I got to see my very first silent movie here at the United Artists / Theatre at Ace Hotel during the inagural Night on Broadway celebration back in January of 2015. Just like the showing of Metropolis, the theater alone was the shining star of the evening. The beautiful spanish gothic interior has survived into the new millenium. And now a new generation of angelenos are marveling at the intricate details that can be seen in the lobby and the cavernous auditorium. If you go up to the balcony be sure to have a gaze at the spectacular ceiling dome and the beautiful murals. Dont forget to try and name all the golden age movie stars youll see immortalized on them.

What a beautiful theater. I had not idea this place existed. Just absolutely gorgeous. We went for a special event, Labyrinth Quote Along, and had such a fun time. The seating is old style theater seats so theyre not super comfortable but fine for a two hour performance. The bathrooms are downstairs and Im not sure if there is an elevator so if you have mobility issues, this could be a problem. They had a full bar and snacks the night I was there. Parking was available in the adjacent lot for $10 on the night we went. As I said, beautiful venue. I would go to another event here.

awesome restoration of a 1920s theatre, the carvings around the entire room are just gorgeous. The only problems I had were that the sits dont have enough leg room so for the star wars marathon I went to see it became very uncomfortable ( my wife is 5 2 and I am 5 10" and we both had problems) and if there is some one sitting in front of you and your sitting on the upper balcony then you might have trouble seeing the screen/stage, even if the person is average size...but over all its an awesome experience, will recommend

Beautiful little theater in the heart of LA. I loved the coziness of the theater and the proximity of the artists playing. They serve popcorn, chips, alcohol and water of course. Pricing is actually reasonable considering other venues. Everything was clean and there is a distinct theme about the place that screams old Gothic chapel. Only complaint is parking, but its LA so thats no surprise. Valet is best option and its 20 bucks. Make sure to get out before everyone else to get your car though!

Love this historical theatre, they host tons of great events! Drinks and snacks are fairly priced but the lines tend to crowd the lobby. The bathrooms are downstairs but there is no worming elevator so its not handicap accessible! Made my way to the balcony to check out the view and wiped out going up the stairs because most of the lights are burned out!

Came here to see Game Grumps Live. The place was clean, very nice and the employees were helpful. Not to mention the elegant design around the stage itself and one peice that looked as if it were the portal to hell. Only problem I had was that in order to get to the bathrooms you had to walk down a bunch of stairs, as it was a whole floor below. 8.5/10

The décor of this place is absolutely beautiful. It will even distract you from the main event! They serve boxed water, popcorn, cookies and chips at the events. A bit expensive so I recommend eating before or after the event. They serve drinks there. Parking can be expensive.

Went here for a film and concert. Really nice looking, aesthetically pleasing venue. Only complaint I would have is that the rows of seats are very very close to each other, meaning if one person needs to leave the rows, it forces everyone in that row to get up as well.

The Ace Hotel is my favorite space to see art, cultural, and music events. Its such a lovely historical landmark to be in. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Any seat in the house is a great seat! Highly encourage folk to check out events here, its always a win!

Spectacular building... it is really something special when you walk in here. I loved it for the Coldplay Concert! We were all the way up in the Mezzanine and it looked alright and then on the ground floor we were really blown away. There is much to explore inside!

Watched a movie on the balcony. Great views of the screen. The sound at this theatre is sub par. If the sound was better this would be a great theatre. We showed up early and got drinks at the ace hotel before hand. Drinks are only a bit cheaper.

Beautiful venue with great seating. The venue is newly renovated as I type this out, and the colored lights make for a great ambiance inside the lobby and the theater itself. Theres a bar located near the downstairs bathrooms (which are very clean).

The Venue is absolutely amazing! Lots of good shows, and movie screenings. Management on the other hand has been going down hill for the past year or so. Very Hipster vibes. ACE hotel brings that to the negborhood tho, not really the Theatre.

This venue is both extraordinary and strange. The architecture seems to be a hybrid of gothic deco. Youll find interesting murals with Charlie Chaplin, an unforgettable cat lady sculpture, and more. Explore when you go.

If, perchance, you are looking for LOUD, creepy, expensive, old, dimly lit accommodations, all run by excuse-ridden children - This is it! The theater is great, but take Uber/Lyft and stay somewhere else.

Good spot for a show or event. Be careful about the parking, the big lot across the street is now closed. This is still laid out like a traditional theatre, so the seats in the top tier can be rough.

Very nice venue. Nice classic Los Angeles vibe. Sound was great, I last came here for "How we do LA" concert with Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Kamado Washington, Nae Palm, Bilal, Selah and George Clinton

Beautiful art deco theater that takes you back to the 20s when everyone must have been much shorter (the leg room in the seating is so small it hurts) Otherwise great venue.

The venue has a beautiful gothic aesthetic with amazing lighting, murals, and ceiling. The viewing angles from the balcony arent the greatest but overall a great experience.

Great historic venue to see music. Saw the Pixies and although there was only assigned seating for all security didnt complain if you danced in the aisles near the stage.

Beautiful theatre with incredible sound. I saw Anderson .Paak recently and the entire production was incredible. Easily one of the best places to see a show in LA.

Such a great venue! Just saw Bill Nye The Science Guy there. This place is so gorgeous and historic. All seats are great seats here, comfortable, easy parking.

Definitely intrigued by the gothic feel of the architecture and wall decor. I think MTV did a good job of picking this venue for Shawn Mendes Unplugged Set.

A beautifully restored theater, marred by ancient tiny cramped seating, and over-priced shows with steep will call fees and ludicrous concessions pricing.

The Theatre at the Ace Hotel is magnificent! Nice people staff the place, and quality acts perform there. The restroom is clean and accommodating.

The architecture is gorgeous. Sat on the second floor and I could barely see the front of the stage, where most of the action took place.
