I cant believe that this course has the rating that it does... The only thing that was a slightly redeeming quality about this track was the golf shop staff. They were very friendly and helpful. I cant say the same for the maintenance crew that seemed completely oblivious to the fact that people may be trying to play golf ON A GOLF COURSE! The rest of the experience was just as HORRIBLE as the maintenance crew!!! This course is priced at about the same level as other courses in the area that are way better in quality and layout. I love it when a course can offer a challenge, but the challenge should come from how a hole is designed or how a green is contoured not trying to find a flat spot on the tee box so that you can tee off. The tee boxes were fairly annoying (it takes a lot for me to mention that but some of them were just ridiculously bad) but the major disappointment was the fact that several holes had burned out fairways and giant dead spots! There were probably 7 holes on the course that had areas roped off because they were completely disgusting. Finally, the greens didnt even come close to running true and also had several dead/burned out spots on them. It was actually tough to 2 putt from 15 feet because I never had any clue what my ball was going to do when I hit my putt. My final gripe is that I played the back tees and the card was not even close as far as yardages go. I can understand being off by 5-10 yards here and there, but there were several holes that were off by 50-100 yards. Come on people! If you are a serious golfer, do yourself a favor and spend your time and money elsewhere. This appears to be a course that would rather cater to the people that just want to slam a few beers and hack a ball around than the people that want a good golf experience. Spend the same amount of money at some of the other choices in the area and get a lot more return on your investment.

What more needs to be said other than a true classic in both age and play. Growing up on the east side, Rammler G. C. was one of the 5 courses I learned the game on. From the very well maintained fairways to the devilishly subtle greens Rammler is a must play for those wanting an enjoyable yet challenging round. Lets not forget those youngsters or anyone wanting to hone their short game because they also have a 9 hole executive course that is a nice way to spend some time with the kids/family/friends. Be sure and visit the old school style clubhouse. My go-to order is their Club Sandwich. I challenge you to find one better--but any choice off their entire menu is a solid pick. Now for what Rammler lacks. There is no driving range or chipping around the practice green so be forewarned. So if youre looking for a course to spend a few quality hours away, be sure and give this place try.

I have been very loyal to this golf course by doing the twilight golf every week and I love the par 3 as well. However, I was very disappointed when I left my phone in the cart one day. I went back, not 5 minutes later and the carts were already locked up, the guys working said I will need to come back in the morning. I was not happy about this, how do they not have a key or were they just too lazy to open the door for me to grab my phone? I knew exactly what cart I was in and everything. So I went to the bar because there were people still in there. I got the same thing, I would have to come back in the morning. I just dont get why nobody had a key to let me grab my phone and I felt the workers were unnecessarily rude to me. I did go back in the morning and my phone was waiting for me but it was enough to make me find a new course to play.

My review is strictly about the Par 3, 9 hole course offered here at Rammler. A well maintained par 3, with generous wide open fairways that are welcoming for beginner, young, or elderly players. There arent a lot of courses in the area that offer such well kept greens for par 3s. Rammlers par 3 would be an excellent choice for your first time golfing, or for kids learning to play. The green fees are cheap, and because the par 3 is overshadowed by their 18 hole course, there normally isnt a wait time. The par 3 is a walk on course, so tee times are not offered.

Nice course design. VERY slow pace of play. This is the most annoying thing for me that can single handedly ruin a day of golfing and my rating of a golf course. Food was ok, clubhouse is very old and could use some renovating, and starter disappears frequently. Price would be fair if they didnt over book tee times, but they do and this makes the price seem way too high by like double. Dont plan on coming back unless its a last option type deal. FYI, Ive been here 3 times and its been slow each time. Way more so than any other course Ive played.

I wrote a review about not getting compensated because of a bad expierence and after a phone call to the G.M Paul Duda he was very polite and gave my friend and I a free 9 holes of golf. I WILL be spending many days on this course over the summer. Thank you Paul. I appriciate your fantastic customer service!

This old 18 hole golf course is in great shape and a great golf value. There are 3 holes that carry over the Clinton River which adds an additional challenge. The employees welcome you from the time you arrive all the way through a great meal prepared by Chef Dawn.

Overall is not bad for the price, but need better courtesy from those rangers. First bad impression received from those guys who provided the key to golf cart. Give the job to people who really need jobs. Service is very important to compete in this economy.

Course is in great shape, awesome beer cart girls and the food is pretty great too. They have daily specials and so far have not been disappointed for our Tuesday league.

Very friendly staff. Course is in need of clean up of branch debris and overgrown areas, some of the cart paths are too bumpy. But still a good overall course.

Course falls in line with the other metro dumps in the area. Steep prices to play on dead fairways and cement greens.

Love the par 3 course for a quick short game workout, and the main 18 is a great, challenging course as well
