalls are tiny. It is better to park at Safeway and cross Meridian versus waiting for a stall only to come back to a dinged/dented car. - There are only 2 ticket booths. - There is always a busted machine preventing you from purchasing your first preference at the concession stand. - The floor (from entry to the actual theater) feels permanently sticky. - It smells like your old Aunt Betty’s house – just a very old scent. - The bathrooms are disgusting. Reminds me of elementary school bathrooms. Only thing missing is the powdered soap that doesnt lather. - The screen size is small. - The seats have short backs, do not recline, and are narrow. - Theater capacity is limited. Every seat is taken at a new release.

Everyone was friendly, good atmosphere and the employees seem to help customers. Upon walking into the front entrance an employee was taking the trash out, we made sure he was there to open the door for me; welcoming me in. Tickets purchase was up to my expectations and concessions made sure I knew about everything they had to offer. Later in the movie, there were a few kids sitting next me in the theater, and during the movie they constantly had their phones out and talking during the movie. I wasnt the only one getting irate about it, so I chose to go ask for the assistance. I ran into the same guy who opened the door for me (Dustin) and let him know about the situation. He was very sympathetic and asked me to go back inside, he would follow shortly thereafter and go in. He did, and resolved the situation. But even better I must have seen him back in the theater about 5 times verifying that the situation remained resolved. I think just the ushers actions (Dustin) pretty much wrapped in a nutshell what my experience was. It is refreshing to see someone genuinely interested in making sure my experience was all that it could be. I would, will, and have came back before will continue to do so

I dont usually leave reviews, but this is getting out of hand. I went to see a movie and left wanting to fight. I ordered a pizza and was told to go to my auditorium and that it would be brought to me. 40 minutes later I come to check on it and its in a warmer. "Sorry, we were slammed." Its a pizza you warm up in 3 minutes. I had 20 minutes before my movie started I could have waited for it. I went back to the auditorium and the movie had started. Ive had enough at this point. I request a refund. Done. I still am stuck with a $6 soda I dont want because Im not going to be drinking it while watching this movie. Refund for the ticket? Forget about it, register is closed. "I can give you an any day ticket." I dont want an anyday ticket I just want my money back. "Im sorry that has been your experience." There is a difference in appologizing for trashing someones movie going experience and appologizing to a person for how they feel about an experience. I was told "sorry" for how I felt. I threw my soda away and I ate price for the ticket I purchased. I declined the anyday ticket as well. Stay home or go to a different theater.

My son wanted to go see a movie with a group of friends. The only dilemma is that it was a R rated movie and he wont be 17 for another two months. I was sick and couldnt go in with him so his sister who is 19 went with him. I even bought him the tickets online hoping that they will realize that his parent gave him permission; yet they wouldnt let him in. So I was on the phone trying to give permission through the phone. Through all this they wouldnt let my son in even with his 19 year old sister and my permission over the phone. His friends missed the beginning of the movie and my son had to come home and miss it all together. The lady was extremely weird to my daughter and myself. They also made his friends and my daughter show their I.D.s at least five times. Going to the movies is supposed to be enjoyable..you shouldnt be treated like a criminal.

What a dumpy theater. This place smelled bad, had nobody at the concession counter for 3 minutes after we bought our tickets, and the carpet was totally worn out and dated. The walls needed patching too...there were holes and white spots all over! Sound system during our showing of "Sully" was nowhere near the quality I expect from a $9.50 matinee price and from Regal theaters. This place needs a couple hundred thousand in renovations, equipment upgrades, and a better staff to make sure they can make money on concessions. Looks like they will be going out of business soon. Owners need to step up and fix their investment before its too late.
