Coyote Hills Golf Course is tucked away in the foothills. Designed by Cal Olsen and Payne Stewart with elegant waterfalls, cascading streams, cobblestone bridges and views on 250 acres of land. Coyote Hills has a "players club" and its well worth the cost for this award winning 18-hole course with southern views of Catalina Islands and northern views of Mt. Baldy. All carts are speedy, maneuver quite well and broadcasts in English, Korean, and Japanese. Tech heaven here---while in the cart you and/or your guest may order gourmet snacks or lunch at the touch of a button for mid-day break following your "birdie" on the 9th hole. Full maps and yards to the green are displayed on the GPS screen. Service was excellent---from check in at the "Players Club" snack bar and then off carting with our bags, clubs, Callaways, snacks, and Stella Artois (included for members) and a check in with the Course Marshall. Club benefits include "Golf Clinics" and the chance to learn with Kenny Kay (Resident Golf Pro) I must admit I ran out of balls (wind took them when I played before storm) and a course keeper kindly helped us and next thing we saw was six recovered balls allowing us to finish up and continue to hole 18. Thank you! When in town I will continue to play here, as its truly an ethereal experience with streams, well kept fairways, manicured greens and yellow flagged pins, professionally attired golf legends and not a sight of a Birkenstock sandal anywhere. Do continue to care for the wildlife here (they have a team that does this)! Families of Geese, ducks, egrets, finches, squirrels, coyotes and an occasional raccoon have been spotted at Coyote Hills Golf Course enjoying a refined life sauntering by waterfalls, running streams and views to the mountains and sea.

Played on a Thursday afternoon and got around the course in a little over 4 hours which is phenomenal. Last time I played it took 5.5 hours and I vowed never to come back again. The course is always in good shape, greens are excellent, people very nice. The only issue Ive ever had at Coyote Hills is pace of play but if my round last Thursday is indication of the new pace of play I will be back. The new Coyote Club package is an excellent improvement from the past and one I will seriously consider. My only suggestion is that management get on board with 90% of the Southern CA courses and lower the Senior age to 55 (like Black Gold for example). Do that and discount the Coyote Club green fees for seniors an additional $5 and youll have plenty of business.

I like the course but will forevermore avoid Sunday afternoon there. I was behind a "Swingers" club tournament Sunday which apparently was 3 foursomes of couples made up primarily of golf novices. Thats OK, but they should understand the need to keep up and keep pace but more importantly the course management should keep a marshal on them. At one point, on the 6th hole there were 6 foursomes on the hole - 4 on the teebox. When I finally found a marshal and talked to him he said he had no authority to hurry them along or to force them off the course. It was a 6 hour round that would have been worse had 2 groups not dropped off before finishing due to the frustration with the pace.

One of the great golf values in the OC. Course is nicely designed - you rarely see another hole other than the one youre playing. Pace is always good - no fivesomes here. Ive been a member for three years running and enjoy each and every round. Some nice scenic holes and you need to make shots to score well. You can bring a player of any level and theyll find both a challenging and enjoyable round. My only quibble: clubhouse bar decor is dated and menu is marginal. Could benefit by a refresh to match the rest of the facility, which is very well done.

We golf this morning at 6 am the workers never moved out of the green well we were trying to T on a par 3 Asked him why we wouldnt stop he said only until we got on the green. He was in the way!!!!!! Hole after hole this happened hole 17th worker again part 3 WATERING with a hose never even stopped we were putting and he kept watering. Stopped at the snack bar and muffins frozen. Where in the world going to a beautiful course and pay a lot of money and get screwed in your game. If I could give a zero I would.

Absolutely beautiful. Tee box, fairway, green, bunker, etc everthing is flawless. Friendly and helpful check-in staff and starter. I like this course because it is challenging, a lot of variance and beautiful view on top of the hill. Ill give a big applause for bunker maintainance, soft and much sands to work with. Tee box #17 was rough and our group was two teams but there were very few other players. Even we used some Red Dot coupons. Maybe its too expensive ($100 weekday reg.) to be attractive.

For weddings.. wow! I am a professional photographer and all I can say is every time I have shot at Coyote Hills Golf Course the venue leaves me breathless! Its beautiful rolling hills.. gorgeous creek that runs through the main areas, its stunning waterfall area that sets the background for the main ceremony site are all reason why this is such an amazing place to get married. The lighting that comes through there is magical!! A+ venue for sure!

Well kept course, greens play true. Found sand a couple of times but it was fluffy so easy to get out. Front nine is spectacular with elevated tee boxes and views over to Long Beach and DtLA. Hole 7 kills me every time. Back nine is less memorable but still plenty of good play. The approach to the clubhouse is very pretty and makes an excellent backdrop for photos.

By far, this is one of the most awesome courses I have ever played! Beautiful in every sense of the word. One of the most awesomely maintained courses I have ever played as well. Worth every penny you have to pay to play this course, I woke up this morning wanting to go play it again right now! Challenging yet fun if you play the correct tees.

Visited there on March 17, 2013. Mr. Jamison was flowing out of the bartenders bottle at an alarming rate. I really cant describe the course except that it was green. I remember someone taking my kilt and exposing me to the good Fullerton breeze. Well, I hope to remember some of the course this March 17, but who knows what will happen. Cheers!

Best course around, well kept, immaculate fairways, rough and greens. Challenging greens, fairways, stunning views and layout, so spacious that every hole is hidden from the others. Lots of water and beautiful streams and environmental areas. The pace was good, everyone playing in two-somes later in the day. Worth every penny, top of our list.

You feel like youre in the mountains. The golf course is well maintained and not too crowded with many challenging holes with elevated tees, waterfalls, trees and beautifully landscaped homes surround the golf course. The best golf course in the area.

Took advantage of the special $50 green fee, breakfast and lunch special. The food and service was outstanding, the starter and marshals were all extremely friendly and courteous. The course was in excellent condition. Will return as often as I can.
