Well, this was a first visit for us. We went to Sycuan specifically for dinner, the buffet. We had heard the buffet was really good. So first of all, the drive was a little long and the distance we had to drive on the two lane highway was not enjoyable. It freaks me out. About parking, if your not up to doing a lot of walking just to get inside, It would be best to do valet or find a spot on the third level of the parking structure. Use the cat walk which is located on the west side along with the elevators. The Buffet. So after we paid, the wait to get a table for us was about 20-30 mins. With about 5 couples ahead of us. Noticed the dining area is about half the size of Viejas dining room. (If youve been to Viejas buffet). The food. There was a good variety of food. But the N.Y. strip steak was dry and tough. There are two choices of crab legs, cold & hot. The cold ones I had, some were under cooked. Was a bit salty not that good. They have a variety of desserts. The service however during our visit was not that good. The cashier that we paid was not friendly or helpful. Then we had to ask different workers several times just to get a refill. This is what we noticed. The workers in the red shirt do the seating, so they couldnt get us our refill, though they were just standing around doing nothing. They told us to ask the worker in the green shirt when they come around. But the green shirt people had more tables to look after than they could handle. The table next to us didnt get their drinks until half way thru their meal. They need to work as a team to make customer service better! This was our first trip to Sycuan Casino and we will not be returning.

Sycuan has the best shuttle service from all other San Diego casinos! They have the most pick up spots, and pick up more frequently than all the other casinos around San Diego. The bus drivers have good personalities. Only one in particular was horrible, accusitory, rude, and downright mean. He was a driver from the el cajon casino connection. He refused to allow my boyfriend on the bus because he was carrying a backpack. We planned a nice weekend at the resort. We ride the shuttle to the casino, then from the casino to the hotel, which is about 3 miles away. This driver ruined our weekend because he said we didnt need to take clothes to the casino. This worker should not he allowed to work with the public. He wanted us to feel like we were doing something wrong by taking a backpack with our personal hygienes and clothing with us on the bus to the casino. Well, if there were a bus that picks up and shuttles to the hotel that might be a good idea. Or get rid of employees that have exceptionally horrible customer service. We visit sycuan about every three days ( thats about 12 days per month) and always have our backpack on the bus, only one time were treated like this. Like a criminal, for taking a backpack???

Horrible customer service, always harrassed me to get a players card every time I went in the place. Finally after being so annoyed about it, I gave the pit boss my ID card. After 20 minutes with no players card or ID I asked what was going on. They told me to wait, a little longer.. Another 30 minutes goes by, they tell me to keep waiting for my ID and players card. Another 30 minutes go by and I forget I even gave them my ID and left the casino. I called the lost and found a week later, they told me they threw out my ID very shortly after I left it. I asked if I could be comped for the fact I now have to pay 25$ for a new ID and go to the DMV and they refused. So not only did they not give me my players card, they lost my ID ( they could have mailed it back to the address it showed costing a stamp) and refused to refund me for my lost time and for a replacement ID that they lost in the first place. Awful service, left a horrible taste in my mouth. Dont ask for my ID when you have no intentions of returning it. I will continue to play at Viejas where I am a respected player.

AVOID THIS CASINO LIKE THE PLAGUE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Awful. I have frequented poker rooms and casinos in San Diego since I was 18, I have NEVER been treated so poorly. I drove an hour to get here despite having casinos less than 10 minutes away from my house. I went with my girlfriend expecting to game a bit and have a buffet, I played poker for almost 2 hours and left when I was up money. I went to cash in my chips and the poker room staff directed me to a closed window, I replied "umm..." and they proceeded to mock me saying "ummmmmmmm what?". I went to the floor and cashed in my chips and asked how I could get my buffet for signing up with their player card and they told me (a winning player who was up money) that I was inelligable for a buffet. I WON MONEY FROM THIS CASINO PLAYING POKER AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE ME NEVER WANT TO COME BACK AND TO WARN EVERYONE TO NEVER VISIT THEM!

I was here at Sycuan to go to a special concert at Live & Up Close. I had plenty of extra time before the show, so I spent some time in the casino area. Im not a smoker, so I didnt last long in the regular section before I had to flee to the safety of Non-Smoking. Muuuuuch better. I also had the buffet, which is also luckily in N/S. Make sure that you sign up for the Players Club first thing, because it will get you discounts on the buffet and concert tickets. One weird feature is the fact that the escalator goes from 1st floor to 3rd floor, bypassing the 2nd floor landing with Non-Smoking and the buffet. You have to access those by the stairs or the elevator. There is tons of parking in the garage, and the bridge on the 3rd floor connects to the casino. They also have a golf resort that is located near the casino.

Over cramped rude people literally becoming horrible when wanting a machine. VERY low payout on slots free play is a joke food was HORRIBLE not to mention the severs counting trips to the buffet as well as plates and made you had amd turning that into a little joke among themselves just not quiet enough for us not to hear them. Was politely treated as if we didnt matter once we discovered we needed to go get an updated players card from another casino for tier match. If youre not already rolling in the dough youre nothing here and if youre not rolling in the dough ~ you wont be after stopping here either! Dont waste time mentioning any of the above to a host, youre offered an Im sorry and nothing else! Save youre money time and peace of mind and go to Vegas where they treat everyone as if they matter.
