Small/medium sized casino and the parking structure is small, needs to be bigger, but is usually not full. Games are plentiful, though it can get crowded and too loud on weekends. Some of the cocktail waitresses are rude and the security jerks in the ugly jackets are annoying. Valet staff are mostly nice and the valet service is open til midnight. No hotel, but there are places to eat. The buffet is usually pretty good and a little cheaper than other buffets. Then, depending on who is working, the restaurant downstairs is pretty tasty, though the menu is small. Points for rewards card are ok, coupons are not great and seems like when I use the card I dont win as much as when I dont. And finally, dealing with the hosting staff and getting info about your point status is a real pain. When they get the rewards program/customer information online, it will be quite an improvement.

I HATE that I am forced to give even 1 star. We decided to grab the lunch buffet at about 1:30 in the afternoon. $24 per person for a lunch buffet at a casino no less.. Ive had MUCH better food at the local Dennys. It was mostly breakfast food. The bacon was absolutely slathered in the oil it was obviously deep fried in. There were not that many items to choose from, and what was there tasted like frozen then deep fried in old oil and grease food. As we are eating they start vaccuming...blowing a layer of dust on our food and table...like you could run your figure across the table and see the trail. Wait staff was unattentive and seemed annoyed we were there that late in the afternoon. In short,..the 2 of us dumped $50 on nasty food only to have it ruined by dust and noise from a vaccum , then got snubbed by the staff.

My husband and I had dinner here on 8/10/15. We went for the all you can eat crab legs. They also give you a ticket for one whole lobster or just the tail. It was $18.99. I think on weekends its $22.99. The crab legs were so good! It was definitely worth the price. They had hot and cold crab legs, lobster, clams, shrimp, prime rib, salad, etc. We only tried some of the side items, we mostly focused on the crab legs and lobster. The side items were ok. The dessert bar was very good with lots to pick from. I think this restaurant is more quality than quantity, which is nice. We will definitely go back again.

Beware! Poor wait staff + Food Poisoning I decided to try their lobster tail buffet. I regret it so much. They tried to deny my sister entry because medically she was unable to eat at the time-feeding tube. The same lady that tried to deny is came back after the manager approved and started to harass us. Same lady thought it was a great idea to swiffer the hell out of the main walkway in the buffet. I almost fell with a plate full of food. On top of that I got food poisoning. I ate my lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, mashed potatoes, sausage, and desert. Best place to eat? I think not.

We use to go here once a week because the crab legs were awesome and the buffet was always stocked! The last 4 times (yes 4 times) the food and service was way under par! I complained to management and I was ignored and brushed off! The crab legs are cold and way over cooked to the point the meat wont come out! The peel and eat shrimp is in a bowl of water so its soggy and taste like its old! I dont know what has happened but its a true shame such a great place fell apart! I guess I will go somewhere else when I visit Blackhawk!

Enjoyed our day until running into a security guard too full of himself and his authority. Got kicked out on the way up to the buffet for being silly on the escalator. Spoke with management who said hed "look at the tape". Wow. Terrible customer service and lack of care concerning handling a non-issue - could have just allowed us to enjoy the buffet and leave but nooooooo. We spend thousands there, tip well and usually come up every week. Im sure they wont notice two more empty seats at their tables, but they should.

Even by the standards of a casino, the Monarch is criminally dishonest. You will be harassed at the door about detouring into an office so that you can receiver a free buffet which is sold as virtually condition-free. What ensues is a clusterfuck of lies, misdirection, and incomplete instructions that amount to a boatload of frustration and wasted time. Prepare to stand in multiple lines for nearly an hour. Please take your business elsewhere, I beg you.

They have absolutely worst slot machines in the country. their moto is "donations are welcome" and "please help us pay for our renovations" in return we will give you horrible food and horrible customer service. There got to be someone to investigate the operations of that casino. Dont believe any positive reviews. As for myself, I dont need their 50 cents. next time I will send them a check for $500 and stay home to avoid the insults.

Talk about putting lipstick on a pig. They have improved the appearance tremendously. Unfortunately that has come at the expense of quality food, customer service, and an enjoyable gaming experience. If they ever finish their hotel, Im sure it will be a great place to stay...but casino/restaurant wise, you will have a better experience at literally any other property on the mountain. Theres at least 20, I encourage you to find one.

Dontt play the table games here. They dontt take care of players on comps or promo chips. Cheapest casino by far. All the casinos wont ever sign your bus ticket if you dontt play 2-4 hours no matter how much you spend there. Dont waste a trip to play table games or any of the casinos in blackhawk. Reboot boss manager is as cheating youbgetband rude. ThevGM is the same way. Avoid this casino its pathetic.

Not very happy with the security here because they stopped me in the parking lot insisting that I was drunk and gave me a hard time getting into my car. They were going to call the police on me for drunk driving but I didnt drink any alcohol. I went to talk to security supervisor and she tried to justify stopping me from leaving. Im so mad the accused me of being drunk and stopped me from leaving.

Was very disappointed. The shuttle drivers were talking down about us like we werent even in the same vehicle. Then as we were getting out of the shuttle one worker walked up to another worker and continued to talk down about us to him. Really made us feel disrespected and we maybe stayed 5 minutes and chose to walk back to our vehicle so we didnt have to be treated badly by the drivers.

Clientele are obviously ex librarians, security guards will treat you like youve just walked into a CSI investigation room minus the white spotlight. Where is the cigarette smoke smell? 1 drink per 30 mins, really? If youre looking to really get your casino on, go to different town. If you enjoy the feeling of being watched and love the art of silent gambling this is your place.
