Out of all of the local Indian Casinos, Barona is the only one that consistently exceeds expectations for friendliness, customer service, promotional events, dining, and hotel accommodations. From the moment you arrive on the grounds of the hotel/casino you are made to feel welcome; the ever-present security staff at the guard-houses and parking garage greet every single person who passes their way with a smile and a wave. Inside the casino the atmosphere is always upbeat, and Barona employees are situated throughout the many sections to assist with a variety of customer needs - from making change and cashing winning tickets to providing food and beverage service - all of which can be accomplished without leaving the slot machines or gaming tables. I especially love the spaciousness of Baronas casino; the captains chairs are comfortable and add to the kind of relaxed atmosphere I value when gambling, and its a real pleasure to be able to sit at a slot machine without constantly being bumped into by other gamers. I know of no other casino - either here in Southern California or Las Vegas, where the staff makes a concerted effort to make each patron feel welcome and valued. I am always addressed by the name used by friends and family, which is truly a nice touch, and I am always remembered on my birthday with extra spending money, a lovely card signed by many of the staff, and a brightly wrapped piece of cake that is delivered by smiling, singing members of the staff to wherever I happen to be sitting on my special day. Gambling aside, I can also highly recommend both the hotel and the many eating venues located within the casino. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-furnished - and each comes equipped with little things that are usually found in the more well-known, pricey hotels in San Diego, making the stay even more enjoyable. Win or lose, Barona Resort and Casino is a first-rate, class act and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to relax and have fun!

This review is based upon my first experience at Barona Resort and Casino, and Im pleased to say that I have no negative comments! Upon arriving, the valet was polite and helpful, and got the car parked quickly. We went to the front desk to check in with our reservation, where we had an issue with our credit card while attempting to place the deposit for the room. The very kind woman at the front desk (Katherine?) was extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure that we would be able to work around the issue with the credit card and get settled into our room as soon as possible. On top of everything else, she was by far the most pleasant person I have ever had to deal with when it came to accommodating my disability to make my stay more comfortable. I travel frequently, and often experience a lot of issues when it comes to hotels accommodating my disability without making me jump through hoops... She did not grill me with a thousand questions, or treat me with any kind of disrespect, she simply requested a few reasonable things regarding the special circumstances, and told us to enjoy our stay. This is the kind of hospitality that everyone should experience when staying at a hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet, the view is great, the water is hot, and the staff is friendly and strong in guest service and satisfaction. I will definitely be returning to Barona in the future to play at the casino and stay in the hotel. Thank you so much to the night staff (especially Katherine) for working through the issues, and making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Keep up the good work!

There was hostile environment. The pool area was filthy and bad smelling, and crowded with unattended minors. Parents aggressively responded on remarks to kids not to scream. Instead apologies we group of elders and I were finger pointed blackmailed to pool personal. They were rude and threatful to our security status it induced so much stress of the brazen misconducts children and their disrespectful parents. Disturbing noise was awful continually. More over children were wondering among slot machines seemed no one cared. Absolutely wasn’t cooperative management to complaints to deal with conflicting people. It is not what it is at the first look. Golf side not giving you peace of mind in your room, on that side of the building by noisy activities. Food was not good as was expected. Hotel and other services are over estimated. We were there on invitations to play for jack pot casino promises. Even though one or two won that was around a thousand dollars but no one notices how much you input and at list get your bonuses which give you coffee shop prize. How is sad when you must to realize that it made to work one way leaving you duped. People are traitors to each other posting one things when it turns you versus way. July 2010

5 stars is an under statement. This casino/gorgeous resort deserves ONE HUNDRED STARS! Excellent hospitality through out every inch of this property from the moment you drive passed the man at the Enterance who is waving to all the guests coming in, to the moment you are leaving the resort and driving passed the man at the Enterance gate who is waving to each and every guest driving out. This is by far my favorite casino to be a club member with. It is farthest from me than the majority of casinos i go to, which makes me sad because every time- my experience is so amazing. In every single little way imaginable this family like environment makes you feel appreciated to the fullest, that no other casino i know of does. Quite honestly, there are way too many of those little things Im talking about to spend time typing an example of them. And then there are bigger and cooler ways that they make sure to give back to their beloved players, such as throwing in a little fun with the party people. Who walk around and pick people to play games just to hand u money. Its unbelievably incredible. THE BEST CASINO AND RESORT EXPERIENCE YOU CAN HAVE IN ALL OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. and im a gold member at almost all of them.

I love Barona, I am a loyal player there. Even after I moved out of state, this is still my go to place when Im in town (often). The players club staff are usually pretty friendly, except for my last visit. One of them was rather rude. I guess she was just having a bad day, but as I was calling from my hotel room to see if I am able to to get comps for the coffee shop, she automatically cut me off and said "you just called and I just told you no" without even asking for my information. After telling her I havent called her, she put me on hold for bout a good 4 mins and came back and asked for my information. When she realized she had made a mistake, she did apologize, but honestly instead of automatically assuming, she shouldve just took my information first. I have never gave a bad review to any place that Ive been too, but that particular employees tone was a bit harsh so I just had to mention it. I was always told "people never remember how you helped them, but how you made them feel in your presence". Maybe its something that particular employee should think about. All in all, I had a great time there.
