Great Art House theater in a perfect location. The seats are good; the arm rests move up so you can have more space if you need it, but it has the normal movie theater raking and not stadium or easy chair seating. Hence, it wont be that crowded on a Friday night. The location serves its community with its fare; with an art house crowd usually running older than the teenagers needing their comic-book movies, they are a perfect fit for nearby senior communities like Leisure World and Naples, as well as Seal Beach. Popcorn is always fresh; and great service by its staff. Since this is an older theater (in Southern California, meaning it was probably built in the 1970s), the main restrooms are upstairs, but there is a handicapped restroom downstairs. Its location is PERFECT for easy parking and easy access to an abundant selection of fine dining or casual fast-food eating of all types; from CPK, to El Torito, to Mimis Cafe, to In & Out, to Five Guys, to Claim Jumper, to Corner Bakery and Rubys Diner, as well as many more. If you are looking for movies for grown-ups, this is the place for you.

My friend and I went to see Agent 47 and after paying for our tickets, the attendant asked to look in side of my purse. I was carrying a very small cross-shoulder purse. I was very appalled by this action. I have heard of bag searches at movie theaters for movies that would generate a population that was suspect. But for this movie, I thought this was unacceptable. Thinking this must be the theaters policy for everyone with a bag, I stayed to watch and see if this was done to everyone. This was not the case, no there person was asked to open their bag. Not even the lady with a backpack. So, I asked the manager what was the theaters policy and she was not able to articulate a clear answer. After dealing with that, we go inside the theater and it was HOT. There was no air conditioner on in that theater. An overall disappointment. There is an AMC theater across the street that provides great service!!

My daughter and I both love attending movies here, because of easy parking and theater access. The theaters are the same as youd find in most malls, meaning a large main auditorium and smaller ones.....all comfortable. Movies are all first rate, that cater to a more cerebral and or somewhat more mature crowd. Most kiddie movies or those catering to the teen market wont be shown here (said most, not all). Staff have always been kind and helpful and the refresments / popcorn are always fresh. There are hearing assistance devices, that are easily exchangeable if not working properly. Staff are very helpful with this, as well assisting you to your auditorium, if needed, with your refreshments.

I love this little theater! I am an avid movie-goer and this is my favorite theater, both for the films regularly shown and for the seating. Yesterday I had to visit the AMC in Marina Pacifica in Long Beach and it has totally been redone and Im no longer going there unless I must. The seating has been changed to reservation only . . . either on line or at the box office . . . and I wound up in a seat that suddenly turned into a recliner in the midst of my hot dog and cola consumption. I will never go back there unless the film is playing nowhere else.

If you want top notch projection and sound, this probably isnt the theatre for you. Its older though nicely kept. Its the spot to go see a walkie-talkie rom-com, not Avatar. They tend to show more medium budget independent films & the smaller studio releases. If you decide youd like to drive to see a movie 30 minutes before showtime, this IS the spot for you. Easy parking & little to no line, this is not an overwhelming cineplex with underground parking and/or a teen hang out. An easy, relaxing spot to go on a date with your loved one.

No, no, no...those movie theatre is terrible. Small theatre..uncomfortable seats...terrible speakers--could barely hear the movie. I even talked with the manage to set if they could turn it up & I think they did, but the speakers are either poor quality or old our both, because it was still impossible to make out they were saying. This theatre is around the same price as the one just up the street on PCH that has awesome luxury recliners...Im sticking with that place from now on. Im actually surprised this one is still in business!

Wonderful place. Clean and well maintained. Bathrooms as well are nicer than many Ive seen. Staff is helpful and welcoming. Popcorn and other concessions offered are always fresh, never stale. I have to disagree - the theatre is NOT outdated. If you prefer crowds and lots of undue noise levels then go elsewhere. You wont find that here. I wouldnt change a thing. If this location were remodeled, its unique charm would be lost. Love it here.

I agree. This theatre has short lines and shows most of the first run films I want to see. The projection is a little dark but for the convenience of available parking and minimal lines, Im satisfied. This theatre also draws patrons respectful of the quiet I want for movie going and the twenty-somethings who run the place are always cheerful and gracious.

Usually shows all the independent, artsy, and more thought provoking films with a smattering of blockbuster movie thrown in. Its not the most comfortable or modern movie theatre but it serves its purpose well. It would be nice to see some remodeling eventually but, for now, it is a great place to see a great film!

This is an old, but nice theater. Not crowded at all and they play new movies and independent movies. Parking is also easy to find. If you dont like the big crowds, then give this theater a try. Its not stadium type seating, but because its not crowded, you should be able to get a good view.

I love this theater and it is my first choice when looking to see what is playing. I like the movies they choose and it typically isnt crowded. Popcorn is great as I make it my lunch for that day. I hope this theater stays just like it is for a long time.

Checked on line and the movie showed to start at 10:10 pm. Sat in car waiting for the movie to start. Got to the window 20 minutes before the movie was to begin and they informed me that they were closed for the night.

Its a small little theater, its not worth it to see a big blockbuster here but its worth seeing an Indie or some kind of drama. This place kind of specializes in Oscar bait in hard-to-find movies.

I thought it was great, prices were reasonable, etc. Only problem was it was a little difficult to get into the handicapped area!

I like having the chance to catch limited release films at this place, so conveniently located near my regular cinema of choice.

I like the humble, 1980s feel of the interior. Big screens, lots of seats, have never seen it crowded.

This is easily my favorite theater in the area. Not as crowded, I enjoy the crowd at this theater.
